While I did make it to Diamond… my team is weak. My power rating is ~1,400. Some people have 2,000+. It’s mainly due to the fact I never enchant my set items beyond rank 5 (I consider anything beyond that a waste of Shards when you don’t have them en mas…). My Arena team really isn’t strong.

I’m not playing different battles than you. :P
Levels 3, 6 and 10, basically the three that had rather strong enemies that could do a lot of damage, have been the ones I struggled on:
– Level 3: When the German Spectators use their support ability, and masses of Volleyball Pigs all decide to attack a single enemy (which happens rather often!), I’m screwed.
– Level 6: I can defeat Coach Pig within two turns. But ONLY if the Brazilian Spectators don’t use their support ability. Otherwise, I’m screwed.
– Level 10: The Refereee Pig simply has too much health. I can’t defeat him within three turns.

However, replacing my M11 Capt’n with my M7 Elite Seadog, I was able to solve my problems. :) It sounds ironic – but Sea Dog is simply an awesome class. He’s well useable at a low Mastery level.

Do not hesitate to use Chili Cakes when it is needed. It is not so hard to make alot of them. These tough event battles are right place to use them. When I had weaker birds and saw tough enemy pigs, I used Chili Cakes alot to make Rage attacks as much as possible :) Do u have 75%-Chili cakes or at least 50%?

Yeah I do get that, but only if I watched the last ad less than 24 hours ago. If it’s more than that, it seems to work fine.

I have ~30 of the Chilli Cakes in my inventory. Yes I do have the 75% ones (I maxxed out all potions long ago). If I wanted to make more I’d need more Flaming Pumpkins. :P

I haven’t got the free Stamina since the first attempt. All I get is “no ad scheduled”, or upon watching the ad, nothing added to my reserves.

level 10: I have Chuck with Reset Set and the Treasure Hunters Blues. I got at least 4 trials before that Referee Pig attacks me. Once I was not able to delay his attack, my Pally with devotion took the hit of about 1800 damage only. (I got Princess Matilda to force all enemies to attack Red.

TH can also make Red immune to any negative effects.

I had the same problem once during this event and many times in the past. I found that it happens more likely during certain time (between 6am and 9am Pacific Time). Then I try to avoid using all the stamina during those hours.

Ad for free stamina doesn’t add to your reserve(or inventory or whatever you call it), but to your current usable portions.

@smwforever45 No matter what, you have to endure at least one or two stages without using the Chili. There is a coach pig in the middle wave while there’s another of those (name I cannot remember) in the last wave and both of those get a buff. I believe that’s where you are getting the trouble.

What is your line-up and your equipped items?

That is almost exactly the strength of my current team! I have seen the teams with a power rating higher than 2000, too. The same applies to my usage of Shards, only one set item for Red is higher than level 5. I have not enchanted one single arena item, so my banner is still really weak. I carefully thought about boosting my preferred items above that level but just before I wanted to do it Rovio released the 1.4.3 update and increased everything again. So luckily I did not spend Shards, LC´s or anything else before! Without using autoplay, spending real money or using LC´s I needed more than two months of grinding and dojo visits just to bring only two birds from M12 to M14. I was only a couple of days short to reach M12 for all my birds before the 1.4.3 update was released. We all know what that meant….

Enough said, I just won my last podium in this event and will try to catch first place on my leaderboard. Currently second place just 1500 points short of the leader, no need to use my saved stamina drinks. I saved 200 of them and will spend some of them to reach the golden clouds as soon as the gate opens.

I dont think so, @smwforever45 can make at least one rage attack per wave with the use of Chili Cakes.

@smwforever45 Burning Pumpkins can be farmed in Pumpkin Plateau-2 :)

I wrote about that “there is currently no ad scheduled” issue to Rovio. How is that possible, if we have tons of annoying ads before battles all the time.

I think “no ad scheduled” is just poorly worded. It actually means “you can’t watch another ad yet, 24 hours haven’t passed yet”. That’s why there should be a timer…

The one thing you need to do is make an in-app purchase. Pick the smallest one. That’s some free LC’s for you, but more importantly, you will ONLY see ads when you choose to do so (free stamina, free chest, free GPM roll etc.)! :)

The pop-up seems to always pop up after the first battle after midnight was done and when there’s less than 3 (or 5?) stamina left. That’s how you could control it I guess…

@kennymcc That’s an option if he wishes to use them (like I never use potions). Otherwise, he’ll have to struggle with at least one wave.

Any strategy suggestion for #9? The 2 wave with 3 birds. I do only have a weak paladin as a bought with gold unit. every other bird is 3 on average with some 4. My level is 38.
The problem is i can’t get the reff(?) down fast enough and i take too much dmg. I can’t even blast through consumables fast enough (not all updated, 50% chili and 200hp potion). Any combo advice and strategy would be greatly appreciated!

@suikyo yes, the ads haven’t actually given Stamina Potions for a while now. What I experienced was that I watched the ad for the 5 free Stamina, yet upon finishing the process, my Stamina remained at 0/15.

It did just work correctly for me just now, however.

First of all prepare good load of Chili Cakes and use Rage attacks as much as u need to win.

@chriss9 I’ll just go ahead and assume that you have no Elite class or the Golden Chili then. Very well.

Try Guardian, Rainbird, Druid. keep it so that even if you get hit, you will have a healer and after getting hit, your Avenger will get stronger. You can also use Berserker so that when yo are attacking, the Rage Chili will give him a bonus attack boost. For maximum effect, use Bomb AFTER you have attacked the coach pig with the other two birds so that he gets the benefit of the somewhat filled up rage chili at the end of your turn.

When you start the battle, first use all birds on that pig coach. Guardian will reduce attack power while the other birds will hit and also deal damage over time. Do not focus your offense on the other pigs as of yet. They can be finished off later.

Alternatively, since you are using potions, if you have a Mighty Eagle’s Favorite Dish, you can just use one of that.

One other thing you can do is Enchantment. Since you are not using set items, you can just use materials and Snoutlings to enchant your normal items so that they can be a bit stronger.

@chriss9 If you bought the Golden Chili, take Wizard with you along with Berserker. When the battle starts, immediately use Berserker on that pig. Do NOT use the chili as the full rage chili right on the first turn will give your Berserker a huge boost. THEN use the rage chili on Wizard and finish off the rest. Trust me, you will have a very easy time noe. :)

@chriss9 If you can, get the Treasure Hunters. It makes it really easy to defeat them when you catch the Pig charging up and reset them. They get stuck in a charging up loop and won’t be able to do any damage at all.
