John is home again, but still recovering, and slowly getting caught up on his duties of running the group.

I’ve been in that group for at least 3.1/2 years :)

There’s only room for so many people, so it can take awhile, but your best bet to be accepted is to send both a FB Friend Request AND a message telling him who you are over here in The Nest.
Nest members in good standing get preferred treatment ;)

Since it’s something that only happened after an update to iOS 11, I wouldn’t have a clue; other that what has already been suggested.

@hapstrip, if you find a solution, please post it here so it can help any other iOS11 user that may run into the same problem.

I have been asked by John Thompson to post here, for anyone waiting to be accepted into the Pro Strategy group, that he is in hospital and it will be awhile before he gets back to adding anyone else.

@zombiekiller666 don’t forget to also send a message to John telling him who you are here in the nest.
Just a Friend request won’t get you in very quickly… he has 100’s of them without a message and those people just sit and wait for a long time  ;)

@elliesue, I have been in contact with John and he filled me in on what happened.
You created your game profile, but never played, so you were removed from the group.
6 months later you contacted him, but never sent him a Friend Request again.
He said he will send you a message, so check your gaming account for info from John.

Once you get back into the group, we can help you clean up your friends list and get rid of all the deadwood (people that don’t gift, and or cheaters).

@elliesue I don’t see your name in the group member’s list, nor as a friend of John Thompson…. so I’m not sure what group you joined…..
Did you send a Friend Request to John Thompson AND send him a message that you want to be added to the Pro Strategy Group?

As for why you are getting such a poor return on your gifts, well, if you aren’t in the right group, who knows who you added for friends… ;-(

@wrw01 it’s never too late to join the party ;-)
There is a LOT of info posted in the pinned post there, so don’t try to take it all in at once; just do small chunks at a time.
When you don’t understand something, go back and re-read it slowly… a 2nd or 3rd or 4th time. It’ll all makes sense.
Just remember that what is written covers many platforms, so some stuff just doesn’t apply to you.
If you only use a mobile device, ignore the stuff about using a PC, and vise versa.

The most important is to make lots of friends and gift *properly* every day.
And of course, Have FUN!  :)

@finn-finnsen some people get a lil grumpy when Rovio takes things away from us.
They keep giving less in gifts and putting the price of PU’s up.
They are getting too greedy! There’s always people saying they’ve had enough and leaving the game… :(

Once you are in the group, the most important thing is to read through the Pinned post ‘Info and Rules’ that links to many different posts such as the ‘add me’ thread, proper ways to send and collect gifts.
When you post in the ‘add me thread, I suggest you don’t just say ‘add me’.
If you want people to notice you tell them you are from the nest, and that you will send gifts EVERY day.
Many questions are all answered there, IF you take the time to read through all the Info post.
Then if you still have questions, don’t be afraid to ask… most in that group don’t bite too hard … LOL :D

Oh, and most importantly, don’t abandon The Nest! Too many people have already wandered away from here and this place is such a great resource, that we much continue to support them! :)

No, you don’t need 300 friends to get into the group.
That is just a suggestion of how many you want as a minimum to get good collections.
You get these friends from within the group! :)

Speaking of them, I was so busy with collecting last night that I forgot about posting my scores here for the last tournie (;

Of course you can still join @lexi-pro .
Doesn’t matter if you play on a mobile device or on a PC… we all play together.
But if you want to be serious and try to get top scores in the group, it will take you using all platforms; as some levels score best on mobile and others score better on a PC.

If you’re in it just for the fun of the game, and you want a bunch of good gifting friends so you can reduce what you spend weekly, then just continue to play on your PC.
There’s plenty of people that just do it for the fun… only a few that we call ‘Pros’ that play hours a day trying to get every last lil point out of the game.

So join the group, play as you want (as long as it doesn’t include any kind of ‘cheat’!), READ the Rules and Info post completely, and of course, add a bunch of friends :)

@catie you can play the game however you like…. first and foremost is to have FUN!
I wouldn’t say it’s common to spend that much in a tournament for MOST of the players there, just a few of the ‘Pros’ that spend hours a day perfecting their strats; going for every last point they can get.

@elliesue When you send a message to Abigail or John, just tell them who you are over here at the Nest ;)

@fjaril That might be a Facebook issue. I have heard many people saying the same thing about various people, even though most can see an ‘Add Friend’ button.

@welshwitch55 as you probably know by now, it was just another glitch in the game that Rovio has since fixed and the birds powers are back to ‘normal’ …
‘normal’ being they have much more power on a mobile platform than they do on a PC / Mac :\
