All hail FujiToast! While he’s not the first to achieve 100% Total Destruction on this level, he is the ONLY one to capture it on video! If you have the time (possibly a lot of time) and inclination this video shows you a working method. Now, FujiToast will be the first to admit that he didn’t do this alone. Many die hard Angry Birds fans and ABN members who have achieved Total Destruction on SG 1-16 — and those trying — have been nice enough to share tips and strategies in our dedicated forum thread. FujiToast used cybrxs’ method, but elcapitan and Andreas189 (the first to achieve Total Destruction) were pivotal as well. A BIG thanks to those guys and everyone else who helped us finally capture this on video and share it with the world. FujiToast can now get some rest!

Hey guys, I think it’s fair to say that this was the hardest level of Angry Birds to date. At least, the hardest that was still actually possible. I think I should start with a warning; I played this level for close to 40 hours total. So don’t expect to just be able to watch the video and just “get it”. With that being said, I think I have a very good understanding of makes a consistant strategy. (I tried a LOT of them) The method brought to our attention in the forums by cybrxs’ was the ONLY one I found that wasn’t pretty much ALL luck. That method which is used in the video only took me about 4 hours, so if you’ve got plenty of time, patience and determination, follow the annotations in the video (the annotations may not show up on many mobile devices) and get your last feather!
Update: With the Ham’o’ween v2.0.0 release, the threshold for Total Destruction has been lowered significantly. Congratulations to all who got the feather before the change!
Slim : They should come out with a “I beat 1-16 before the update!”. They would sell a ton of them.
I wouldn’t get one :( After spending 30+ hours on the level, I put the whole thing aside once FujiToast got it. Once a video existed, my motivation was gone. It would still be cool though. I’d buy one for FujiToast.
LOL. I feel the same way. I check back here once in a while to see if there are any other methods, but my sixth 99% broke my spirit. Every once in a while, I’ll throw a few birds, but my heart isn’t in it.

I was sure I wouldn’t do this. Have played it anywhere from 1-4 hours a day for months. Finally got 100% today with 3 snow blocks left! I’m thrilled!
Hi there, tried 2 weeks now with max 93% best result – seen the video and tested to do as shown – quite difficult…. big brother disappears often before might eagle comes…. big brother doesnt crash through all blocks often …. really ridiculous such difficult way to 100%. I rather wait for next update and spent time for something else more productive ;) thanks though for the vid

Unbelievable! I just finally got the method to work and I have a score of 99%!!!
I am following the video posted by Bird Leader. Most of the time, BB disappears before ME flies in. What am I doing wrong?
That’s just the way it is. Some users say flinging the sardine can more horizontally helps with that.
I finally managed it, same method as in the video. Glad I discovered this site, I’ve been trying with a method I came up with independently that many have used here, throwing the can horizontally. In the end using both hands – one to throw the big bird, the other to tap the eagle icon – and then throwing the can so it’s spinning before it leaves the catapult made it easier to get the can to land in just the right place. How many lost hours of work production has SG 1-16’s feather round been responsible for? Thank you Fujitoast. It still took me about 5 hours and I was about ready to give up and wait for the bar to be lowered. It can be done. But I’m not going for twice.
OMG.. I still cannot get it.. I have spent so many Hrs on this one.. I could have done it all over again….99 about 50 times… this is not a game now.. its a Freaking full blown out MISSION!!! ARRGGGHHHH

The update finally came out and they did lower the threshold. I FINALLY got 100% after only a few minutes. Not sure if I’m happy or even more frustrated by this. :) I am definitely glad to finally put this level behind me though… on to Ham’o’ween!!!
Yeah, I quit trying a while ago after thousands of failed attempts, and as soon as the update was released this morning, I went back and got the feather. I will be happy to never play this level again. Ever.
I’m holding off getting the update specifically for this reason. Spent too many hours not to get it.

I’m sad that we will never have the chance for this challenging destruction score in Android… Not quite fair! :-(
Maybe we should ask from Rovio to leave the old threshold (and then fix it in their next release), when they finally land ME on Seasons. Don’t think it will happen however, Rovio doesn’t want more users complaining I guess.
And Slim, let’s also congratulate all those people who played Season’s Greedings Level 16 thousands of times and were still only able to get in the high 90’s with the Mighty Eagle. This does not reflect on their skill as a player, but rather karma/luck because they probably didn’t say thank you when someone held the door open for them. I know that’s why I was punished for not getting 100% (this is sarcasm in case it’s not reading that way). Glad it’s finally over and I have the feather. But a piece of me will always hate Rovio for this.
That’s too bad. I never got the feather either, but so be it. I stopped trying once Fuji got his video and was content to wait.
No joke…been playing this level for 5 weeks now…at least 5hrs a day. Been stuck at 99% using Andreas189’s method. I can predict percentage with 1% most times. Still no joy. I have all 3 stars and Eagle feathers on ALL Season’s and reg AB, and all completed on Rio on both iPad AND iPod, but can’t seem to get this 1% on this one level for feather on either…AAAAAARGH…I’m SOOOO depressed, lol
If you haven’t updated Season’s with the “Ham’O’Ween” levels, you should do so – it lowered the threshold for Total Destruction on 1-16

I used FujiToast’s method and cleared everything after only three minutes of trying. Not a single block left on screen. I don’t know if this would have meant 100% destruction before the update but at least it shows that it’s a good method that gives consistent results.
Only ended up in 92%. I’ll try to get it when I get to play angry birds seasons again. Seasons is not working!!!!!!

Took me 3 tries. You really do need to fire off the eagle as soon as you launch the big red guy. If you wait even a little bit to see if he’s going to land in the right spot, by the time the eagle comes in, Big Brother will have disappeared.
As the text above says, this level was fixed and is now much much easier.
On my iPad when I launch big bro then tap the eagle eye, the focus just stays at the structure. How did Fuji get it to automatically make it slide to the slingshot after activating the Eagle? Thanks for help!

Just a quick question @amslimfordy – If we record ourselves getting total destruction just like @Fujitoast‘s video with 1 or 2 blocks left, will you be able to earn the badge, or is it 100% impossible because it had to be prior to any update? Thanks!

The badge was available before the update that made it much easier to earn the TD.

Ya know, given all the hype about obtaining this feather, I was actually dreading making the attempt. Even with the lowered threshold, I was expecting a long, bitter slog, since the visual appeal of this section is merely a deceptive cover for hours of torture by design. With all that in mind, I saved this one till the very end. Ever so dutifully, I watched the video, (several times), hoping I’d at least come close to duplicating the technique.
Having thus armed and prepared myself, ever so bravely, I forayed into Featherland. What became apparent, almost immediately, was how badly I managed to screw it up. Then, the count up began, and I resigned myself to repitition. Then, the amazingly glorious occured. Much like young when Marty McFly, at the end of Back To The Future, frustratingly bangs his head against the steering wheel of the stalled Time Machine (pat. pend. – ELB), only to have it roar into mechanistic life at the most opportune of moments, my iPad emits the curious sound effect of the feather, and displays the light revolving around the now white feather whilst simultaneouslt displaying the sublime 100% number.
To quote Walter, one of ventriloquist Jeff Dunham’s many personae: “Wow! I can die happy now!!”
