no more gem farming?

I usually get one gem chest a day, never more than 6 gems in a chest, but….

Finished some 7hr. missions. Hard mission: 30 gems, Easy mission: 20 gems. Medium mission: 4 gems. May feel flush enough if this continues to drop some gems to speed an update :)

I’ve been getting them regularly lately, including a 10 and an 11 in the same day.

Managed to find three crates at once! But only got a total of six gems between the three of them.

I have been getting a few chests each day for the last 3 days, so you are probably right @sumitarora15

Totally agree @sumitarora15, gem output the last few days has been welcome with the missions, had some chests show up in areas they hadn’t since stealth update, although still meager, but can live with it if missions stay gem healthy. With missions, chests and achievements I scored well over 100 gems today.

Now if Rovio would open up the clouded area and add the turbo energon characters (another thread on here about them) I’d be more than happy. They still have some coming soon features that are visible on the current map though, hope it’s not a disappointment like the missions was.

I still don’t get many gems. Maybe 5-7 total for past week. I guess rovio considers it fixed enough.

Guys…you dont get the chests with the gems in them anymore b/c you are getting free gems through doing missions. If you doubt me stop doing missions for a day or two and chests with gems will start popping up again.

At first I wondered where my chests with gems are too, but then I started noticing a definite pattern. I noticed that when I get gems through missions, then there won’t be any chests on the ground for a day or so, and conversely, when I do not get many/any gems through doing missions for a day or two, then the chests w/ gems will start appearing again.

So, in other words, one way or another the game ensures that you get a couple free gems a day. Whether said free gems come from missions, chests, or the new crafting system ( I am assuming, of course I haven’t gotten to test this assumption since crafting has only been around for a full day) doesn’t matter, if you don’t get them from one place then you will get them from another.

“The issue that you’re dealing with is linked to the predetermined value that controls the frequency of those free gems appearing. By accident, the frequency was drastically changed, which led to this gem drought. But don’t worry, the developers found the reason for the issue pretty quickly and they’ll get it fixed as soon as possible.”
