@rollyLast week I had a totally depressing time in silver league. I finished all objectives (first time I had none I could not finish, don’t have the gold birds), but was a solid 10th place. Place 2 and 3 had twice as many, place 1 three times as many points as me. Now in the middle of the week, I am still ALONE in my league. Is this a bug or fair payback?

@rollyand now the third :-(

@rollyI should not brag that much :-(. Right now I have two lost (and totally winable) battles because a crash kicked me out :-(

@rollyMy objectives did at first not reset yesterday (normaly they reset in the night, GMT+1 here). But suddenly in the afternoon, I HAD a new set, with only about 8 hours to complete them. Missed out on the 3k, it was kill all three birds in one strike two times. Even with powerful wizard (lev.35/8 with Phoenix set) I was not able to do that, everytime killing one bird or the other preliminary :-(. However, I also noticed that difficulty went WAY down for me. I normaly now recieve opponents in the 33/4-35/6 range with incomplete sets. This, combined with the new loot weel distribution, makes raking up points a lot easier…

@rollyI am sure I read about it somewbere. But can not find it. I sometimes can not start Arena battles. The Start button animation flicks, I hear the click sound but nothing happens. Everything else still works fine. This was only an anoyance some days ago, but now it happens more offen than not. Is there anything I can do?

@rollyI don’t know if I am really that lucky. But I always check if there is a free roll anywhere first thing after starting the game. And yes, I start it at least once a day to collect the Daily Golden Pig. I have now 17 stamp cards. Also, since Arena start I keep it low on level advancement and concentrate on spending snotlings on mastery. So lets wait and see :-).
<edit> Oh, and my equipment is NOT overpowered relative to the ones I am fighting (still stone since I have to run after the “reset the daily objective” guys and already failed two times :-)). I cannot count the fights when I had three complete sets fighting my three (and Phoenix set and Sling/Plushie set where prominent in these). Just for the record, I also have the Protector and the Golden set, but the shield of Protector is very low level and I don’t use Bomb very often.

@rolly@chaucer: Have you checked how your bird died? The bird will not get a tic in the round that it died. So if he died from some secondary effect like Sticky Goo when starting YOUR round, he will NOT get a tic. I use this to my advantage (because ist works the other way round too), relying heavily on Rouges and Druid in my Arena Battles and winning even against higher levels and when loosing the coin toss.

@rollyOk, perhaps I am doing something wrong. But I hardly ever loose an Arena Battle, even against higher levels and loosing the coin toss. The reason is that a) the AI is not very clever and b) a well rounded set of birds (now lv34 mastery 7). I use Chuck wizard with the Phoenix set, Blue Rogues with The Sling and Plushies and Mathilda Druid with the Nightmare set (and no, I NEVER bought gold and I don’t have Facebook, all comes from Daily Golden Pig and lucky tosses from Piggy McCool’s Golden Pig and my own free tosses). In this setup, the enemy allways attacks Chuck first. This is great since he is able to withstand the first wave because of Phoenix revive. My first attack goes against the enemys banner. Sticky Goo and Thorny Vine ensure it will loose ca. 3000 HP the next three rounds, together with the ca. 1000 in the first round. The next rounds I take out the birds doing the largest damage (i.E. Bomb, Blues), usually Chuck is down but Goo and Thorny do their magic again. Also remember: If you take down a bird via the Goo/Thorny effect, you will win a round! They don’t get a move but still have no round ticks on their bar and only get the first tick in the next round. When Goo/Thorny run out on the Banner, the Banner gets attacked next; rinse and repeat. With this I win nearly all battles, usually with at least two stars. Of course, you have to adapt for some Daily Objectives, but the basic message is: ATTACK THE BANNER!
Some things to remember: If the enemy Banner has the “saved by” effect and the corresponding bird is in the battle, this tactic can be dangerous because of a small bug. When the bird “saves”, it sometimes does not take any damage. You are lost then because your attacking bird will be unable to move in the next round. The only solution is to quit the battle, thus loosing it. The only option is to be shure that the “save” bird is allways knocked out before attacking the Banner. Also, if you see enemy Blues with the Ballista Set, KILL THEM and try to keep them from doing any action!!!! This set is able to do massive damage, esp. if the enemy Banner has some effects that enhance the chance of critical hits. I was shocked to get some >1500 hits in one go, not to mention the Goo afterwards and I barely survived this battle. -
