I wouldn’t worry too much about that player, as usually they are the first ones to be black starred with 1 point. Just try to maintain 3rd or 4th if you can. It happened to me with 2 players in my tournament that just ended.. first started with 220, and got chopped when they reached 2400. I barely played this week and ended up with 6th place. Didn’t get demoted since the last 7 place holders were juniors (level 4-6 birds) in Diamond league.

I also wouldn’t worry about level 35 birds in your league, because they’re battling similar players to them, and are likely obtaining the same star counts as you are. All my birds are at level 35 and I’m thoroughly disappointed with its scoring. I’m facing weaker flocks that are outscoring me, and filling their meter 4x as fast as mine.

My excitement as well is starting to wane, not just the arena, but the game in general with facing the unusual players scoring 100+ million points, birds not performing at all (e.g blues bounce off ice structure when aiming high up), and the continuous repetition (always facing the same opponents in the exact same rooms, and the recycled main levels)

Had the most interesting experience last week; 12 of 16 players were all 50 star, all birds at 35 cheats. A bunch were 0’s or 1’s. Minimal competition. Then 3 hours before deadline some guy with a Cyrillic alphabet name pops ahead of me by 30 points. Out of nowhere. I was waiting and won out but it’s fairly disconcerning…

With the new update I cannot open the new levels. The first time I played the KPC it crashed on the 5th level and cost me one life but the second time I played I easily won. I’m sure that was just for today. I like the extension to 3 hrs on the KPC. One thing I’m very angry over is the fact that rovio does not confirm the in app purchase of the premium chests. Last night I was picking up my phone and suddenly I was charged 1600 gems for a bunch of spells that I neither needed or wanted. This is the 4th time that has happened to me in the last month. I will be submitting a ticket to rovio for the return of my gems. If they don’t return them I will go to apple’s App Store customer service for a refund of my money. It’s a little too early to rate the new update anymore than that right now. I hope they get the new levels fixed soon. I’m running the iPhone 6s Plus. I’d like to know if anyone else has this problem.

the new update blows. While the spell cards are fixed, the tower is another way to spend gems, and get thus 2 hats are available, 20 more mundane levels…the most expensive hat is 250000 each!!!!! To make matters worse players are already walking out with it!!

Hi Dave, Yup, Currently I’m on level 912, the levels may have slightly different structures, but the majority of them is recycling from Mount Evernest and The Hamalayas (the other 2 winter chapters) and DC/KPP so it’s nothing you haven’t seen before apart from the boss rooms being the only thing different in the “new” levels. Expect to see such rooms on future DC and KPP challenges.

Also tried the Tower, made it to room 24 after spending loads of gems, and won a winter hat (1000 pearls), 1098 matilda feathers, 792 gems, 1 blizzard, 30 black pearls (from jackpot since I won hats I already had) and 7 mighty eagles.

At least now with all my birds at level 37 (pristine bronze (-_-), elder azure sling shot and knight cap) and the level 23 spells, arena has become a lot easier

Did some experimenting, as I usually do with an update. Results so far with the backup and restore exploit, still works for new levels and the arena. Sort of works for the tower/elevator. Can keep spells and feathers won, but not gems or pearls won. Restoring resets those back to where I started, even after spending over 10,000 gems and winning half as much and lots of pearls. Restoring also does not reset the tower/elevator time.

It does work with the hats. I had just over 7,000 pearls, bought the hats, played a round in the arena and restored. Still have hats and upgraded slingshot and all the pearls I had before. Pearls or gems, or blind luck with the draw. Theoretically, I could win enough pearls to get a 25k hat, then get the rest of those hats, restore and get back to basics. Theoretically.

And it still doesn’t matter because my opponents have the same stuff. No real advantage. If Rovio won’t fix it, at least they made it irrelevant.

If you have the time, energy and data and play across two devices (at least with different OS), it is still possible to exploit the daily and king pig challenges….but honestly it takes roughly 30 mins to an hour to achieve a lousy 130 pearls. So whilst you could sit for days to get 25,000 pearls, the time, energy and data used is just not worth the hassle…

Oh and above I assume you mean 25,000 @jon3800 not 250,000 as that would make me uninstall the game instantly lol

I kicked the towers button. I made it all the way to level 30, only spent 320 gems. I won a fancy hat (25,000) pearls, a knight hat (1,000) pearls , 6597 gems, 4580 feathers for Matilda, 6 pig inflator s, 5 mighty eagles ,5 hot chili’s, 3 mighty ducks,3 blizzards and 50 black pearls.

Oh I do so love (hate!) this game.

4 level 1 games in the Arena today – my flock power is 101. 4 times my opponents have had flock power in excess of 130.

Needless to say I got absolutely hammered despite flinging quite well.

I ask myself “what’s the point”.

I agree everyone of my matches were 20-35 points higher then me. Made it nearly impossible to finish the 7 streak. I used a bunch of spells which I don’t like doing, but there is no way to play without them.

@katydid. There is a way to use spells in the arena, you just have to know. It has been mentioned in these forum pages many times in some elusive ways. I learnt the art here by reading between the lines. Before that I was just like u.

Same here and he’s also in my tournament league and doing poorly. He’s actually has a facebook page, and he came up rather instantly when I search for him. I thought it was an arse, but it’s actually a muscle if you look closely at the pic, that’s how he’s getting away with it

After reading a few pages of this thread, I feel fortunate to not be experiencing bugs or crayz opponents. Just finished a Diamond League in second with only 207 points. That’s still more than I prefer to play.

I rarely use spells bc I simply don’t have enough.

@jon3800 I thought I was going to be posting in support of you about ERPST, however I finally got to play him again today and it turns out that @djlarryt is correct in that it is a female’s butt, with a surrounding drawn image making it look like an arm muscle….it is rather creative if you ask me. With that being said, I personally wouldn’t report it as imo it is hardly offensive (unlike another famous butt type image starting with a G…. that i will not mention here).

Thats the thing, you should be able to see after 2nd day if the week’s league is an apathy league (2-3 active players), penitentiary league (bunch of 1’s), normal league (maybe 3-4 serious contenders) or a free for all.

If it don’t look good, then bank tickets and feathers, play the DC and hope for next week.
