About the Angry Birds 2 Arena

When I lost tracking of my scores in the Arena two weeks a ago, I was busted back to Vanilla League – despite having about 500 stars. In the Vanilla League this week all my opponents are Duamond League (4 with the impossible Azure Slingshots) and I am in distant 4th place with 936 stars.

With the update this week, my matches went from 8 – 9 star wins to 6 -7 stars (how is it players with level 14 birds with an Azure slingshot can’t score higher)? I can’t maintain this playing tempo next week so assume I won’t be able to ever move up. My son is in first place in the Bronze League with 119 stars.

Despite ‘more’ (?) parity in the matchups, the Arena scoring, ranking, and tracking is still definitely a disappointing mess with numerous bugs yet to be resolved.

What @davetv – I am losing 90% of all my matches since the new update, prior to that I was winning 90% of all my matches. All my birds are on Level 13 and very soon to be on 14. I am loosing to players with Level 10 birds.

I am getting slaughtered, also my scores seem lower, like the score multiplier is not working correctly. Before coming here I thought that I just suddenly got really bad at the game.

Last 2 weeks were very good for me and I was winning almost every battle.
This week it feels like I’ve hit the wall. Losing very often even at strike 1 or 2…
At the end of the battle my opponents seem to gain impossible amount of points and i lose.

I’ve lost 7 out of 9 games today. Been beaten by 2 million points on level 2. Last week I was completing the full streaks.

Wow, my video bird was Ice Spell, not sure why my score didn’t go any higher after I used it.

Nice, right in the middle of my last game and the app just stopped and forced me to update. When I reopened it I still had my play, but I was winning a streak 5. When I reopened the app I was still on streak 5 but it gave me one of the new Gravity Generator levels that I hate, and I got destroyed.

yup. That’s how effectively I got bomb levelled up to 14 very quickly :) Now its seems the chests are now giving me feathers now. I guess it was because I was maxed out.

Opponents are harder to beat, birds are often ineffective and like I wrote before: That crap “opponent gets hundred thousands extra points at the end of the match” is back.

Well I´ve got to say something about Terrence: it´s all about the angle. I´ve had him gone through everything with the right angle. Straight on is a big no.

This game is has been really crazy the last few weeks. Before the Bday update, I could hardly ever get a 7 streak due to facing opponents with higher cards and equipped with every single spell. Right after the Bday update however, I had a week of bliss…no more facing opponents with spells and after buying a few hats, I almost never lost and could easily get 10 stars a match. Now this week…I notice 100% of my opponents have a silver sling to match mine and getting past a 3 streak I’m almost impossible again…this is rigged for sure.

Same bug for me! I can’t pass the people with lower birds and they are doing much more point than me. i use to win 80% of the game in the arena, now for the pAst 3-4 days i won 5 of 30 .. What’s the point? If they want me to pay for gems they have to fix that crap!

Seriously, a wood level, and while I was lucky enough to get Chuck to begin, my opponent got 2 a level higher. Do I have to say how this round ended?

I’ve been noticing recently that my opponent’s Destruct-o-meter has been consistently filling up faster than mine.

I still have no idea how that thing works. In the past I’ve noticed that when both my opponent and I have exactly the same score (that’s happened several times), the Destruct-o-meters are at different positions, sometimes in my favor, sometimes not.

Now, even if I’m around 300,000 points ahead, my opponent always seems to have an extra card, and it’s not because the game has “skipped his turn” (which it used to do occasionally); his meter just seems to fill up faster, especially near the end of a match.

@sonicwave I have noticed a lot, I will be watching their meter near the end of a match and even though it looks like they should not get the extra bird somehow they always do, and another, I assume the video bird if you are losing.

Also I am very tired of losing not because my opponent is better but because while I am stuck on a level wasting birds waiting for the one bird that will finally work on the material, my opponent is getting the perfect birds throughout the whole level, while we don’t see their game I am sure I make it through 3-5 rooms while they get the birds to clear 6+.

Maybe i’m just lucky but i just won 7 times in a row almost without using spells (used inflator and blizzard in #7). Yes, opponents going progressively harder (in #1 were 2xl6 +5xl5 and in #7 6xl7 + 1xl6 birds; i have 6xl6 + 1 l5 bird) but nothing unbeatable. Maybe it’s because i’ve bought nothing yet?

I just wasted 180 gems, last day of League and tied for first, already lost the first round and was losing video round because my birds were doing NOTHING, down by 400,00 and still lost because 7 birds total could not get me 400,000 because they were doing almost no damage.

This dumb game is back to its old dumb tricks again, after losing the 2nd streak it took me FIVE attempts to get my next win, I actually had to use the duck, blizzard & hot chilli spells to earn just 5 stars (only won by 200k), I am NOT impressed with this rigged game!!!

What’s going on with the arena? The last 2 weeks were really horrible. I am a fair player with many golds and now I can barely reach the 8th place with 482 points when the first 7 (!!!!) are between 1000 and 1450 points! In the past I could score around 1000 but now it’s impossible. I am star level 91 with all my birds at level 12 (except for Chuck) and I kept on getting opponents with bird level 13 or above (how is it possible when level 14 is just introduced?) with all spells! How can I compete that? Since the day before yesterday it’s a bit better, I get opponents with higher bird level but no spells for them. Is it so difficult for the game makers to match you with an equal opponent in the arena? It’s becoming too lame.
Another thing I noticed is that levels have become much more difficult (at least for me) so you need sometimes more than 2 birds to finish one scene.
Lastly, sometimes it’s really ridiculous and annoying how a bird can’t break a material (even Terence concerning glass or wood!!!) or a pig is miraculously survive an attack and goes to an impossible place for you to hit, resulting in wasting birds and eventually in losing the game.

Yep, this is the worst. I haven’t been able to beat stage 1 of a streak in the last two days! Last week I came in first in the area with my highest score ever (over 1000). This week im in 8th place with 550. The guy in first has 840

Ok. How is it possible to have 3-4 birds upgraded to level 14 already? And I´m curious: how many pearls do you need to get a blue sling? In my League the majority of them have a blue sling. If they cheat, remove them on the spot. They take up space and killing the mood in the arena. And I agree: the matchmaking has to get better.

So my only hope of winning the 7th match of a streak is to bring at least a Duck and a Chili. Since I have no chilis I knew I’d need to play the daily challenge. I’m also within 20 stars if being demoted out of Diamond and I will NEVER WIN ANOTHER ARENA so that’s a permanent situation. After THREE HOURS OF CONTINUOUS PLAYING I STILL HAVEN’T EVEN SRRN THR LAST ROOM OF ROUND THREE!!!!! WTF? Finally I got strikes in rooms 1-3 and a birdie in 4 and then bam. SIX BIRDS IN ROOM FIVE. Four on one pig. Caps don’t yell loudly enough and I refrain from swearing (mostly) because ABN is a family site. But really Rovio. H E Double Hockey Sticks is too good for you.

I have used more gems today than in the last month. I started the day barely in first place, and lost so badly early today I fell to 3rd quickly, I have used over 400 gems just to try to get 1st back. And even that is iffy, my birds stink and my opponents outmatch me and are Angry Birds Gods, meaning they seem to be able to create birds from thin air.

And I have gotten the same HORRIBLE new Gravity Generator level 3 of the last 4 rounds.
