@raziel29aWell I believe that the whole pvp arena was also suppose to help rovio find all the cheaters in a much easier way, since players are constantly reporting cheaters, and just like every game that uses real money cheaters are bad for business.

@larryI’m just very disappointed that Rovio does not involve themselves in this forum or better, this thread. It could be very beneficial for them to reach out to people in here, if only to gather more information and shed light on some of the issues we’re all having or even to get some proper beta testing done by an involved community.
It would be a very good PR move if they would… So, Rovio, if you’re reading along, here’s your chance!

@steven-dunn-5648@larry, exactly! as it says down below, “built with the permission of Rovio Entertainment” seems to suggest that they should be involved on this site considering they feel it to be legit and this is the largest fan site for Rovio anywhere on the internet.
Why in the world would they not want to be on here? All it would take is the occasional PR posting to say what is already being said in emails. Like, “we appreciate all your input and are using it to improve our games.”
Also this is the central spot to complain about the game by it’s loyal fans so a lot could be done to appease those who are most likely to support them.
Strategia55
@strategia55Would people really be satisfied with “we appreciate all your input…”
senigami
@steven-dunn-5648@strategia55, probably not, but the point I was making was that even the minimal effort on their end would be better than what they are doing now. If anything they could post here what they are replying to people in the emails so we could get the info from them and not have to have other people post it for them.

@larryI’m a big fan of the Baldur’s Gate series and they have been re-developing those games to work on the new platforms like android. The way they did that was by involving the entire fan base through a very similar forum. The biggest difference it that they actually run the forum and communicate in two directions. The result is that they get a lot of support for all the bugs because everyone knows what they are doing to get them resolved. Seriously impressive.
Even the research in additions and what’s causing bugs is done together with their community. In turn, all the fans spend without remorse since they are all being heard and told what the devs are doing about it.
They call it “the road to …”. That works. Rovio, check it out.

@londojowo
I just sent an angry email to Rovio concerning cheaters. I know I’ve spend a lot of money and time to get where I am in Epic. I told them if they did remove/ban the cheaters and correct the code to prevent it from happening I would not be spending another penny with them.
Immortal… Larry
@larry@londojowo, you can also request a refund with your purchase code which you received when you spent the money. With me they immediately refunded without any discussion. You get to keep the bought LC’s as well. :)
LondoJowo
@londojowoI guess I keep plugging along and hope before the end of the week Sven will be gone and no one else is cheating. Here’s the reply I just got back from Rovio.
Squawk!
Your request (#XXXXXXX) has been received.
The Rovio Customer Support desk is dealing with a large ticket volume at present. Our team will aim to get back to you as soon as possible.

@larry@cosmo2503, My apologies, I was referring to the purchase receipt sent to you by email by the playstore you use. It does not matter whether it’s Google or Apple, you should have received an order confirmation for any purchases in the store.
If you spend money on the game and Rovio does something which makes the purchase useless, it’s reason to get a refund. An example, a while ago the mastery system was a lot different. You could buy the master level hats for LC. Let’s say you spent money to get these hats, only to find out that the mastery system has changed so you cannot buy the necessary hats anymore, this is enough reason to get a refund.
A more up to date example. Let’s say you spent money to get in-game items with the purpose to get an edge in the arena. Then you are confronted with all the cheaters. This means that the edge which you should have had is reduced to zero. Plenty of reason to get a refund since Rovio is responsible for dealing with these cheaters.
Here’s how to apply for your refund:
Start by writing a support request and informing them that you want your money back. Don’t be impolite, don’t get angry, just normal business.
Don’t muddle along with things like “maybe you can give me my money back”, “I would consider to asking for a refund” or “If you don’t do something then I want my money back”.
Instead, make sure that you state very clearly: “I hereby formally request that you refund my following purchases:” and then list your order dates, order numbers and money values.
Do not forget to explain in detail why you wish to get a refund. In example, “I spent money to gain in-game items which everyone seems to have, so that I can have a chance at competing in the arena. Now I am continuously confronted with impossible scores, undefeatable opponents with millions of health and continuous cheating. This has made my purchases worthless. Therefore I hereby formally request …”
Feel free to copy anything you like, although I would strongly recommend using your own wording. Just make sure to keep it formal so they cannot simply ignore you.

