I’m new to the leader board community but not to Angry Birds, and when I looked at my scores and just compared, I found two or three scores that were within range of the top score. This is in Poached Eggs. Is there any way to just see your AB scores (iPhone) without going into and exiting each and every level?
And how do I post my scores? I have to make an account, and then what? Thanks for any help! Can’t wait to be on the leader board!
BTW, autocorrect is changing “leaderboard” (one word) to two words. :)
I cant seem to see another way of going to see the scores other than clicking the level to see your score. Yes you have to register at ABN for posting scores on the leaderboards.

Also once you register, you have to click on leaderboards and click on any episode you want such as Poached Eggs and then you will see a box where “Enter your Score” will be written. Enter your score there.
How did djcbruin get 36000? I can only get 34000 and no higher!

How about a notification when someone beats your #1 score on the board? Or would that involve a lot of monitoring, could it be made automatic? :) just a suggestion
We would like to do something like this, and it would be automatic, but would also be a bit of work. Not in the immediate future, but down the road hopefully.

I’m feeling confused…I received a notification on a post by Kathy & Slim, from the 19th. When I click on it in my e-mail it took me here, as you can see there are no posts from the 19 th. I have navigated around trying to find it, the closes I have come is the leaderboard home page. However her question is not there either, or Slims response to her. I feel like I am losing an opportunity to be helpful. By the way, I think you should make Kathy the honorary Birds Nest Mama. :)

I have been trying to get higher than rank #100 scores for each of the 42 levels in Episode 2 (Mighty Hoax), and finally got there recently. In the process got to approach the two of you in overall score. Yesterday I finally solved 4-8 with one bird and passed both of you. This is how I did it to get 82,380. Aim the white bird high so it falls into the gap to the right of where the left-side TNT is at the bottom, then release the egg bomb just before the bird touches the right side of the wall (must be down into the gap between the two towers so that the white bird recoils to the right and the center tower topples). This can be done once in many tries with good aim and a bit of luck in timing the release of the egg bomb. But the real luck comes in getting the center tower not only to topple to the right but also to explode the right-side TNT, which is what I finally did yesterday — perhaps the 20th time that I toppled the center tower, so you can understand that it may take a long time. Good luck. Sooner or later both of you will regain your #1 / #2 ranks because I am moving on to another Episode.
Today, when I turned on my computer, my App Store icon showed that I had two updates, one adding Year of the Dragon to Seasons and the other a technical update for ABO which was nearly as large. I don’t know what it did, but it didn’t do what I wanted: eliminate the hypersentive touch pad problem that the last update created! Rovio’s staff created these games, why can’t they fix such a small problem? Argh!!
I had the same thing, somewhat but on my android I don’t know what that ABO update did but ii saw no diference, and I agree they should be able to just fix it…
I noticed that for example in 18-3, they seemed to have removed one cake on top of the structure. I was thinking there used to be two. That would take away 3,000 possible points. Not sure why this was removed. Anybody else notice anything similar?
There are 2 cakes on top for me and I haven’t updated. Strange thing to change!

That is odd. I have one cake sitting on top of the structure. I can post a screen print later today if there would be a lot of inconsistency. I have AB HD on iPad, which one do you have?
I haven’t commented on this yet, but it is actually far less significant than one may think.
1) iPad has received the 2.0.2 update (as had Mac PC and Nokia) but not elsewhere, thus te discrepancy.
2) In 18-3, the brown cake was not worth 3,000 points for some reason. Try bombing just those two cakes; it yields about 5k.
So for you, it’s gone as well from HD?
same here, the top right cake was removed after the update, on iPad. but not on mac.
I use a Mac, and although the cake with the brown frosting is still there and shows 3000 points when you hit it, Slim is right: you actually seem to only get 1000. That’s still an extra 1000 with no reason for the difference that I know of.
Rovio seems to be keeping track of the average scores. The score addict point requirements are very close to the total of the average scores for each episode.
How does Rovio know in advance what the average will be?
It could also be that the average player on here gets to score addict and then doesnt go further, meaning the averages here are similar to the score addict scores :)
Do the Facebook levels add to the world 14 score?
I don’t think so, since I don’t think they are part of World 14. They are sort of supplemented on their own.
A few days ago I reported this bug under the “Bugs and Glitches”.
Last time the 3 Facebook levels after World 14 in ABO were added to the “World 14 Total Score” in “Crystal”. This is also the case for “Game Center” if you check the “All Time” leaderboard (there’re 3 categories “Today”, “This Week” and “All Time” in “Game Center”). The problem is that both these don’t update their scores currently.
For the “Today” and “This Week” versions in “Game Center” for “World 14 Total Score”, the scores can get updated but they don’t count the 3 Facebook levels.
So far I’ve only seen this “score update” bug occur for the “World 14 Total Score” in both “Crystal” and “Game Center”.

