Some people claim they are able to achieve 15K + points in one day without cheating. While I’m not calling them liars , at the same time, wonder how much they play to make this total in a day.

@p2win — I am in third place in a clean Gold league at level 41 with 26,815 points. Second is 27,940 and first is 28,440. I know I had to grind fairly hard to get where I’m at due to the proliferation of the vengeful emblem. It’s somewhat difficult to three star so points don’t come all that quickly. Can’t say for sure if the people on your board are cheating but you can draw your own conclusion.

@p2win – I can easily reach 8,000 points per day, whilst maintaining a fairly normal work/life schedule. This is potentially the fourth day of this week’s play, so that would make 32k fairly easily achievable. Add another 2K per day for someone with fewer real life commitments would put an expected total somewhere around 40k for a really dedicated honest player.

@partshade The players in 12th and 13th position on my leaderboard have <5,000 points. So they are probably not trying too hard. It is possible that you could be on a similar leaderboard when you join.

@partshade 12th and 13th have 6600/3610 on my leaderboard, indeed players who don’t play every day.
Think two options:
1) New player, late starter
2) Reshuffle of leaderboards, player 15 becomes player 13 on leaderboard of 12 to try to get them to play more, kind of, oh you still have a chance to stay in the same league.

Now i’m really curious what actually is going to happen when you join!!
And i’m keeping fingers crossed it will be a positive one for you. It will greatly influence my descission for next week.

@renitz @kerravon Just joined today. Only 8 players on my board. 1st has 24,000 2nd 3rd and 4th and 5th have 11,000. Rest have next to nothing except for me who has 5,600. I think I’m going to take a different approach next week.

@renitz, @partshade, @kerravon, I understand your hesitation not to start late. I don’t mind experimenting and will gladly start 50 hours late next week to see what happens. I will keep you all informed. Since I have 3 games I will attempt to start 50, 74, & 98 hours late to see what happens.

If you don’t want to wait I think that starting as late as you can on the first day will dramatically decrease your chances of cheaters on the board while still allowing you to achieve all your objectives.

@steven-Dunn-5648 well things were going so well. Board seemed fair. 72 hours to go and the cheaters have crawled out of the woodwork. Sigh! I think I will see this week out and then make no further effort. Rovio don’t choose to stop this and I have better things to do.

I too have run across a couple of cheats in my Platinum League as the time is winding down. Still a chance at third spot as long as no more pop up, right now I am in fourth by a couple thousand points. Don’t give up @bubbley, it can be done. If nothing else, just complete your dailies, stay out of spots 13-15, collect the best stuff possible from the free spins on the GAPM, and hope they fix things for the next go round.

Can someone explain to me how a person with just Red and banner value of 290 gets into the Gold league? I played them this morning.

@dallasreds, I believe rovio uses line-ups and tactics which have been used by players. This bird has been seen by several others, including myself. It’s really sad to knock this fellow out. My best guess is that someone (accidentally) used this line-up once and put it in the system that way.

@burbman thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. I have every intention of continuing just not spending time grinding. However at the moment they are playing smart and staying behind me. Lets see what happens.

@dallasreds, @bubbley, I think I’ll run a little experiment on this as well. Care to join? After achieving your daily points and don’t mind losing a few battles, rig up a bird with some light weapons and do single bird fights. It may help out the people who’ve been stuck behind cheaters…

@dallasreds, @larry, @bubbley, I typically do this as well. When I’m done playing I have purposely saved the weakest flag and weapons and will give myself the worst setup when I am done for the day. I figure if I can get my weak setup into the system then hopefully someone will have an easy time beating me. The arena is hard enough as it is and I don’t mind helping someone else complete their objectives. Besides, there is almost no chance that I’m helping someone in the same league as me anyway.

Well since Joining a day late and having to play catch up something weird has happened. It looks like everyone but me and one other person have almost stopped playing entirely. Two days ago the top 8 were within 4000 points of each other. Now I have 43000, second is 42000, and third is all the way back at 35000 dropping to 29000 at eighth place. Apparently player apathy is starting to build as the tourney wears on.

@larry @dallasreds @steven-Dunn-5648 I don’t mind doing that but we have to accept that a cheater could also draw the easy target. I have actually played against a player in my own league on a couple of occasions.

I love getting the solo red bird! I breathe a sigh of relief and know I’ll win the battle. I did accidentally end up with just my red in a battle last night, which was most annoying. If anybody gets my single bird in a battle enjoy your win!

@larry Today i got a reset 2 objectives completed, and one batle lose , game not working, I closed and after i reopen the game: all objectives reset 0 batle lose.

@kingchuck, sorry mate, but the experiment has failed since we could not get our predicted leagues… However, if you’re going to re-try our strategy to avoid cheaters, please keep us posted on how it goes.

The reset you experienced is a common bug. Sometimes when the game on your device or one of the servers with Rovio is experiencing some kind of problem, you end up with reset objectives. These kind of resets are completely random and can happen to anyone.

Hey everyone I think I found a completely legit way to avoid cheaters! I know you guys said that joining late will help but 1 day late is NOT enough. Last week I joined the arena about 4 days late. When I finally joined I got a board with 10 people and the event ended with only 12 players. These players were rather lazy and only completed about 3/4 of the objectives they could of before the event ended. This enabled me to finish 2nd and now when I join I’m going to be in Silver League but I’m going to wait about 4 days and repeat this process to hopefully get to Gold. There was only one active player on my board who had over 30,000 points. He is either a cheater or a hard worker. I know 30,000 is easily doable but he only could of done that by joining earlier. Which that would put him on a board with active players. I finished with about 27,000 while the person behind me only had 20,000.

@partshade It’s good to hear about your success. I wonder if the lack of cheaters has something to do with the leagues we are in. I haven’t come across them on my leaderboards in the wood, stone and silver leagues.

I started 26 h later last round and so missed out on the first round of objectives. The leader on my leaderboard obviously achieved all objectives. The next 5 or 6 players were trying for positions 2 and 3. Theses players either missed some objectives or were not attentive. I managed to sneak into 3rd place and so will go up to Gold league this week. But I still have not made up my mind as to when I will start the next round – either later tonight, so that I still get my first objective – or some time tomorrow and I’ll give up the first objective again.

This time I started 10 hours late. In a few minutes I had 9 players with only one completing an objective by the time I completed all 3, but after 25 minutes 8 players completed all 3. I’m in first place with over 6200, but I doubt that will last long since I don’t have essence to respin nor the time to continue to grind and several of these people seemed determined to catch me.