@renitz@steven-dunn-5648 I got that response after the latest update, so correct that there are NO!!! fixes yet. And I think it will be a long time before they do, already been 4 / 5 weeks now. What pisses me of the most is that if they found to eliminate 1 or 2 ways to cheat, why not implement them, instead of waiting to do everything in 1 update.
For now just have to be satisfied with there standard bla bla bla reply.
“thank you for bla bla bla We apologize for the inconvenience! bla bla bla working on fixing these issues as soon as possible bla bla bla”PS @londojowo I said similar things in my complaint, get ready to be seeing sven till the of the week because he will not be removed
cosmo2503
@cosmo2503Today I got reply to my two weeks stale request and I paste it here:
Lauri, Jan 28, 04:12:
Hello there, and sorry for the really late reply!
We are aware of the cheaters in the game and we hope to fix this issue in the upcoming update for the game.
We understand the disappointment of dropping from the league but this is actually working as designed at the moment. It is true that this is actually not mentioned in the game anywhere at the moment. We should probably add a text about this somewhere. However, leagues usually work so that some people are raised to a higher one while the last few are dropped to a lower one. Without relegation, the higher leagues would just keep getting new players while the lower ones would empty.
We thank you for your feedback and we will take this into consideration when working on new updates for the games!
Best regards,
Lauri
Rovio Support Team

@raziel29a@cosmo2503: Now that makes sense how I got dropped to a lower league. I must admit it was very stupid for me not to mention that I was on a buisness trip without beeing able to play for 5 days, so I gave up on the arena that week. I must convince my fiance to play on my account when I’m not around to not go back again. Thanks for the information.
cosmo2503
@cosmo2503@larry thanks for explanation, I just was confused when you mentioned code, but actually you were talking about purchase confirmation number. I spent a lot on game and didn’t get much but I never thought it was possible to complain about my dissatisfaction to Rovio and ask for refund. For example in early version of game there wasn’t of warrning player about scraping set items (asking if player is sure he/she wants to scrap set item). I accidently lost many of them scrapping them for crap and getting new ones was reak pain and I probably spent 4000-5000 LCs just to complete set items. Then they changed mastery system after I purchased all master classes in Dojo and paid for them with lucky coins, they changed that system and again I had to pay to upgrade them to class 10… Here, where I live people don’t understand their customer rights and never complain, I guess. We just start learning about them. On the other hand I can’t be mad at rovio as they did compensate for one of my failed purchases and also sent me bonus of lucky coins.
Immortal… Larry
@larry@admins, above you can find a post I created in here about getting refunds from Rovio. This message which I’m writing in was an earlier version which I posted, but never appeared. I rewrote the whole thing twice and the first two got lost. This post was one of the two disappeared ones… Just wanted to let you know something fishy was going on today.
Angry Green Pig
@p2winI really don’t know how, but I am interested to know how do they cheat. in the current league that I am playing on day 2 they got 40,000+ points, some others +20,000 , and the rest is around 11k to 20k which is fine I think, but there is no legal way you can make +20k on day 2
Silleck
@silleckI hit 28k on day 2 without cheating. It’s possible
Immortal… Larry
@larry@p2win, Read up on the first post of this thread. It contains the consolidated info on cheaters and some basics of what they’re doing. No instructions though since we don’t want any more.
Strategia55
@strategia55Maybe they should place a high, but reasonable, cap on points per day. Even if it’s 50K per day ; at least it’ll weed out the big cheaters. It’s a start.
Immortal… Larry
@larry@cosmo2503, a compensation once does not mean you cannot complain again. Sounds to me that every purchase you have done should have been fully refunded, AND compensated. For the 800 USD I would make a huge point of it to get refunds for each and every dime which was rendered useless by changes to the game!
Immortal… Larry
@larryIn addition to the earlier post about how to get a refund:
If Rovio does not want to refund your purchase, you can go through Google Play Store (or Apple). Follow this link:
https://support.google.com/googleplay/contact/play_request_refund_apps?rd=1
Select “purchase is defective or doesn’t work as advertised”. This will start the refund process by google play store.I’m sure there is an apple equivalent for this.
People, if you’re spending money on the game only to find your acquisition useless due to cheaters or changed rules in the game, claim your money.
