Desperado – the bird back on bomb is quite frequent, and I think just a consequence of how the function works. If you have bomb first and blow the level up, it’s then your only missing card and gets replaced on that first desctructometer bird-back (giving bomb #2). This can then arrive back in the hand and get used quite quickly, so the third or fourth desctructometer bird-back gives another bomb (the third) and then of course they can have the free vid at the end… yielding bomb (funny how mine’s always blues!) number four.

@rippiggies: finally anyone else sees this too! It’s always the blues from the Video isn’t it???

I mentioned this a couple of posts earlier when I got so frustrated from the complete uselessness of the blues in 95% of the cases. Nevertheless almost every time I get the blue bird, there is no ice.

lol CaptSternn i remember unique moments of the past clearly…once battling with someone i was winning the opponent spent all birds and was waiting for me to throw my other 3 birds then he closed his app and i got thrown out of the game after that i got back to arena and get my reward.Once i beat someone and went for a new battle this time the person i beat came to me with 5 spells…i don’t know but i just felt that the system was searching for opponents sometimes for more than 20 secs now it finds one in 1 sec..maybe they were not live battles but i’m sure they were humans who played those levels.

Rip Piggies that’s strange…sometimes when i throw 1 bird and destroy the level during fast forwarding to the next level the opponent throws 3 birds after an other until i reach to the next level..that should mean opponent won the earlier stage by 3 birds instead of 1 then he gets the same cards at next level.

I usually get blue bird as reward if it’s stone based level.

I find levels 1-2 are often more challenging than 5-7. The higher levels require spells etc but 1 and 2 are a bit harder than usual.

The other thing is that thanks to various reasons, everyone seems to have pirate or knight sets. With no spells, the scoring difference between 7 birds at +3 vs +4 is considerable.

Hello, I just entered Diamond League, and saw that some of the players here have a golden frame around their avatar.
How can this gold frame be obtained ?
Is it bought or it can be obtained from game play ?

You have to purchase it. When I didn’t have it, it used to pop up as a special purchase on Red’s days. Since I already have it, it doesn’t show up in my available purchases menu, but it might in yours. I’d check there first. If not, look for it on days Red is the Daily Challenge. When you buy it, you also get extra feathers for Red and I think some pearls…it’s been awhile.

Apna, it is a small purchase, scepter, cape and crown. I think it costs $10 if I remember right. The small or common chests opens up every 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes, it comes with an extra life. I believe Hank said it is offered after every 15 levels on the trail. I bought it a long time ago, best investment in the game for me.

How do you destroy a pig when it is out of sight range. I can see it, barely, when the screen is maximized, but not when minimized so I can see the bird. Shoot and hope? Throw gems away on that crap?

I’ve had it happen too. Also had one where a pig ended up behind the slingshot. I wrote to Rovio And their reply was “we know it happens sometimes but you just have to restart the level. We hope you can still enjoy the game.”

Not much joy some days!!!

There is one player who has two bombs. I took a screenshot and sent it to Rovio. I got the the usual song and dance. I understand the replacement birds but the screenshot showed it was before the game started. How does that happen? I never got a real answer from Rovio they just explained the replacement process. Which I already knew.

@pomme I’ve had it happen a few times and it’s extremely frustrating. Of course if you have a Chilli, then it will take care of it as long as you make sure there are no other piggies for it to go after. If not, here are what I’ve found that works best from best to worst depending on what you have available : 1) throw Bomb as close to it as possible and hit explode..the shock usually gets it, 2) have Silver do his flip and hit the ground or structure as close to it as possible, especially with the improved Silver, it usually causes everything to bounce up and pig often bites the dust, 3) explode Matilda’s egg as close as possible. You might have already tried all of these, but they are about all I’ve found that works. Hope it helps!

Twice now when I’ve won the level to get TWO tickets in the arena, I’ve only gotten ONE. It could have happened more, but I didn’t notice. Has anyone else experienced this?

I didn’t pay attention to the ticket reward but the bug of challenge chests are still here..when you open the first reward chest and get some pearls usually you never get other pearls as a reward as animation of counting pearls never appears.

@desperados I’ve started writing down my total pearl amounts every time they change to check this. It’s true the animation of having the pearls added on the DC is gone, however, the last several times I’ve checked the pearls HAVE been added. Had a gift exchange friend who also thought they weren’t being added because of the animation, but when he wrote them down before starting the DC, his were added also despite the animation. I’d write them down and check.

