Rovio, what are you thinking? This new sling scope really has me upset. That physical scope thing they added on top of the bird’s head is absolutely hideous. I realize they are just trying to make it more like the original, but it is very distracting. And the giant thing that appears whenever you tap any of the power ups that takes up the whole screen, there is no need for this. I realize I tapped the power up, I meant to do it. I can’t see what I’m doing! Your update is rubbish. It was much better the way it was, before 11/19/12. Thanks Rovio, thank you again.
Agree on that one bigtime…FB AngryBirds was fine just the way it was, i found the scope animation as well as the other little power up animations tedious

Hi @dollarbill2208 I agree with everything you said, but the one thing I love about the update is…I am not having to constantly click, click, click to make my game screen zoomed back out so I can see the entire board. Prior to this update, anytime I clicked on a power up, the game would zoom in and that always annoyed the heck out of me, especially if I was trying to hurry and click on a power up, after all of the pigs were gone, to get more points. I never made it in time and would lose that power up because I couldn’t click to zoom back out due to having to hold the sling shot back so the game wouldn’t end. I’m sure Rovio could keep the constant screen we are using but take away all of the large power up pic as well as that crazy scope. For me, I have found that the scope has changed the direction of the bird by a hair. Prior when I would use the scope, I would hit my target dead on, now I’m finding I’m always a hair or two off :(
For those of us who are legally blind and try really hard to achieve decent scores, this little extra visual enhancement is very helpful :)
I find this interesting, as I have no issues, except i need to practice more on some power-ups… I just don’t use them in general, (why waste) a good thing until someone beats your score…then I compete….all’s good.

There is a very annoying ad on here that plays every minute or so. It expands in your face, and it’s noisy. I don’t mind the subtle ads on the side, but do you suppose we could get rid of this particular one? It is quite intrusive. @BirdLeader

Hey guys a friend made 168 points in Stage 4 of the tournament II, would be possible with some point bug?
Stage 4 isn’t unlocked yet… did they pay for it to be unlocked or did you mean stage 3… I currently have 195880 on stage 3 without any power ups – basically the snowball throwing machine kept racking up the points so I didn’t shoot the second bird until the points stopped. Don’t know if its a glitch but it was just shooting at the wall and nothing else. Each time it went off it was 1500pts or more.
This was from last week.
Update: As of 20 December, 2012, the “Green Day” episode has been removed from Angry Birds: Friends. Entry on the “Green Day” leaderboard has been closed. Scores already entered are still viewable for the time being. We have not decided if we will keep this board indefinitely or not.

How do you designate power up scores verses non-power up scores?
The Facebook Leaderboard requires no distinction. Both Power up and non-Power Up scores are permitted on the two Facebook leaderboards.
I see an asterisk beside some scores- can’t find what those mean. I want to play the game fairly, but am legally blind and I miss some things :(
An asterisk next to a 3-star minimum score means that the minimum is estimated. The score (say 100,000*) is enough for 3 stars on that level, but it is possible that a lower score could also yield 3 stars.

Hi @birdleader or @amslimfordy, I just went to play facebook friends and it appears I’m no longer playing on my own! I’m now playing against Red Bird and Yellow Bird! Did Rovio send you any info about this?
No official information, but my guess is that Rovio added Yellow (1-star) and Red (2-star) competitors to avoid users playing one level and earning “1st Place” for the week’s tournament.
Then Rovio needs to lower the threshold of the two phantom players. There are folks out there that can’t quite reach their levels(wihtout a LOT of help).
I think setting a 1- and 2-star threshold is very fair. The goal of most players is to earn 3 stars on these levels, whether for competition or their own enjoyment. By setting 1- and 2-star competition, it isn’t a requirement to earn 3 stars on all levels to pass them overall, but you’ll need to do honest work.
I play against 7 PPL in one account, 3 in another and 10 in a third! I can honestly say that none of them sluff off when it comes to their scoring and trying to 3* the levels.
Oh well, Rovio is getting to the point of controlling how we play(or pay to play any way), they might as well give is phantom competition that is hardly fair to some.
If you are competing against people who are earning 3 stars on most levels, then the “phantom competition” should be inconsequential.
Pretty new to the game (and board) but playing among the average scores. Still I always achieve 3 stars, but last weeks tournament showed red bird passing me some time between 8pm and midnight Sunday. Is this what I can expect to happen in order to control the coins I earn?

Hi @amslimfordy, Could you please tell me if I missed a memo or something. I’ve been playing Facebook friends still, as in against red and yellow birds and beating them/getting 3 stars. When I finish all levels (and am listed as leader) I don’t return until the next tournament is posted. Now here’s where I didn’t get the memo – how come the results say I’m 3rd and not 1st as in how I left it?

Cant believe i forgot to put my scores on the leaderboard for last weeks tournament!! 730K down thhe pan :-( aint done my rank a lot of good, was in the top 20, now i’m in the top 70!! :-(

Yep! Starting next week each week should start showing as it’s own episode, with total scores, etc.
Yes, thank you very much! I think the old Facebook players should like this change as well, as seeing the total score for each week has many advantages: not only one can see how well he/she is doing on a current week, but one can also see their ranks for past weeks, and also this makes it easier to check if scores are entered correctly, since one can compare the total in the leaderboard to the total in the game body.
allright but I finished with 94 scores and the other with 100.. let us change scores of this week or delete scores changed before new leaderboard.. unfair :(
@birdleader Is there a way to merge this week’s scores on this leaderboard with the new board, then move the whole thing over to the new location? Otherwise I can see people missing a week either here or over there. That would leave the scores through last week here, and bring all of this week’s activity over to the new board keeping things fair on both sides.
I will put together an excel sheet that lists those who had scores on the original leaderboard but not on the new one as of now and email it to you. That way you can at least have a starting point if you want to try a merge.
@burbman @luisg Sorry about that headache. I guess it’s bound to happen during a transition. That spreadsheet would be a great point of reference.
I could also open up entry back up on this leaderboard until week 51 is complete. Do you think that would work?
Obviously, starting with 52 this leaderboard would be closed and you would have to use the other one.

@birdleader – I think you are going to be stuck either way here with some scores on each. I have copied all of the old scores to Excel to begin my weeding out of those who have also entered onto the new board. I would suggest doing as @amslimfordy said and deleting all scores for this week from the old board, and I will do my best to get you a list of scores from the old board that were not also posted to the new. It looks to be about 40 – 50 scores per level and will probably decrease as more people notice the change, so once this week is over, it might not be too much of a task to go fill in the blanks for those who missed it.
@BirdLeader I think deleting the ones in /Facebook may be better. Let /Tourney stay since its the first full week for the mobile version.

Guys, it’s very unfair that a lot of player were able to put this week scores into the old leaderboard (100 scores), while the rest (e.g. me) has just 94 scores. :(
