Here’s what you need to do (or watch the video below!):
1. Open level 13-12 of Ham ‘Em High
2. Shoot the first Yellow bird anywhere
3. Now shoot the White bird backwards and drop an egg on the back side of the hill
4. If you hit the right spot the Golden Egg will pop up!
5. Once you find the egg you will see the first image below, which opens the Secret Super Bowl Golden Egg level
6. If you can pass the level you’ll see the second image. Notice that the egg contains the text “Rio” This text has been removed since…
7. Head over to, http://www.rio-themovie.com/win/ to enter the sweepstakes. …the sweepstakes is over.

I got the PC update to 1.6.3 last night, and then to 1.6.3.1 tonight.
NEITHER of them will allow me to get the RIO egg on level 13-12 of Ham ‘em High.
Freaking thing is broken as far as I am concerned, and Rovio is not looking at a ficx for those of us that can’t get it. Really getting tired of hitting that damned ledge and all around it, and NOTHING! NADA! ZIP! ZILCH! It sucks.
I got it on v1.6.2 but I had the original demo .exe before that, so maybe it’s a new issue. Rovio has been informed and I assume they are looking into it. They just have a lot of things on their plate.
I also got it long time ago. In v1.6.2…so do i need to update game again? Didnt get any notification prompt.
If you have v1.6.3, it probably isn’t necessary.

Pitty I did not read this earlier :( I have completed everything except this one, and have been aiming and shooting for hours this weekend.
Has anyone running the PC version 1.6.3.1 gotten this egg? I carpet bombed the back slope of the hill without a hint of an egg. And I thought level 17-7 was evil! Having something that doesn’t work makes it so much more frustrating until you figure out it’s broken.
This seems to be bugged for some users. Some can get it, some can’t.
I’m one if those that can’t get this egg either. (using v 1.6.4 on Mac)
I was hoping that this issue would have been addressed by one of the updates that I’ve gotten. Still nothing on the back slope. :(
oh. Then 107k is highscore in leaderboard. Is it legit? It seem impossible

Score is irrelevant in obtaining an egg.
There are quite a few over 100k, so I think it’s legit. See the level leaderboard.

I really tried hard and many times, but i couldn’t get the superbowl egg yet. I’m playing Vers. 1.6.3.1 on PC. Till know i found 24 of 26 eggs. can’t find the last one. Any help please.

The Super Bowl Egg seems to be bugged in some way for PC. Some users have it; some users can’t get it. Nothing to do about that except wait.
As for the other egg, check out the complete Golden Egg guide. In the second paragraph is an image specifically for Mac/PC users with the full Golden Egg page. Compare yours to the picture to figure out which one you are missing.

I changed my windows from 7 to XP. I have the back up file but I don’t know where should I copy it in XP.

I also have the “Rio Football Flawed” bug and am unable to earn this golden egg. I hope they come up with a fix as this is the last thing I need in the Original series. I have 3 stars in everything else and completed all of the golden eggs. I’m on the PC version btw & have the latest update.

Playing PC vers 1.6.3.1 and got the golden egg on Ham Em High 13-12 by dropping egg on exactly on the notch on the back of the hill.
Roku users: Super Bowl Promotion Ended, so egg is unavailable

The egg is available despite the “promotion”. It’s just part of the game.
I dont think that stage is in the game for pc or mac, i have 1.6.3 and i dont have it, and even look at all the walk through i dont see same stage elsewhere not even in all the walkthroughs of ham em high . above video should be some where in the walkthroughs????????

There is no Rio ever written on it, thats just the label or decal just for the site.
that’s wat happened to me, finished the level twice with a higher score each time but no “Rio” on the egg

He means that Rio is not written on the egg, but I dont seem to have it nor does anyone else.
I guess he is referring to the “once you pas the level” picture shown above. It was actually there before the score result screen had a redesign.
in my iphone, there is indeed a RIO text on the football but when i changed phone to an Android, no Rio text on it when i finished all levels from scratch again … i dunno why
It was removed with an update. It is not a platform discrepancy.

Notice that as of version 2.0.0 for mobile devices, they have switched to the “Rio”-style scoreboards, and the football-shaped link to the Angry Birds Rio movie clip no longer appears after you have cleared the golden egg level.
Yes, and when paused, the level is labeled as GE-22 instead of a Golden Football. All and all, appropriate updates there.

The golden egg named Rio is the golden egg on 13-12, the Rio mark only appears after you complete the level.
The word “Rio” is written by us to identify the Egg. It does not appear in-game.

I have cleared the 13-2 and got the golden egg football. I scored 179830 on the super bowl egg but the words Rio does not come up on my golden football. Is there something else that I need to do.

Would some of the high score folks be so kind to submit their technique? I am stuck on 177150 and it appears there are 20,000 more points that could be gathered.

Passing the level and obtaining the Egg are different tasks. Please refer to the video.

To get the egg, you will need to go to 13-12. Then, shoot the white bird as seen in the video. Note that you do not have to pass 13-12. Then the Golden Egg will be unlocked(shape of a football). If you pass the level, then, if you have lower than v.2.0.0., a star will come up with a rio egg in front of it. It is not another level. If you are running v.2.0.0. or higher, the normal star completion screen will come up.
My strategy for GE-22 was to throw the 1st bird to the 1st or 2nd row of glass. This took out all of the pigs in the ‘R’ and opened a path to the metal. Hit the metal (Anywhere is fine, whether the base or the pig. Note hitting the base requires more luck to destroy the pig but delivers more points.) so that the pig in the ‘I’ dies. Use the 3rd bird to kill all of the pigs on the right. You should have about 169-173k by now. The extra bird add 10k to your score, making this method’s score range about 179-183k.
Note: It really doesn’t matter if you use 2 birds for the ‘R’ or not. You just won’t get the extra 10k. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ll get a lower score. I got 181300 using all 4 birds. It all depends on how much destruction you have.
Slim, please change the 1st comment to say “you should have 164k-173k by now. The extra bird adds 10k to your score, making your this method’s score range 174-183k.”
