Cheater(s) in AB2 Arena?

I know that you believe the 15 star players with level 8 and 9 birds are cheaters. I believe these are players that deleted their app when the previous update came out and kept crashing. They probably freaked thinking they were the only ones having the problem.

An IOS update that was buggy updated the same day. If you were not linked to Game Center or Facebook and deleted and reloaded the app you would have lost all progress. The only way they could recover was to play and pay if they were at level 8 when all was lost.

Maybe I am being naive. But as I said in a previous post….you pay for the treasure chest feathers you can level up your birds without earning the stars to level up your star level.

I’m well aware of buying feathers to level up birds. I’m equally aware of how much money this would cost. So do you think the person leading my arena league by over 2,000 points is legit? It’s possible to buy arena titles but again who spends $100 to win 100gems. I’m sure it has been done though. The guy who leads my league scored 1,000 points from midnight to 9 AM. Again it’s possible but not likely. I’ve read comments on here about players scoring 1,000 points in an hour. That is not possible.

Also, buying premium chests does not guarantee ranking up your birds. In to 10 times recently I have purchased a premium chest, 8 times I received spells… so these people with their Level 9 bird flock already have done something other than spend gems to get their ranks so high.

30-star or less-star players with all birds at 8 or 9 plus carrying up to 5 spells (the worst I saw in the AB2 Arena topic was a level 5 opponent with 4 birds at 8 and 1 bird at 3, plus 3 spells) can’t be legit. Unless they’re actual millionaires willing to spend a few thousand dollars on the game (because with the randomness of the Premium chests, I doubt anyone could get all their birds to 8 just from purchasing the biggest gem pack). With today’s economic situation of 90% of all industry states’ households, I doubt any player with sense would spend a thousand dollars on a mobile game. Especially since they get nothing but a feeling of pride back. There’s so many other things you need money for.

People get hooked, Yoshi, and some go far into debt. I was reading some horror stories about Game of War or something like it, the only way to win and not get wiped out was to buy upgrades and some guy ended up $90,000 in debt over it.

Thankfully AB2 can be enjoyed without spending money even though some parts are tough without doing so. I spent some when the DC came out and added to the war chest I built up by hoarding gems for so long. I still loathe parting with them, but I have done it to beat the DC and today to win the 500 feathers.

It was to long so I am trying to cut and paste without typing over.

But once I was at an 8 across the board it seemed like a waste at level 80 to get 90 feathers every day and have no effect on that bird. Fortunately all the excess feathers were tracked and so I am over half way to diamond. In fact thanks to the winning streak I got my first bird to Diamond this morning after winning 7 in a row I got 500 feathers.

Just trying to explain from my experience.

I have yet to ever use a spell or pay for a spell in an arena match with the exception of when pops up after the power bar was full. I would rather it just gave me the last bird responsible for filling the bar like it normally does.

Anyone having a different experience can help build on to my assumptions.

I am just hoping that with the new update we are no longer playing against the cheaters and our only problem is those just paying to win.

I will repeat something I already mentioned about the video I saw with someone using Sb hacker app. I saw another one showing someone just type in 999,999,999 and suddenly they had that many jewels for free. Yes 1 short of a billion. It cost the rest of us 99.99 for 11200 if we can stomach the expense. I have paid that twice. I still have most of the second batch. I decided I would spend the money one more time and use them only in a pin h. If I run out then I wait 3 hours if I want to play.

Re: my post from 2 days ago. I continue to be moved around in my game from Tourney group to Tourney group. The new group I found myself with yesterday afternoon did not have any cheater / hackers and I moved to first place. This morning when I entered the Arena, though I was with most of the same players as yesterday, there was a new 1st place: Rich whose icon is a cartoon tiger and whose score is 2025! If Cheathater’s correct, then the new game on Saturday should prove to be different. We’ll see. In the meantime, the game keeps trying to match me with players ranked at 1 with 5 spell cards. There are more ways these cheaters enter the game than with a high score.

Sadly I disagree. I took all my birds from level 6-8 with 5500 jewels using the chest for the reasons I listed in a post earlier today.