Something is odd as I am 5000th in episode 5 but 690000 in world 14 , the maths do not add up.
I suffered the fb glitch and put it down to that, if you add my fb scores I am around 10000th in world 14 which makes more sense.
Happy to add my scores on here but wanted it to be correct first and finish ep 7.

Im going to find another user and see if I can find them on here and compare W14 to here, i think Facbooks are added as I am 50,000th for all worlds just not this one and score is about the same feel. Not 650,000th!

Players are released constantly. There’s a roster cap for the Super Bowl. Chad 85 was inactive last week, so maybe he will play in lue of Underwood.
BTW, Underwood would still receive a ring if the Patriots win.

Welcome bastieroxxor, amazing scores, congrats. I asked this in the forum but now you’re here I can ask in person. Do you know of any others with higher totals who you believe to be legit? It’s so hard to know who the official number 1 is or the WR score given all the hackers on GameCentre.
We all agree that it’s impossible to reach 31 millions.
On Crystal, it concerns 4 players who are between me and 31 millions. It’s easy to see that they hacked AB.
On Gamecenter, it concerns 9 players. 3 of them are those on Crystal and the others doesn’t appear in the top 100 of the episodes 5,6 and 7…
So, I don’t know another player with an higher total score than me.
@bastieroxxor — How about some general tips / tricks for getting really high scores? A lot of us AB addicts on this site are not experienced computer gamers; so feel free to insult us (me at least) with some real basics. To start with, I can’t believe you can get record high scores using an IPhone (as you do) without some accessory hardware, like maybe displaying image on a large monitor??
I can get high scores on my iPhone just fine (when I’m lucky)! It’s possible that it might be harder to do… I don’t know… But I don’t use any fancy add ons! ;)

The iPhone is a very good platform because you can play anywhere and there is no disturbing advertising on the screen (Android).
I don’t know if there is a special place on this website to talk about tips, but if you have a specific question for any level, I’ll respond with pleasure.
First you have to find the good strategy (youtube, why not), then to persevere and be lucky sometimes!

I am really impressed that you don’t use anything special (also disappointed, since I was hoping for a magic pill). I started playing AB on IPhone, but switched to IPad, because the little screen strained my eyes. I do read the walktrhoughs, sometimes over and over, but still have difficulty scoring much above average.
On Rio Smugglers Plane 11-13 I can’t even get close to average, despite trying everything suggested. A new strategy, greater detail, or a video might help. Thanks.

There are also ad-free for android which is what I have…but I don’t think I can get my scores as high as other platforms…
I think you should rename all the “World Total Score” as “Episode Total Score”. In either “Crystal” or “Game Center” for the iOS platform, “Episode” and “World” mean different things. ABO now has 7 Episodes and 18 Worlds.
We have used the words Episode/World interchangeably for a while, and calling the sets within “Chapters”. But maybe we will switch to “Episode Total Score” since we say episode more frequently.

I used to get called out all the time by a user called Jeanpaul2000, but I have not seen him around in the top 100 since Birdday Party. That’s what is fun about this site though, users challenging others. I used to be the number one in Mine and Dine for months, until Vaporizer offered some challenge. I finally took some distance in points, but recently lost my spot to some of our other top 10 players. It’s hard though to keep finding time to defend your position while also trying to improve other levels. I need to improve my other episodes now first.

I think Wrasheed meant that his/her score is about 50,000, and in terms of math that can mean 45,000 to 54,999. BTW 50,000 is possible but very hard(I used 2 birds for a score of 19,000. If I had don that with one bird,it would have given me 49,000).

I wanted to note that while it’s cool that th walkthroughs for the early levels are now individual, it’s too bad some of he old comments are gone. Some walkthroughs used to have comments, now there is sometimes nothing. And it’s rare for some of the incredible top scorers to comments. I know Manu likes to share, but on some scores I remain so far off and any strategy does not provide improvements. I believe I am a reasonably good player, but on some levels I just don’t see how more is possible, unless I has to be a pure luck shot.
The old walkthrough pages are still there. Check the last page or two of the particular episode you want. New comments have been disabled, but the only comments are still there.

