To unlock Golden Egg #1 pause any level and press the “?” (help) button in the bottom left hand corner. The Golden Egg will be on the White Bird instruction screen. Note, you have to have unlocked the White Bird before the White Bird instruction screen will appear. Update: With the introduction of animated instruction screens in v2.1.0, the Golden Egg is now dropped by the White Bird.

Bug fixed! In the v2.0.2 update for Mac and PC, the Golden Egg has returned to the White Bird instruction screen.

Hrm, you are the second user to report this. I’ll give it a try after the holiday but will report the issue to Rovio.
Make it three. I bought AB for PC when I noticed it was on sale but couldn’t find the help screen egg. I thought maybe it’ll appear if I’ll complete the Poached eggs? No. Perhaps after I’ve got all the stars from Poached eggs? No. Maybe with similar tricks that the sun (tapping crazily around) or the chest (open/golden/egg/golden egg) needed? No.
We get it: It isn’t there. I will confirm that GE-1 is missing from PC. I am now trying to determine if it is missing from other platforms as well. I should know about iOS soon.
If anyone recently purchased the Mac app — or if you have the Birdday version and had not yet obtained GE-1 — please let us know.

Same as Pete, bought it during the sale, and nothing opens it – ive tried the crazy tapping, typing keywords, everything. Defo not there in any means i can work out!
It is still there on iOS, so it seems to only be PC and perhaps Mac. Like I said, I have reported it to Rovio.

yeah, didn’t notice it before because I transfered my progress from iPad, and GE #1 was there.
I had the same issue with my PC copy, however Rovio just released an update which I just installed and the egg is now there. Not sure about iOS though :)

Rovio is aware and will fix the issue soon. There is a larger issue right now with Mac, so I would imagine that’s their primary focus ATM, but it will indeed be fixed.
Why on the PC do we see only 9 golden eggs. Where are the rest of the 27?
All 27 are there for PC (except GE-1 is currently bugged in v2.0.0 for PC)

You have to obtain all of the golden eggs for them to show up. Follow the instructions here to get them

The Golden egg screen has nine shadows on it. 6 are lit up since I got those eggs. Where are the screens with the other 18 on it?
When you find them, they get added to the screen, so when you find the other 18, they will be added to the screen

Slim, any word yet of when Rovio will release a bug fix for PC Angry Birds Original v2.0.0 to fix this missing Golden Egg?
Android Toshiba tab: GE 1 has been got on the help (?-White bird) screen but GE page just shows shadow with “?” where GE 1 should be. No update from market available.

Keep playing. There are several types of bird, mostly recognized by color.
In this one, you can get a lot more points by somehow managing to make those red balls evade from their area and bounce around the level, killing more things in it. Avg score is 39k, mine is 42k, and record is 49k.
This happened to me:
The waterball went first to the right side and then suddently to the left side and kept on bouncing at the position where the triangle wooden piece layed first. Then(half an hour) those red bouncing balls made their way up top the left side, eliminating both the small round stones, and even the waterball. But over 49K seems hard….although some stone bricks with the “three b/b in the glass cage” were left in my best try.
How long do you have to wait before the beach ball or the red balls “start self destructing”? I have waited up to five minutes and it doesn’t work.

You have what same issue? There is no bug with GE-1 on iOS.
I believe Dave Page means that he can’t get golden egg #1, which had a previously reported bug. I’m also on the iPhone 4, running release 2.1.0 of Angry Birds, and the egg doesn’t appear when I get to the white bird help screen. The white bird deposits a gold color egg though. Maybe this bug got reintroduced? This is my last egg to get.
