So, in short, to all the whiners, knock it off. You had it good for a while… and now Rovio has evened up the matches.

Actually Rovio said it was a bug and have not evened up the matches. Especially when low level players have high level spells and high level players have low level spells…..that is a load of dribble. I suggest you actually read Hanks post ;)

Umm No! It might be what you said you wanted, ie an unfair gameplay where a lower level player who normally has no chance of winning now all of the sudden doubles your score….but unfair gameplay is not what I wanted at all, so please don’t put words in my mouth to benefit your post.

What a load of rubbish, if you saw how 90% of my matches currently pan out you’d see there’s nothing fair about it at all. I enjoy a challenge but the arena for ME at the moment has swung completely the other way. I’m guessing that as things stand, if I wanted to complete a streak of seven I’d have to use between 25-30 spells and spend around 750-1000 gems, and even then I might not make it. But like I said, your experience is probably different so speak for yourself not for the rest of us.

Your are 100% correct. Last week tournament have a player who was #1, with over 1500 stars, on the leader board before being demoted to 1 star after Halloween update. That player have all the flock level max out and instant having knight hats which that player gain elder gold slingshot that very instant.

Since the update I’m either facing lower-level opponents that get impossible scores with 1 or 2 birds, or ones at least 20 flock-strength above.
Either way, it’s nearly impossible to get past 1 or 2 wins.

The fun is totally gone now. I feel like it’s time to make complaints to Apple. Rovio should either make it fair, or have their app license pulled.

I must be in some remedial league. I’m leading so far and have (lolz) 660 points. The number two guy has like 550 and I’m sure he’s short or out of tickets because he plays every 3 hours, gets his 9 points x 2, and that’s it. I have yet to encounter anyone with level 1 spells. Mine still @ 20…

A lot of people bring up lower level opponents that score magical scores without spells… I’m seeing 7 birds only easily into the 10M-12M, with birds 2-3 power under me. Used to be a million point bird was something, now I’m seeing 2M+ birds… Makes me wonder.

Here’s my quirks with the arena with this update:

– I hate the fact that I’m having to spend more gems in the arena than what I did a couple of months ago. I’m in awe that opponents with flock levels well below mine (I’m at 224 all master emerald, pirate hats and elder silver sling) are beating me. I’m averaging 5-8 stars. No longer the 9-10 that I used to be getting. The opponents in my tournaments seemed to be unphased by the update since the first place has gotten 300 stars in less than 2 hours. I’m aware that servers update in bulk but still it sucks. All I’ve been doing is grinding like I do in Pokemon. not the most fun part of the game

– My spells plummeted to level 1. I have to bring them to be safe to every single streak. However, as most have pointed out, I use them differently (say for getting hard to reach pigs without wasting a bird). Sometimes even all the spells are not enough.

– Some of the birds seemed to have inconsistent days where I’m getting feathers for the same bird twice in a row. Feathers for Matilda and Red are a rarity. Terence for me has been the most frequent as I banked 14,000 feathers. Why can’t they follow the DC pattern?

– Opponents do not really play the same level and rooms you’re in. They record their best run and which makes it to set score. I’m always battling the same opponents, (Kun, Vitor, Sunil, Phil, as well as those cutesy nicknames) and this is what I’ve been noticing. Kun always averages 10,800 and Phil averages around 9.92 million regardless of what themed level you’re in.

Woo-hoo! Just completed my 1st 7 streak of the week and didn’t have to spend a single gem, I’m back baby!

I’m adrift in 11th place in my diamond league , but hey, I can’t have my cake and blah blah blah.

Some really strange things are happening… I’m flock strength 175, and are matched against 175-180 in streak 1, 2, maybe 3, then downhill from that point on, to the point where streak 7 is like 150-155 with a couple spells. Without 5 spells it’s still an easy win, as they score some pretty frighteningly low scores (6-7 mill). Should I count my blessings? Since the Halloween update I could ask my cat to play and he’d do about as well.

Not sure what’s going on this week, but in my current Arena, Diamond League, out of 15 potential players only 4 have scored anything. Considering the tournament closes tomorrow, I find this kind of weird.

Player #5 has 1 star so obviously they got caught doing something.

Players #6 – #15 all have 0 stars so they are not even bothering to play.

I’ve played very minimally all week (chosen to spend my time elsewhere) so it looks like my chances of getting a prize for my meager amount of stars and placement are high for a change.

I would like to say the last update screwed up the arena matches so badly I quit. I used to play daily. Often every 3 or 4 hours, but the update made my matches impossible. I was matched against players with flock power 20 to 30 points above mine and spells became useless. So please don’t come in and say we got what we asked for because I sure didn’t ask to have what was my favorite game ruined!

Had to laugh. As you know I gave up on this game a while ago and now only pay occasional visits to see what schemes Rovio are up to.

Played a level one Arena game which was close. I had one bird left and my opponent was all out.

I was 150,000 points behind which you can get without even trying as long as you hit something. I had a good bird and a direct hit. Structures collapsing. My points total got to about 20,000 points of a win and then despite structures still collapsing etc my points counter literally stopped and I lost by 20,000 points.

Lord I just don’t know how you guys put up with it. Rovio still killing it for me.

Well, Mr smartass. The most posts around are about Rovio CHEATING people around.
I have several times made posts about a solution for it. And being accused for cheating lately. Im going to be more specific this time, as the whiners around dont seems to be able to put things together. The solution is to download a cracked game with a mil gems. Uninstall the original game, install the game from within the Vshare. Install the original game from the appstore. Tadaaaa!!! But you guys out there with a normal funktional brain has to read and understand during the process.
Dont know about u whiners out there though. Yep, the guys that accuse Rovio for steeling and me for cheating.
I know companys has to make some business out of this. But they will get their share from all other people outside this forum. And they are thousands more than this forum. Even though u whiners think u are the middle of universe.
But for all of those whiners around here, keep going and cry shouting for mummy. Accusing Rovio for being unfair and keep their butts being kicked…. Stupid asses..

This week number1 Birdy scored 300 stars in 24h !!
Did this guy play the whole day long +spending gems? It got much harder to win and s.o. won so much in a short time. Strange

Btw, number2 won 144 stars in the same time. It’s hard enough to reach that after the halloween update.

Brilliant how Rovio manages to give extra birds.
Two times in a row an extra glassbird with a complet stone scenery.
Coincidence well i think not.
But this illustrates very well the money pit they lurk you in.