Look at 3-19 for example. I think my score is high, yet I’m close to 20k off. There was hardly anything left to destruct, so then it comes down to birds used. There used to be comments if I remember well, now there is nothing.

At Last!
Well, it’s been a long slog, even though I am relatively new to Angry Birds, but I finally achieved two important personal goals: I broke 28,000,000 and simultaneously I broke into the top 200 here.
I started a few months ago and tried to finish all the levels, although with the occasional help of the Mighty Eagle. Then I went back and completed all scenes and my new goal was to eliminate my one-star. Then, about a month ago, I had completed all the levels with 3 stars but still was somewhere between 25 and 26 million points. So in the last month I went through, with the help of ABN, and began the process of being above the site average for each and every scene. I’m still not there, but I’m pleased that I have achieved these concrete goals.
I just don’t know how much further I can go. 30 million (and even 29 million) seems out of range. But I just wanted to pat myself on the back.

My first goal was 3 stars everywhere. Then I found ABN. Ranking wasn’t great, so just like you I worked on getting above average on each level. Then, my competitiveness kicked in, and I was challenged by some other players, so I just kept shooting. I don’t always have a lot of time, but have been able to reach a nice overall score. Would like to reach 30 mil next, but with space coming out soon, I may get distracted. I have not played seasons or rio, besides the free versions, but space sounds very appealing.

Hey hellsbells, we have indeed been leapfrogging each other the past few weeks. The guys right behind us are providing a new challenge as well, as the gap between you and me and the next player down used to be more substantial. With work and going back to college for my Masters, it’s been hard to have a lot of free time, but being on spring break now has allowed me to try to do some catch up on the first few episodes.
Okay, some more PE scores that have my doubts. 1-2 and 1-7 by the same user, and 2-20 looks impossible..

Ah, he is a google+ player. I played a few levels there in PE as some of my friends challenged me, and this I where I have a few scores higher compared to iOS. I’m not sure how different it is otherwise, but I would think these would be more difficult to hack compared to stand-alone programs. If a user has legit scores, and they are allowed here, we have to respect them provided they can back up their scores.
Since he is a Google+ player, couldn’t you “friend” him. That way he would show up on your leaderboard and you could verify his scores.

I see that some think that it’s impossible to achieve 7k+ on 2-20.
I thought that to. But, belive me, it is possible to achieve about 76000-77000 by my calculation. You could get 68500 score with two birds (i did it), but if you have a lot of luck, with one bird, it can go up to 77000. You can see from screen shot, that my brother has a score of 67690, which is second best. He also has now 4.614.000 total in poached eggs but he didn’t upload his scores.
He also has few scores that look impossible as the 2-20.
Please, feel free to add me on Google+ (search: Petar Vitic)and you will see that all is legal and I would gladly share with you my tactics.

You are welcome (invited even) to join the ABN community and share your tactics on the walkthrough pages. They would be much appreciated by all, especially those who are competing for the top spot. Doesn’t include me, but I appreciate good strategies to help me get to average.
I concur. I’ll never make the top 10 even, but I do try for the top 100 on this site, and it is often the strategies that I find here that help me attain that goal. I first do the best that I can on my own, and then I look at what others have posted. It may be “out of the box” ideas like launching the boomerang bird backwards or the yellow bird almost straight up, or it may just be a better placement. I’m willing to try anything.

Could you please go to each of the walk throughs explain how you got your scores. It would help us all out if someone here could duplicate your strategy. Since seeing your score on 2-20, I went back and played it for about an hour. Trying various 1 and 2 bird solutions with no luck of improving my score. I’m sure there are others who would also like to try your methods.
I think it is a little extreme to ask someone to post a strat for a level they have already completed..probably just a couple would do..it would be Wonderful if Murash was inclined to take the time to do that to share and help,,, but I thinkt would be pretty time consuming..if he/ she can even remember exactly what was done on every shot for every level…sorry sparty..just think its overboard…don’t b mad at me pleaze:)

@Kathy, no, I am not mad at you, or anybody here for that matter. I guess I just wasn’t clear. I didn’t want Murash to explain EVERY strat he used. Just the one for 2-20 and a few of the other levels that seem to be raising questions about his scores. Lord knows I probably couldn’t explain how I did every level.
@Murash, I wish to sincerely apologize if I came off as rude. It was not my intention. Its just that so many people have come here, posted crazy scores and never explain how they do it, get really defensive or worse. Most of them are just people looking to get the #1 score.

I don’t recall deleting them. We rarely delete scores unless they are obviously false.
I don’t think you have deleting them Slim. Maybe they only have been deleted without anyone tried to delete them.
When you try to go to another page while you are trying to enter a score, it deletes all of your scores that were just entered.

