I wonder if a port of Angry Birds Epic was planned for PC at one point, I was looking around in the APK and saw a few things referring to x86 based processors (the kind you’d find in most Windows PCs and most recent Macs) and even a file called System.Windows.Forms.dll-resources.dat under the directory assets\bin\Data\Managed\Resources\

This would make sense since in a trailer for ABE gameplay was shown off on a laptop.

There’s also textstrings for PSN, which relate to PS3/PS4, meaning the game was planned sometime for one/both of those platforms…

I found, that there was, in fact, a level editor in versions of Angry Birds Seasons up to 2.4.1. It’s not even loading levels. No lua errors, just blank dark blue screen.

You mean the editor’s files exist? Or you tried to experiment? My experience on loading it failed…

Editor files were in Seasons up to 2.4.1. I checked in Android, iOS and PC versions.

@clickgaster I wonder if there’s a way to get the editor working, given that it worked that probably means that some files were missing/deleted, maybe check an older version of the Orignal Angry Birds or Angry Rio to see if they have the editor too.

UPDATE: @dante-mele when looking through the scripts for Angry Birds Classic 4.0.0 on PC there was a folder called xboxlive, inside of it were 2 Lua scripts called achievements and leaderboards, these could possibly be leftovers from the Windows Phone port of AB or parts from a scrapped Xbox 360/One release, regardless, I wouldn’t be surprised if either is true since back in the day Rovio was trying to get AB on every corner of the gaming industry possible before shifting their focus to mobile gaming specifically.

That scenario of achievements and leaderboards is in every platform directory. Also SteamLeaderboards.lua exists in ABSW II. That XBL thing is probably from Trilogy.

XBL is used by Windows Phone versions, judging by gamelogic.lua code.

All Angry Birds Rio versions had level editors. There was no level editor included in all Classic versions, before 7.2.0.

Can’t turn QA cheats on in Angry Birds Space 2.1.0. Game lacks file QATools.lua.

PC or mobile? Yes, ABSpace had no files for developer cheats or beta build handling, the only thing I got is the Powerup Popup Dev Menu.

How do you turn on the level editor? Also, does anyone have the installer for Angry Birds Seasons 2.4.1 since the Wayback Machine only goes as far back as 3.3.0, I used to have that version of the game on disc, but I lost the disc to it, I do have version 2.X.X of Angry Birds Classic on disc, so maybe ABO has QAtools.lua as well…

Set showEditor to true in options.lua, other games use releaseBuild set to false (I think). Check TCRF on the game for more info…

I think it was releaseBuild set to false but not so sure… Or that might be in the mobile versions only. I primarily focus on the mobile versions of the games, preferably the ones over the XGS engine.