I did regret it for reasons also listed earlier.

However I don’t know how much it would have taken at level 30 or under. If I had to guess it would be a couple hundred dollars 300.00 tops. The requirement to level up was at a much lower rate in the earlier levels.

I never got less than 100 feathers for the 60 or 80 jewels to open the pay treasure chest and many times it was 250. The random nature does cause each bird to ramp up unevenly. So you may get Matilda up to a new level 8 and barely have Terrence at the beginning of a 7.

Agree DJLarry and Yoshi. I used to spend money on this game. I bought these premium chests and about 50% of my purchases were spells. If I’m calling honest players cheaters then I genuinely apologize. But I don’t think I am wrong here. I just had an opponent. 7 star ranking. All level 8 and two level 9 birds. Also 5 spells. I would bet my farm that this guy or gal is a cheater. I played great. 5.8 million- no spells. Got beat by 1.3 million.

Yes Capt. People do spend absurd amounts of $$$$. I’ve sunk about $200 in this one starting 6 months ago. I get bored in the winter months and just wanted to play this sucker!!! It truly is fun!!

This is perfect. We are in the same tourney.

I just played between posts. This guy was in the 15th spot with zero points last night as I cannot forget the cartoonish Tony the Tiget avatar. I was in the 3rd place with just over 400 points and BOOM this cheater suddenly had over 2000 points and blew by the guys that were in first and second with around 1100-1200.

Now I am back to less convinced that the cheats are completely fixed.

Can you confirm that the player that was in 1st disappear for you?

Now it will be even more revealing if we have the same guy in multiple tourneys.

We are in total agreement. I hadn’t had a chance to cover my experience in that yet. I had hoped the cheaters wet all banished as the lead cheat was removed from the tourney I am in this week.

Just in the last hour I saw a 2026 point jump sometime while I was writing all this stuff.

Best case if you play perfect to a 10 each round and you fast forward through the entire game it would take 2-3 minutes. Maybe you could squeeze in 25 rounds in that our…again absolutely best and unlikely scenario…that would be 250 points in 1 full incredible hour. 2026 could be done in just about 9 hours if all they above could happen which a ma home could unlikely pull off. But less than an hour.

I am confident there are cheaters still roaming after seeing what Rich (with the cartoon tiger did today)

But depending how long ago they reached level 8 they could be level 9 relatively legit without buying too many feathers. I say that as I mentioned earlier today…after the update and new level added most if not all of my birds were in the 700-1000 range. After getting the 500 feathers from the 7 game win streak and feathers from the extra chests the new version offers Chuck is already at a 9.

The spells is a purchase unless the Sb hacker app that at least a few cheaters had still works. Then they have no limit to free jewels and all that comes with it.

I have already notified Iida at Rovio about Rich and so far they have been pretty quick to resolve these things as I provide the information. They have a way to access their player ID number much faster now.

I have a long story complaining to Rovio and @bankler, but have not seen desired results nor attitude.

I have been finding that since I can’t back out of arena games now, that even though I am playing players who are over 40 or higher to my 33 that they seem weaker even though they have more cards. I don’t understand how that works but it seems that way. Also, the new players have snazzy names and nice avatars that I haven’t seen before. In a way, these other players seem made up but I am not sure. It used to be a lot of players just had names like red12345 etc and just a regular avatar.

It is possible that there are only a dozen of these people out there ruining the game for the rest of us.

It is also possible if they have access to unlimited jewels that these same people could have several players and using several devices as they don’t have to dedicate that much time to playing.

Unfortunately when they play once with all leveled up birds or even various level birds and load up with spells these games are saved in the data engine or whatever they want to call it. You can tell this because you will likely face them more than once in the exact same room and will finish with the exact same score.

As a result you will likely lose every one of these matches unless you play perfect or pay to extend you round through use of jewels.

Another conspiracy theory that I believed possible but could be just paranoia coming on my next post.

Your comments reminded me of something I thought was happening that started about 4 weeks ago.

