Like @bubbley I received a second set of objectives this morning. Happened while I was in game playing in the arena. Entered a battle with complete objectives, after winning and spinning the wheel I exited to find a new set. The battle I was in did not count towards them even though it did meet some of the criteria.

I have seen this behavior exhibited by late joiners in the past and was inclined to think poorly of them. Now I am beginning to believe that in order to keep people entering one day late from being handicapped this is normal.

My board also looks clean but I’m sure my meteoric rise from 12th to 2nd in less than 12 hours will upset the rest of the players. Many will be tempted to reset intentionally to “deal with the cheater”.

I got a reset too. Twice now. Although I doubt this has anything at all to do with us joining late. I had a few instances where my game suddenly reported that the “latest progress” was available. Almost gave me a heart attack since I’ve seen such messages before when I lost a lot of progress. I also had some issues with logging on during the startup screen. Additionally I got the golden clouds fight a couple of times during these hickups and the lucky coins added up as well.

My conclusion is that there are server issues today. Let’s hope that it is caused by Rovio implementing stuff for the upcoming big update which will fix everything and give us all tons of great stuff like piles of lucky coins and more islands to explore… :D

So far I’m still only one in league. I do not sign out on ABN as I leave it signed in when I close/open the game. Whenever I get opponents that I know I can’t beat, I just close the game app and kill it via task manager (I use iPhone) then new opponents gets assigned when I start up the game 1 minute later. Sometimes I ended up doing this a few times until I meet a group that I can beat.

I jinxed myself… I got reset and now I’m in a league with 14 players…first place is 14K already and I’m at 6K. Looks like I’m stuck in stone again.

Second update: This morning (09:00 am Tuesday) around 8 hours later another player was added to the leaderboard, so now 12 players.

As far I can see, my leaderboard aren’t only players who started on Monday, or rovio is doing some reshuffle-ing on the leaderboards to fill up to 12 minimum players and player in first place (still 17245 points, if she started Monday she could only have done two daily objectives sets) has done 1 reset.

Still in 2nd place with 12440 points, two daily objective sets and some battle grinding, which I will continue after work, until the next automatic reset around 0:00. Want to create a bigger buffer to insure at least 3 rd place. First en third place haven’t played yet sine 00:45, now 15:00, still don’t know for sure if they have still Tuesday objectives available.

Oh also think the adding of other players happened when I restarted game / reconnected to server to do a battle with favourable oppents line -up

As far as I can tell, my start time was Sunday. I , however, waited till Monday night to start another league. I imagine in that time there were people from my time zone that had already completed two sets of 3 objectives. And then some.

Still , having 16,000+ after 2 sets of 3 objectives is an AWFUL lot of grinding. Sure it’s possible. But, is it really practical to play this much every day?

@renitz,@strategia55, people playing in mainland Europe would have 3 objective sets already which makes your boards pretty clean. Here the arena starts sunday evening, 2100. Midnight resets the objectives so by tuesday all legit players here will have 3 sets completed.

Also be aware that there were quite a few server glitches this morning which have caused resets for people who were playing during these glitches. This may cause some additional points on your boards.

@larry I know i’m on mainland Europe, that would mean that after starting 26 hours later you still can end up on leaderboard with people who did start on Sunday.
In my case 1 player, all the others on Monday like me.

@minigurlnikki, just make sure you achieve all the objectives. @dragonofheart73 got company out of nowhere only to find out that he now has to make up for lost time/objectives.

Has anyone noticed that the AI birds have seemed to change stratagy? I was so accustom to them coming after chuck, but they seem to mix it up a little more now. They tend to go after the banner or the blues etc. it’s nice to have chuck out of the gate regardless of coin toss.

Noticed it too. When I lost a toss, I was like “There goes Chuck” but surprised they went after my blues instead so I was like “Awesome, Chuck Rage!”

I ended up in a gold league with 13. No obvious cheaters. It appears in 6th place I am about 26 hours behind in points. I sure don’t how that could happen!!!!!! The vengeful red banner has been in 75 percent of all battles. It is very popular.

