Response from rovio when I queried this

“The issue that you’re dealing with is linked to the predetermined value that controls the frequency of those free gems appearing. By accident, the frequency was drastically changed, which led to this gem drought. But don’t worry, the developers found the reason for the issue pretty quickly and they’ll get it fixed as soon as possible.”

But the gem drought continues….

I still don’t get many gems. Maybe 5-7 total for past week. I guess rovio considers it fixed enough.

Maybe I’ve complained too much about the gem farming coz I don’t get gems either by farming or in missions, easy, med or hard. If it wasn’t for friends thanking me I wouldn’t have gotten a gem at all. Makes it very hard to intercept or upgrade.

Two more upgrades, four missions and multiple game runs but no gems. Rovios supposed fix was obviously a one off to stop me complaining to them.

Zero treasure chests but two upgrades since yesterday and multiple missions/events. Rovio thinks this is fixed because they sent me an email asking if I’m satisfied with how my problem was ‘resolved’. No rovio – not satisfied because it hasn’t been resolved.

So after the five gems yesterday when I thought everything was fixed – ZERO gems today.

Day 12 and received 5 gems. I wonder if rovio now consider this fixed. Because they should have given those of us who were affected the equivalent number of gems for the days we went without. Yes, I’m drunk.

Day 11 another 24 hours of playing the game, and as expected ZERO gems. And now when friends thank me in always coins now and not gems. So instead of fixing gem farming Rovio removed the last opportunity for me to earn gems.

Rovio – awesome job on fixing this. Or is it as I suspected – another way to get us to keep forking over money for gems?

Day 8 no gems. Rovio says they’re working on it. Hmmmmm…

Day 6 no gems. Have sent details to Rovio – let’s see what happens.

This is obviously a deliberate development by Rovio to get people to buy gems.

No gems this morning either, so now four days and only farmed two gems.

Yep, two gems yesterday. So total two gems in 72 hours. What’s up Rovio?