I would start out strong and play extra games to try and get a lead by scoring a 100 points by the end of the first day of the 7 day tourney. Usually I would come in 1st with no more than 500 points total.

Then as I said about 4 weeks ago…always on Wednesday someone would come out of no where and pass me by 200 points. It seemed like it t happened while I was sleeping. I would play my two free rounds before heading to work and notice I was no longer in the lead. I would play every 3 hours for my freebies…and then after work I would get busy and play for an hour to get a bit of a lead.

I would stop for a while to do the normal things people do…go back for my free rounds and again I was behind by 100 or so points.

I would really hunker down on the last day…was a ton of jewels and they would just stop playing and I would win by a landslide.

I thought this was peculiar. Next week almost identical Weds someone would blow by etc.

At the time I was sure it was a Rovio employee using company tools to drive revenue pegging me for someone competitive and by pushing I would spend more money.

I am not totally convinced ai was wrong…but last week I started to see what was happening and was shocked and upset. Lost my first tournament. Rest of the story shortly.

Last week I figured I had until Weds to lead and played Saturday until I had about 60 points and noticed no one else had more than 7 points.

As I finished my round before planning to shut down for the night I noticed I was in 2nd. I thought it strange as it had been 5 minutes tops and no one could score 54 points or more in just 5 minutes.

When I looked at the score this person named Neha was over 1000 points. This in 5 minutes and only an hour or so into the tournament!!!!

This started my quest to read up on any cheats tricks or hacks as this was impossible. So far the most shocking was SB Hacker app video. Check out the link below and prepare to be shocked!

So you know, Carl and Andrej are in my tournament.
They have not been scraped, but their scores are 25 and 28 respectively.

Today I was paired against a player with 201 star level in the Arena.
I that possible?
Did not play against him, lost my ticket and the streak.
Now that I think about it, it was a mistake. Should have played him to see what happens.

And by the way, your video shows Mexican advertisements.

If you are concerned about showing the cheats that may add to the cheaters…my purpose was to make certain Rovio sees all the things that have been done and can block them if not already. These were mostly older. so I would hope they have shut them down. They have at least as much to gain by stopping the loss as stopping the additional loss of legit players interest.

Does it appear t be the same Carl? Do you think they were forced to start over? Or do they normally wait until the last minute to jump 2000 points or whatever is needed?

The highest I have seen is a guy with a leather mask with a zipper mouth names George at 90. I have made it to 82.

The 201 is shocking. I agree you should have played just to see what would happen. Nothing more to lose in this case. I am sure that was your point.

The video was just one of the examples if you Google the subject. I didn’t look to see which county was involved with that one. But each video depicted the same thing.

I did search the app to see if it is still out there to exploit. I didn’t see it but doesn’t mean that someone with root and jailbreak phone doesn’t have other hacks available. Still trying to understand what is happening.

I just want to get back to a relatively level playing field to fully enjoy an otherwise fun game.

Once Rich scored his 2026 in one round for his only score to take a 1000 point lead it must has not been that satisfying. He finally played what appears was a legit round to go to 2031.second place is closing in with about 1350. 3rd gave up around 1100. I am just playing for feathers and keep familiar with what’s happening. I am over 600 which used to be a solid win for 7 days.

I was obsessed about 3 weeks ago and wasted a bunch of jewels to beat what I thought was a Ro in player goading me into spending jewels and I was foolish enough to do it. I won but did I ?

I will try to remain optimistic that the cheaters will all be spotted at the conclusion of the match this week. They say they will go review all winners and any final score that looks incredibly high will be removed before award ceremony.

I have to say that will be priceless if it happens.

KT…still waiting to hear back to confirm that we are truly in the same tourney or is the tiger Rich in multiple games somehow.

Don’t think it is a good idea to post videos and links because yes, I think that would make it spread even more. I should have said please, I am not trying to lecture or tell anybody what to do or not do. I already made that mistake here once.

Also there is a way to rack up the points and feathers without hacking the game or spending a lot of money. I accidently discovered it last night and now the arena is no fun for me. There is no challenge.