I hope this isn’t an offensive question, but did you take into account, that you lose one ticket winning those two?
You have 100 tickets, you startthe game, ticket count is then 99, you play, you win 2 tickets, adding up to 101. If you only get one ticket, it would result in 100 tickets.

@jo-ha Lol. My roots ARE blonde. It shows me the ticket count AFTER I’ve played the game and then adds one. However, it might not have already deducted the ticket for playing that game. I’ll have to check it BEFORE I play the round next time. I guess this is what I get for being a smartass about the pearls. ?

Thx for clearing out pearl count michele lol actually it does add the correct amount although the animations do not show up sometimes…at daily challenge i opened a chest with 500 pearls and i got 30 pearls at the end it added 530 pearls correctly…at king pic i opened the 50 pearls chest and 50 plus 100 pearls it added 150 pearls correctly.

Katydid – the three birds you see your opponent starting with are the first three birds they actually used (i.e. NOT the three they would have had their first selection from). So it’s quite normal for your opponent to start with bomb, clear the desctructometer, which brings back another bomb, and then get to use that second one within their first three birds. So you might see “bomb, Terrence, bomb” but they might have started with “Terrence, bomb, blues”.

The other advice I have for Arena players: don’t buy the hat sets to upgrade your slingshot. I suspect most players do it as soon as they can, but reading the sob-stories on here I think it’s a disadvantage. Here’s a few reasons:
– when you upgrade your slingshot, you do NOT actually get an advantage, i.e. you just face similarly tougher opponents
– you can now win hats free from chests, so why waste BPs when you don’t need to
– if you use spells, they are that much less effective / point scoring cf your other birds if you have a high slingshot. That’s because they are based on your lowest CARD level, which might be 10-15 points below your bird levels. So if you are the same total flockpower as your opponent, but you have a higher slingshot, your spells are relatively weaker!
– the settings for selecting your opponents are a bit wobbly, i.e. at some given flockpower values you might face weaker opponents regularly and others you face stronger ones. If you’ve hoarded your BPs and get into the latter scenario THEN you can complete a hat set to see if your new flockpower helps.

It was the start of the fight. No birds had been used. It’s bad enough playing robots but if they are recycled games that the opponents start anywhere that is too much!

@katydid: @rippiggies understood your Problem, but like he said, you don’t see his actual frist three birds, you see the order in which he uses his birds. If his first bomb directly goes back to his “Hand”, he can use it immidiately afterwards (or at least after flinging another bird).

I agree on the thoughts about the hats and the arena matchmaking. Today i got matched with a Player, exact same Level but using 3 spells – thank you… had to use 4 spells and watched a video.
On the other hand: if we only get disadvantages by buying the hats, what are the pearls good for? I mean, what else can we do with it?
(…and yes, the question was rethorical…)

@jo-ha for clearing that up! As far as upgrading the slingshot, I’m at a loss at what to do and when your birds have reached a high enough level to upgrade again. I have enough pearls to buy a couple more sets, but ever since upgraded this last time I’m consistently paired with players with much higher flock power. I have all my birds at level 42 and was doing really well in the arena until the new hats came out and thought I should at least get the Easter set, which upgraded my slingshot to Elder Amethyst (x13). Does anyone have any guidelines for what level your birds should be at for which slingshot? I can barely get my feathers to try to level up my birds more and increase my flock power. I don’t know whether this is the most used slingshot and I should go up another or if I should just stay as is. I have to say in all the time I’ve been playing this is the most uneven I’ve seen the arena battles and it appears that everyone is complaining about it since the update. I read complaints from people that they are consistently paired against those way below them. Thoughts?

Actually you can buy all hats via back up and restore once you’ve 25000 pearls after reaching 25000 there’s no need for more pearls as they’re no items to buy that’s more expensive than 25000…i would only buy bonus points with real money if they give extraordinary epic rewards…like a unique new bird or a new spell.

Hello, is there any kind of special prize, other than the medal and gems for the winner
of the Diamond league ?
Being the top-tier league, you cannot advance to another league, so what would be the incentive to place in the top 3 ?
I just reached it and I’m curious if it is worth playing to win the Diamond League,
or just to remain here.
