I am at the same time both humbled and honored to share the podium with my esteemed fellow Nesters @Rat9 and @Windwalker and extend to them my Sincere Congratulations !!!

I must again thank @rubeeinthesky for nominating my “Happy Kitty” avatar into the 2014 Avatar Contest and those who placed votes for Kitty! And I must thank @Stocktoad for originally encouraging me to post an avatar after I first became an ABN member and spent my first month dragging that “standard blank look” around the Nest.

I’ve come across very few avatars here in the Nest that I haven’t particularly cared for, and I find so many delightfully whimsical and creative. That fact was made clearly evident when I placed my own votes for the Avatar Contest this year as it was very hard indeed to choose between the various nominations! So I tip my hat to all of my fellow Nesters on your very expressive and creative avatars ~ in my book each one of you are Winners !!!

I’ve been distracted this past week from AngryBirdsNest activities attending to some work deadlines. Pretty sure I’m not the first Nester nor probably the last, to be annoyed how work can tend to interfere with Angry Birds ~ LOL !!!

Thank You @jtwade for enlightening me ~ I get the connection now. But how can I take offense when I think any excuse for eating cheese is a good thing ~ my Kaukauna on crackers with a bit of salami on the side was absolutely scrumptious in the snack break I took since my last post!

And I’m not sure @wicket182 that “fairness” can even be considered a pertinent issue as the “Last Chance” feature is now part of the game. I suppose what would be ideal would be if there was a differentiation of scores using the feature from those who choose not to use “Last Chance”.

Has it been established that the highest scores for each level can only be achieved using “Last Chance” ~ or are there levels remaining where a good destructive 1-birder will still yield the highest score? Perhaps a guide listing which methodology yields the highest scores for each level would be informative? But I have to go eat some more cheese now…..

I’m afraid the cheese reference with respect to the discussion when right over Old Uncle B’s head ~ but it sure is a very nice picture!

It reminded me that I have a new tub of Kaukauna spreadable cheese in the refrigerator that would be mighty tasty on some crackers right about now and for that I must thank you very much @wicket182 !!!

Like you I enjoy the ability to use character swaps in Star Wars 2 as I believe that adds depth to the game in being able to experiment with the differing capabilities of the various characters. And I agree with you that adding the “Second Chance” feature was an unnecessary “enhancement” to the game that I wish Rovio had never done as it has now diminished the integrity and value of scores obtained without using it.

I for one have never used the “Second Chance” feature nor do I plan to do so in the future ~ a personal form of protest I suppose. So I commend you @waimea for starting this thread and hope there will be more comments posted by other ABN members to continue the discussion. Perhaps your initiative will start a movement of ABN members willing to pledge to not use the SW2 “Second Chance” feature and if they had, as you did to go back and delete any scores obtained using it and re-enter unadulterated scores for those levels.

The Carbonite Reward feature is new to us PC users having only recently been added in the last update so I’m not very familiar with it and have only received a couple to date. Is the awarded Carbonite Reward character always random or does there appear to be a cycle of characters that is repeated?

For all Angry Bird players on the ol’ PC
it’s a HAPPY DAY as I’m sure you’ll agree.
For a new Rovio update has thankfully appeared,
we have NOT been ABANDONED as doubters had feared.

So let’s have some Angry Bird fun as we go on to explore
Space Beak Impact with 40 new levels and a little bit more!

@da17528 , @amslimfordy , @sweetp ~ As I recently learned after accidentally wiping out all my AB-SW scores by cold-booting my PC with the game open, if you happen to have a back-up of your data files made prior to the date of the score you want to replace you could try restoring those *.lau data files. (I shall always be grateful to AMslimfordy for his help when that happened!) I was able to restore my “highsores.lua” and “settings.lua” data files for that game from a Carbonite back-up should you have something similar for your Android device.