It only happens every once in a while.
You might try refreshing the page before you go to another page.
I’ve always had that problem, at least if I try to go to see the rankings for a level or a walkthrough. I’ve just gone back up a level, and then back down to where the score was posted, and then it’s permanent (and my standings have been recalculated, too). I’ll have to give the “refresh” option a chance since it’s easier. Thanks, mvnla2, for the suggestion.
Might be an outdated browser problem?
No, I just updated my Firefox (thanks for suggesting that; I thought I had it on automatic), but it still does the same thing. If I enter a score, and click somewhere else on that page to make sure it’s fully entered, but then go to either the walthrough or level rankings or both, and then come back to the first page, that score is gone and the “Enter Your Score” message (or my prior score if I just changed it) is back up. However, on the walkthrough page it shows the score that I’ve just entered, I’m in the rankings with that score, and if I just close the page and then reopen it, the score is correct. So my score is clearly in the system, and I don’t think that anything I do will change that, it just doesn’t show up for the time being. Hitting refresh both “fixes” the score and updates my overall standings, so that’s what I’ll do next time it bothers me that my score has disappeared.
Remove your cookies, that will probably do the trick.
Weird, I wonder if this is related to the database or page caching we use. That said, the leaderboards are not supposed to be cached, nor are pages supposed to be cached for users who are logged in (and you obviously have to be logged in to post scores). I appreciate this report and am looking into it.
Done wit PE episode2…all ove average except 2-9…that is the worst level I have ever seen I forgot how hard it was…

Not for long. I’m coming after him on a certain world. I’m not gonna tell you which one though.
Bastieroxxor MUST know that I am coming after him. I have been working on my world 4, and he has been improving his same scores that I have, and I haven’t even told him. I know because at the end of the day I recalculate his scores, and he’s 5 to 10k higher than he was the day before. This can’t be coincidence. How am I going to catch this guy? I want one level.
You have a long way to go yet, but keep playing. I had the lead in mine and dine for many months, and it was indeed cool, but then some newer players joined and I lost that spot. I changed my goals however, to get 30 million total, then I may try to once again get the mine and dine world. We’ll see. Good luck!
Go for it, Pointdexter. I worked up world 17 pretty well (1,885,xxx on iPod Gamecenter). As hard as I worked, I am still only marginally ahead of Bastie, and have not begun working worlds 15 and 16 yet. I got a little discouraged when I was unable to get some scores I really wanted. Too much luck and time spent based for me.
A good strategy for me has been to look at both the difference from high, as well as the overall ranking per level. Any time I’m not in the top 100 for a level, and I’m over 5000 from high, I feel I can improve. When the difference is 10,000 or more, I try to hit the level as hard as possible to get both points and ranking improved. Sometimes you can use the walkthrough comments, or YouTube to change your strategy. Other times it’s just a lucky shot.

You can compare any two individual leaderboards by going to an app/episode leaderboard and adding “&u=[first_id]&compare=[second_id]” to the URL.

Thanks! I’ve probably spent more time playing Mighty Hoax (especially World 5) than most people on here spend on the entire game.

Boy! Talk about phony ego boost! Overnight, I went from around 180th place to 39th place (although, as the day wears on, I am steadily dropping.)
All I had to do was upgrade my iPhone app and get access to Surf and Turf. Suddenly, instead of being in the low 28 millions, I’m in the 29 millions. I must be truly a great Birder!
Actually, I spent the early hours this morning getting to 3 stars on all 15 iPhone Surf and Turf levels. It didn’t take too long. What surprised me, however was achieving the #1 score on level 10. I followed the advised path towards 3 stars on this level. All I can say is that if you try often enough, you can luck out and have all the pigs die using only the first bird. No great skill here; just perseverence.
Now back towards upping my scores on the first 303 levels.

I’m not convinced about these new levels. They all seem a bit rushed and fairly basic.
These seem to be the new Facebook ones. I was surprised how many were one-birders, so where it really just comes down to how lucky you get in the amount of destruction done. But this could be with a purpose, to get a new crowd interested in AB.
Don’t forget that they are Facebook levels, and on Facebook you can use power-ups. Without power-ups, one bird solutions are required. But on Facebook you can get 3 stars with two or 3 birds if you use power-ups.
Facebook levels or not, they are still quite boring.
What about Surf&Turf…When it will be for Android?Or it is in Android,but not for my version(2.0.2)???