With regard to the AI, I also noticed that it does not necessarily attack top to bottom anymore. Perhaps it adopts to the playing style of the team it is representing? I know that when I win the toss, I have a specific order to my attack to maximize damage, and refill the chili faster, if I lose the toss, I use one of two approaches depending on which birds remain on my team.

My weakest Bird is always attacked first when the Computer Opponent wins the coin toss. It’s really useful to have a Bird that has lower health than Chuck; even if it’s by a few points.

I think Rovio is doing a lot of stuff with the arena. From what I hear of the server issues, all the resets people have been getting, and new a.i. fighting strategies, perhaps that means they are rolling out a bunch of new code. Hopefully this is a good thing.

Here is my current standings after our experiment.

lvl 41 Platinum: 14 players in league, no visible cheaters. Currently in 1st place with only 11k points, (2 days objectives).

lvl 12 Silver: went from only me to 7 players, no visible cheaters. Currently in 5th place.

lvl 36 Platinum: went from only me to 15 players with several cheaters and mostly lvl 41. Currently in 12th place.

At the 48 hour mark in the current week, my platinum league is made up of 13 players, half level 37, half level 41. Top score is a very reasonable 18,360, I am in third with 13,610 after starting at the 26 hour mark. Pretty sure the two ahead of me have played all three day’s objectives, but are both level 37 so probably not much luck playing beyond that. I will probably be in second by this time tomorrow, and if I have a comfortable lead over fourth will likely spend more time in AB Space as the week goes on.

I joined about 8 hours after the start time and was by myself for a brief time, then the board gradually started to fill up. I had one reset during the time that other people here have reported it. At first it put me all by myself so I played through the first objective, which was winning twice with red. Then my opponents all reappeared and I felt guilty even though the score just moved me from around 5th to 2nd. I played more rounds for the small rewards but deliberately didn’t try to meet the other objectives. So far nobody seems to be deliberately resetting objectives. It’s a tough call, though, when objectives get reset and you want to keep playing to get the 50 point rewards but you don’t want to leap ahead of everybody with an extra 5500 points.

@partshade My leaderboard has grown by 1 to 13 now. So I am sure there are still positions available on existing leaderboards for you to fill. Interesting to see if they set up a new leaderboard for extreme late comers.

@partshade @kerravon Yes just checked, also on my leaderboard now 13. If that player just started, whow, that sucks. So i’m not gonna try starting later ( > 26 hours ) next week lol, to risky.

But also still possibility, what I thought earlier, rovio reshuffle-ing leaderboards/ filling up not completely full (12 or less) leaderboards so that players in 10-11-12 place don’t stop playing till end of the week and hoping they spend LC’s not to end up in 13th place

@killerkea delayed his start until later on the first day. It would be interesting to hear how well he has done at avoiding cheaters.

Those in the USA have some leeway in starting at a later time on the first day, but those in Australia, like myself, get a lot more time. My normal start time for the week is 7 am, so I can delay my start time by more than 15 h and still get the first set of objectives. I just have to finish my final set for the week between 12 am and 7 am.

I have no obvious cheaters in my league, but I also will not advance because I got the Thunderbird objective which costs me 3000 points each time. Top scores are currently 28050, 26425 and 23605. I’d have about 23000 if I didn’t get that objective.

I’m not willing to grind for points anymore because I’ve finished 4th or 5th too many times when I thought there was only one cheater and on the 5th or 6th day 2 people reset their objectives once to knock me out of the race.

I got one cheater in my plat league and I got a nice 15k advantage over third place. Hoping to get to diamond this week!

New player added to my league this morning, and they are already in first place. I saw above that others have seen new players added as well. Makes me wonder if Rovio is closing out some leagues will very few players and reallocating them among the open spots in other leagues. I hope this new player is not a cheat, as I was liking the clean board.

i am wondering… it says 4 days left and I only missed one daily 3000 due to almost impossible task, so I should be around 23k, there are many in my league around 23k to 26k and …
