New Event – Soundwave

It’s time for a new event! The top prize is Breakdown.

This event uses one TF and an energonicon.

Special feature(s): extra damage TNT blocks

The bonus squad is Instruments of Destruction (5), consisting of Blaster (13), Soundwave (27) and Soundblaster (83).

These three TFs from Instruments of Destruction squad and Breakdown (14) and Blurr (54) from Specialists squad are in the exchange with accessories.

Rats, and here I was, hoping to spend the spark I saved up on Ultimate Megatron…

And I suppose I should aim for Breakdown, as opposed to completing my Instruments of Destruction set with Blaster…

Well, at least it’s an opportunity to upgrade Menasor to level 15.

I’m playing with Blaster too. He’s generally good, but, in the only Unicron encounter I’ve had so far, he couldn’t complete (mine is level 13 ATM). He did a good a job against Boss Pig though.

Strange you couldn’t defeat the unicron with blaster, I always easily kill him. My blaster is higher level, but I think when I had him around level 15 I was also able to kill the unicron.

I managed to defeat Unicron Pig with my level 10 Soundwave Pig, though I did need to make a second attempt.

Anyone know for Soundwave accessories if Cannon is worthwhile vs Beastbox? Doesn’t appear to be…

 

Beastbox starts at 20% Explosive Force, upgrades add 10% each. Cannon starts at 10% Explosive Force. Assume upgrades will be 20%. Doesn’t seem worth the gold crystals to end up w 50% Expl Force vs 40% you could have w Beastbox.

I’ve been meaning to ask: Does Explosive Force actually DO anything?

@tahtorak Yes Explosive Force does extra damage but it depends on target and probably also on TF.

My opinion is that one should first upgrade TF at least to level 15, then do some overpower and only then upgrade accessories. But all my TFs are at level 15 or higher and this might effect how upgrading accessories have effect.

@tahtorak Just realized some TFs have Explosive Force vs Explosive Rounds. Seems like Explosive Rounds (ex Thundercracker, Energon Starscream, Ultimate Optimus) destroys nearby blocks while Explosive Force (Soundwave) does this a little less but more so blows things away with more force.
IMO Exp Rounds is really effective. Just noticed the difference now.

Well, I somehow scrounged enough tokens get Breakdown Pig and I got Menasor Pig to level 15 whilst Soundwave Pig covered for him.

There were some hiccups, but not too shabby overall.
