Set Items

Exact same Team. I faced the Set before I knew of its existence, so was unaware of its Bonus. I KOd Chuck first turn and he resurrected, no retaliation. I then read up on the Set and faced it again, same result. The only time I have had it proc against is when Chuck was outright KOd, then the enemy Red and Bomb both had a Bonus Attack against my Team.

Valiant, Vengeful, Wizard with Last Will, Sea Dog with Scissors, Paladin with Dragon Breath.

Good thing I quit the arena.

Is Vengeful really that bad? Resurrection or TJ are much more of an issue, and I can’t seem to do much with my own Vengeful emblem :P

@smwforever45 It’s not really that Vengeful is bad. It’s just the combo of all the abilities.

Imagine Chuck gets KOed while Sea Dog is attached to Paladin. Chuck will explode, Paladin and Sea Dog will attack, Sea Dog will get an extra turn from Paladin’s attack, all with a high chance of Dragonbreath and Scissors triggering. Then Valiant shortens the wait to do it all again. That could possibly end humanity. xD

Resurrection and TJ would be a powerhouse too, but Vengeful just works so much better with this setup.

I just faced a team having Red, Chuck with that new set and Matilda. I knocked out Red first and then Chuck. But Matilda did not attack anything.

@partshade I am interested in the retribution attack linked to Sea Dog. I have yet to encounter this situation, but have wondered what will happen.

@pointless It does actually. I played one match against an opponent and when I lost the toss, the AI went for Chuck as expected. When he was knocked out, my Emblem of Resurrection and Last Will triggered at the same time. Chuck came back but 2/3 opponents were KO’d.

Yes I love the set.
Makes knocking out Chuck dangerous, you should knock him out last.

Seems we are all experiencing different proc situations with the new Set. Last battle I specifically targeted Chuck to try and figure ut out. KOing him often resulted in the expected retaliation, but sometimes nothing. I have yet to see it proc on a Resurrection against, but maybe the Set is buggy (wouldn’t surprise me, given the track record).

hey guys I have a question:

is there a hugh diffrence in hitpoints between set item from gold or dimond? does some1 know it?
i have a gold Valiant set and Im wondering if I should got for the dimond when the x5 comes

My unenchanted Diamond set items at L62 have +975 HP compared to my unenchanted Silver set items at L62. This goes for the head part as well as the flag part.
If you’re a person to enchant to E5+ this can make quite a difference since differences will get bigger the higher the enchantment rank.

(The HP bonus for non-set items is much higher, by the way. Diamond heads and flags have +640 HP compared to Platinum heads and flags. This is why my Diamond non-set items highly outclass my Diamond set items in hitpoints despite being L61 instead of L62. Ironic.)

Also, if you’re curious to know, your current bird level has a MUCH higher influence on the banner health than your current league has. My unenchanted L62 Silver set items have +1530 health compared to my unenchanted L52 Silver set items!

@pointless I wondered about Resurection hoping it wouldn’t proceed. It did however. Chuck resurrected I was attacked and the game froze. Happened exactly that way in two separate battles. You are correct it’s bugged.

I just had a battle in which the Set did not proc at all, despite three separate occasions where I KOd Chuck with other Birds standing. Nothing. Set is definitely buggy, so we will have to wait to see how it will play, specifically with Resurrect, as I still have yet to see this proc the way others have.

I finally had Bones proc against me on a Resurrect. Sorry to all who use the Set, but this is simply not right. It amounts to a double benefit that greatly changes the dynamic. A KO is a KO, which can be nullified by Resurrect, and should definitely not cause Last Will to proc. @roviobeni

Secondly, I believe I have figured out why I am not seeing the Set proc sometimes, and to be fair I will say so in the same post. Seems that when my SeaDog KOs Chuck while linked to another Bird, this somehow does not count and I suffer no retaliation, even though the enemy Chuck is most certainly on the floor. An exploit to be used against a currently OP Set.

After having lots of bad luck on my Nest GPM lately I finally got Steel Wall completing my Protector’s Aura set. :) A set I don’t see much use for yet because it’s mostly defensive. :P

@pointless I spun the set this morning so I’m giving it a try. Since I lose the toss virtually every spin it might keep Chuck standing to have a turn. Not sure I will continue with it though. I have taken to not playing Chuck unless I need the services of Mana but there again more that 50% of my opponents use ETB.

My Paladin is now 60/15 and all my other Elites are 60/14 but it doesn’t matter in what combination I use them I still lose the toss. I have abandoned the theory that it’s related to power. It’s simply rigged.

So if Chuck (with Last Will set) is resurrected by emblem, remaining Birds make their attack, including Chuck because he remained too :D?

@kennymcc I had 5x riot this morning. 15LC spin produced both pieces so I am ahead after the 4 dungeons.

I don’t have a Resurection emblem so can’t try it with that. I am using TJ because I can’t use Vengeance or Retaliate due to excessive freezing. I have only played a couple of games so far but I am hoping that TJ will proc from a bonus attack. I will have some time to give it a good work out this evening.
