@partshade — The thing I hate most about the Magician Pig is that he can teleport to the center of a bounce pad, where he will bounce up and down for ever (as far as I can tell). It’s almost impossible to get him when he starts doing this. However, if you have Matilda, release her egg directly above the center of the bounce pad when the Magician is near the top of his bounce. Egg will collide with Magician.

@mvnla2 Thanks for the tip! I’m going to be updating the guide soon adding new strategies and I could use some new tips like this. Although I’m a bit unsure about having tips where you use one specific bird. I gotta think it over :P. Feel free to post anymore tips you have though! Every bit makes the guide better.

Added new tips and strategies for the Rocket Pig, Magician Pig and Miner Pig.

Added the Chemist Pig and Bosses.

New tips for Miner Pig and Construction Pig have been added as well.

Great work @partshade! This guide is really getting better and better. ;)

@orangebubbles Thanks! I’ll keep it going as long as I’m on ABN!

@partshade The other day I saw a pig that is not yet in the guide, but I forgot to take a screenshot. :(

It’s a simple pig but with some kind of gun that resembles a rocket, but smaller and facing us, just like a turret. I don’t know what he does because I popped him before he did anything (I only had 1 live left).

Since then, I’ve been trying to find him again, but don’t even know what the level was (apart from being in “Steakholm”).

It is certainly a very rare pig, but I’m stupid and missed the opportunity. :(

@rizdub
, you never found anything about this pig in the game files?

Anonymous

@orangebubbles Wow thats weird. It only had a gun and that’s it? No accessories? Sounds like a base model for a new army pig or something. :D

According to @rizdub I did have all the pigs. You know, before the update. :)

Orange Bubbles
@orangebubbles

@partshade It was before the update and was really weird. It was just a standard pig next to that gun (if it was a gun, but I never saw anything like it in the entire game). So, probably, he isn’t listed as a different enemy, because it’s just a standard pig. But the gun may be listed along with the other objects, like the rockets.

If only I knew the exact level where I saw it, everything would be easier. :P

@rizdub

@orangebubbles @partshade From my knowledge (and the data files) it seems you may have encountered a pig next to a “cannon” prop. The prop might be a more rare one, which would explain why it’s so hard to find.

Orange Bubbles
@orangebubbles

@rizdub Yes, I think that’s what I found. But that cannon is a VERY rare prop indeed. I only saw it once and don’t even know if it does anything. Thanks for the info! ;)

The game has so few props and even then it doesn’t make use of them all. It’s sad.

I’m not sure if this has already been posted, but if the best shot is near the Purple-Gun Miner Pig, you can just wait for him to fall asleep. Once he’s asleep, he won’t fire.

@sivertm I did consider adding that one but didn’t really think it was necessary due to the fact that the majority of flingers know about it. Thanks though!

What’s with the new Inferno piggy? (Level 400+) He’s got an explosive personality.

Anonymous

@7im He’ll show up eventually :).

Aeshna
@aeshna

This is an Anti-gravity pig!

Found on the new levels recently added, about level 427.

Just defied gravity and hung there, even managed to bounce up and down while laughing.

image.jpeg

Seriously though, I think these little pigs on the newly added Ham Fransisco levels are harder to kill than ever.

Anonymous

@aeshna Wow. I’ve seen that happen to stone blocks but never actual pigs. That’s insane!

I found a Spiderman pig a little while back:

<img src=”https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/wp-content/uploads/album/23551/Screenshot_2015-12-27-17-25-56-640×360.png” alt=”Screenshot_2015-12-27-17-25-56.png” /

He just stuck there instead of rolling. :P

BTW it’s hard to get pictures to work on my new phone so just click the link until I figure it out. :P

AndalayBay
@andalaybay

I’ve had that problem with the little pigs for a while now. @partshade, yours looks feasible since there is a vertical piece next to him.

I’ve had a little bugger sit with just the slightest bit touching an edge and he never falls. No fans nearby to theoretically keep him there either. It’s really annoying and I hope it gets sorted.

Here’s another one: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/andalaybay/album/picture/17854/

Anonymous

@andalaybay Thing is, the pig never actually touched the block (Or else the block would have been nudged before the screenshot, which didn’t happen).

Yeah these sticky pigs are a real problem. You’d think Rovio would of fixed it by now :P. Although I’m beginning to think that this is a secretly intended feature to force extra birds and therefore money for Rovio.

@rizdub

@partshade – Be on the lookout for two new pigs in the new chapter. I’m not sure if they appear in the 20 levels out now, but they’re listed in the data files: a Swimming Pig and a Scuba Pig.

Also do you plan on adding the Exploding Pig (from Ham Francisco) to your list?

Anonymous

@rizdub Oh cool thanks for telling me.

Yes I’ll have him added particularly soon. I just have to beat a few more levels to get to this guy.

Also while I have your attention, could you look back at the data files and tell me the official names of all the pigs?

RizDub
@rizdub

@partshade Some of these names are just descriptions of the pigs’ abilities and probably aren’t actual “names.” Regardless, here’s what I was able to find:

Pig: Minion Pig
Golden Pig: Golden Pig
Helmet Pig: Armor Pig
Umbrella Pig: Umbrella Pig
Rocket Pig: Jetpack Pig
Balloon Pig: Balloon Pig
Wizard Pig: Snowball Pig
Construction Pig: Stone Thrower Pig
Miner Pig: Polymorph Pig
Fireman Pig: Fire Thrower Pig
Magician Pig: Teleporter Pig
Chemist Pig: Shuffle Pig

Also the new pigs are “Exploder Pig,” “Scuba Pig,” and “Swimmer Pig.”

Anonymous

@rizdub Ok thanks. This next update is going to be a big one! :D

Anonymous

Woo! Finally got the guide up to par. Changes include:

New Angry Pig!
Huge Miner Pig overhaul!
Added official names of all the pigs! (Thanks @rizdub)
