just something FYI, I won the first competition with 200 gems, came in 3rd in the 2nd competition and received 75 gems, this time around, I have been locked out of the competition totally. This is all without Nemesis Prime as I wasn’t going to pay for him. Currently, I can smash pumpkins and it totals them for me but does not show rankings or other players. When I click on the competition logo, it says connection error. Im ok with it, its time to get back to my real life anyways. I suspect Rovio doesn’t want to give me more gems.

What was interesting was in the 2nd round, the player that came in first had more than 5000 pumpkins, nearly triple what 2nd and 3rd place (in the low 1600’s) had? I don’t understand how they did that… waiting for nodes, and recharges means you cannot play continuously unless you are spending way more than 200 gems, which defeats the purpose of playing for them in the first place. Am playing in android.

@ chuckles – me too! it updated to 17.9.1 just now and the ads started playing pre-node, but FB link doesn’t seem to be active anymore. attempts to connect to FB don’t go anywhere. ads didnt crash yet but now, it freezes (again) at the map. had a couple good runs in before the glitches started up again.

Just to add some feedback: this update to 1.7 fixed all the bugs and glitches I had for the past month including crashing even at the tutorial level, failing to load etc. back up loaded nicely from fb cloud, progress, gems and rank intact. new option to fb login at the start so you don’t have to play through to load previous status. So far so good. app playing like it used to. No ads running but thats ok. running android 5.1.1.

my problem started 2 days ago, first energicons pics went funny, then the game wouldn’t launch, unistalled, reinstalled, played ok, finished a character upgrade, then it got stuck at the finished upgrade screen, uninstalled reinstalled, now, even the tutorial won’t run. have cleared cache, checked ram, rebooted tablet, still nothing. hoping rovio has a fix sigh.

now, it won’t even load, forget getting to the map. uninstalled and reinstalled, and…… even the tutorial will no longer load. am walking away for a while… sigh. had sent note to rovio, we’ll see what happens or if there is a fix on the way.

sadly, I wasn’t registered with either facebook or google+ so am back to the beginning, with much less enthusiasm. I had over 1 million coins, at level 305 and now back to level 15. is it better to back up with facebook or google plus? and how does the sync work with the cloud if this happens again? thx
