I’ve run across a glitch in a few of the Pirate King event battles where pigs seem to be starting the event with Counter already activated, causing them to counter for large amounts of damage on the birds’ first attack. Have lost a couple battles because of this shouldn’t-be-possible automatic counter.

The exact same thing happened in my Event leaderboard. Player’s name is “GG” and they have 30,875 points. Second place has a more realistic 9,875.

Encountered a bug in this event. If I use sea-dog’s passive ability on blues, rage chili chuck, sea dog is supposed to attack the bird blues attacked. This doesn’t happen sometimes. I paid attention and seadog just sits there for some weird reason. Also had this happen to me once at arena.

@jamairoqui, who are you on the leaderboard? I’m the one in second place, and I can guarantee that I have not been cheating. I was shocked as well when I saw the GG score.

@mimi27 I hope you haven’t been wasting Stamina drinks on trying to catch GG.

Have a look at the other Pirates threads. It seems GG is on a lot of leaderboards, and, from what tigerussell observed, gained most of his points in about an hour. We suspect he just reset his score.

@kerravon, I just saw that GG is on many leaderboards. I read the post in this thread about GG before I read the other posts. No, I haven’t been trying to catch GG! Just making sure I keep my 2nd place.

I lost three times on the battle arena yesterday. A day has passed, new goals have been set, and yet the game is still telling me that I’ve lost three times and I have to pay 20 coins to play again. I’ve already closed out the game and restarted with no luck. Any other suggestions? Rovio ID is oldblackmagic. Thanks.

@oldblackmagic – IIRC arena reset isn’t midnight like the golden pig. Has it been more than 24 hours since your last loss, or was it just previous calendar day?

It’s been almost 24 hours since my last loss and my wait countdown until I can play again is 17 hours. It always coincides with the daily objectives. Last night after I lost the third time it gave me a time window to wait. It was the exact time until the next objectives. The objectives changed and my countdown to play again reset to another full day.

Normally, I wouldn’t care but this is the last day and I’m in 11th place currently on the leaderboard. If I can’t play I might loose my position and get bumped down a league tomorrow.

@oldblackmagic It sounds like there was a bug in your system. Others have reported not getting their banners reset with a new set of objectives.

Probably the only option is to spend the 20LCs to get the 3 new banners and playing the new objectives. Then send in a support request to Rovio explaining the issue and ask them to please refund your 20 LCs. Otherwise you risk a demotion.

Okay. Thanks for the help. How are Rovio on refunds? I’ve emailed them before in the past about issues with the game and no response.

Btw….I’ve experienced the same glitch hangrybirds wrote about in the above post. In the pirate king event battles sometimes a pig counters an attack right away without first activating it.

@oldblackmagic You have to go to the Rovio support page (just google Rovio support), register with them and submit a request.

I would just say something like “Yesterday I lost my three banners playing in the arena. At the objective reset time today, I received my new set of objectives but the banners did not reset. I had to spend 20 LCs to get a set of three new banners in order to play to achieve my new set of objectives. Could I please have the 20 LCs I spent on the new set of banners refunded to my account?”

They should respond relatively quickly – but you will have to wait until at least Monday in Finland. I can’t guarantee they will refund the LCs, but I would expect that they would. You just need to be clear, polite and unambiguous.

With regard to the bug with the pirates, see the Pirates thread. The bug occurs when you stun one of the pirates – they for some reason respond as if counter was active when you stun them.

GRRRR. Is there a way to undo a DOJO purchase? Twice now I’ve accidentally pressed a 75 gold coin purchase, needlessly squandering away my long-earned gold coins! This majorly blows and smells scam-y to me :|

@osagej4 Scamy? Choosing to select something is entirely within your control. Tapping the wrong button is not a scam.

I agree that “scammy” might be a strong word, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a confirmation when spending that much “real” money. Sixty LC cost $2.99 if you were to buy them outright, so 75 LC cost about $3.75 — that’s a cheap meal at McDonald’s. If I buy an app costing $3.75 from the Play Store or the iTunes App Store, there is a confirmation. Can we maybe find some middle ground and agree that perhaps for any LC expenditure over, say, 15, there should be one more confirmation?

Through the eyes of the upside/downside ratio I can’t see anyone getting overly uptight about such a policy, saying, “Dang it, I want to spend all these LC and I keep getting nagged one extra tap before I can spend them!” I can, however, imagine plenty of folks like @osagej4 saying, “Whew, thanks for saving me almost four bucks with that confirmation!”

I develop applications. Confirmation windows are standard and handy. They tend to make people on both sides of the application happy. I agree with you in saying Rovio isn’t perpetrating a scam, but I can also see the point in considering measures be taken to prevent player frustration. Because that’s a win-win. Me, if I were osagej4 I would simply exploit the Golden Pig time zone bug until I felt things were even. Would only take about a day to make 75 LC back…

Arena Problems (or just my problems):

1) I get matched up with all mastery level 10 birds with maxed legendary sets and maxed legendary banner sets the majority of the time. The majority of my birds are mastery level 9 with only 3 or 4 birds at mastery level 10, and I’ve managed to get low level legendary banner sets, but nothing at a stronger level. Not sure how to win an arena this way.

2) It seems that the coin flip is weighing the odds in opponents favor. I counted today, in 10 games I won the coin flip once. This has been evident on a consistent basis. To more accurately put it, it also seems like the coin flip is weighed in the favor of the stronger opponent. On the rare occasion that I face a weaker opponent, I seem to win the coin flip the majority of the time.

Anyone else noticing this or feeling the same way?

There are threads in the forum devoted to both of these topics.

1. Other people are mentioning the same thing, that there seems to be a mismatch in opponent strengths. There is no good work-around (aside from shutting off network connections to get an easier opponent) other than figuring out a bird team that can deal with most opponents you face, so that you can cycle through the ones that you know beat you more often than not.

2. No conclusion was reached on whether or not the coin flip is fair. Tracking wins/losses in some cases suggests it is biased. However, the evidence was not completely persuasive and some people remain convinced it is fair, and the negative bias observes (more losses of the flip than wins) is simply due to a small sample size.

I’m having Faceboo issues, too. App logged me out of Facebook and I can’t log in again. I’ve tried through the totem and in the Chronicle Caves. No luck.

Hey I got this bug/glitch in Angry Birds Epic. It first happened to me when I’m playing the Arena. One of the opponent’s bird (I forgot what that bird is) knocked my Samurai Red out. When I hold my Red for its info, its life bar says he has -151/1000 lives. I really found it weird.
