About the Angry Birds 2 Arena

I am back to Diamond league this week. Star differences are not as ridiculous as we have seen with #1 having 376 stars only, others are not too far behind. Problem is none of the matches 3rd streak onward are easy and I am low on spells. Playing every 3 hrs left me at bottom 3. Given last 2 weeks at Amethyst league were way more exciting, I think I will just go back down and stay down by staying no higher than #4.

I may even go lower by playing less just for the streak rewards.

I’m happy to see you all understand what I was trying to say before when all I got was a lecture on how the arena fights should work! I understand how it’s designed work I’m not a novice but it isn’t working the way it should. Someone several levels above me is going to mop up even if I do better on each shot because his birds are higher level then mine so they score more!

Hahahahaha! This game is so FUBAR. During an Arena match just now I threw Terrance at a structure with a trampoline behind it. He hit the building, barely breaking anything then rolled off the trampoline and dropped dead. So I looked at it for about 15 seconds and loaded up my next bird. All of a sudden Terrence went flying off like a shot (he had rolled away and was clear of the trampoline by this point) and went barreling through the remaining building. I wish I had this on video, it was hilarious.

Verifying the fact that Rovio has been tinkering with the physics trying to screw with the gameplay some more. They are pathetic.

I shouldn’t have to spend gems in the arena if I’m fully powered up and bring 5 spells. Also the spell clowns are seeing a return. Just faced one on the first streak with all Lvl 17 birds. Had to pay the 60 gems JUST to match his score. Unacceptable. I should bring this up to support

I shouldn’t have to spend gems in the arena if I have lvl 17 birds and bring 5 spells and have the highest hat multipliers. Just right now, the spell clowns specials that we know and love are seeing a return. Just faced one on the first streak with all Lvl 17 birds. Had to pay the 60 gems JUST to match his score. Unacceptable. I should bring this up to support

I had posted about this kind of cheating a couple weeks back and again I am in a league with a lvl 62 (all lvl 17s plus diamond sling) that has in the past few minutes (not more than half an hour) gone from 0 points to the top of the league (at 1066 pts). The score was just enough to go past the leader at this point.

Best part: no gain in star rank.

There is clearly a cheat that allows someone to put in whatever star score they want in the league with no effort. Whats the point of such an arena?

Question guys – I am on bird level 73 and all my birds are on levels 10 and 11.

I have just played 2 arena level 1 games where my opposition had overall bird level about 40 and individual bird levels 7 and 8.

I was absolutely hammered and lost by over a million in both games.

How is that even possible?

Now, my question is – I have never bought (I refuse to pay money) or got a hat with any stupid pears. I note that some of those opponents had stupid hats on them. Question 1 – how do you get hats? Question 2 – what hats do you actually buy (I have seen different ones)? And what difference does it make to your points (as clearly if you have a hat you are guaranteed to win a game). I assume that everyone here losing games as described above have no hats either?

As I say, Rovio must be short of money at the moment.

After some weeks of fairness in the arena it’s getting much harder to win now!
That stupid spell card clowns are back and we are no more facing opponents of the same level.
One guy had rather low ranked birds and no spells, but beat me in the arena with over 13million points. This really sucked.
Are the chaters back?

The hats multiply your scores and upgrade your sling, that’s if you buy the complete set of 7. Each set you buy increases your score multiplier and sling level. Buuut, if you haven’t got any you shouldn’t be facing opponents with them, at least that was the case until recently. But as you’ve noticed, Rovio are getting desperate and are creating numerous mismatches to get people to spend spend spend. Im quite well advanced now but I haven’t spent a single penny , and I won’t either. I feel sorry for people who have spent because Rovio are trying every crooked trick in the book. If this was a console game they’d be hung, drawn and quartered.

Anyone else having their birds put up against birds from other players in the arena that are twice as strong? For example level 6 birds up against 12’s. I am and it is BS

The same is happening to me and it is getting very tiresome. I have not been able to get past level 2 because of the unfair matchups and this includes using spells and gems. The leader in my group is at level 107 with all the pirate hats. Needless to say I am nearing the bottom of the pile

So much for Rovio’so even matching. I’ve been getting opponents with lower bird ranks but with all the hats and upgraded slingshots. I haven’t gotten any hats so even though my flock is maxed out at 18, the opponents can win big. Also, my last opponent had a star rank of 7, maxed out flock, full array of hats, upgraded slingshot and spells. The arena was, for the most part, okay like it was but this trend, which started a few weeks ago, gradually increasing,has ruined it for a lot of players. I haven’t gotten into hats because I think that they look stupid. How many hats can be worn at one time? I’ll avoid the hats as long as I’m winning. When it becomes impossible to win without this silly accoutrement, I’ll have to decide if I want to continue playing.

Kelshe I have decided it’s not worth it any more to play the arena. I have been doing the Daily challenge and King pig challenge. I’ve played a few board levels and that’s about it.

Why play the arena? It isn’t any fun anymore in fact I am about to point of deleting the game. I’m sure Rovio Doesn’t care but they have ruined what was my favorite game.

Today the KPC challenge froze up with three rooms left. I had to reboot to even get out of the challenge which of-course cost me the gems I had already spent to buy one crummy bird to pop one of the micro-pigs that was under a platform just out of reach.

Jon S sorry I took my frustration out on you. It really was Rovio that deserved a dressing down. You just happened to be in way for me to unload on and Rovio isn’t.

They may look stupid, but the hats and completing the set as you know give score multipliers and every little bit helps, especially on DC and KPC and on the real ageing main levels. You will eventually get matched by one of the super players with level 14-15 birds that can rack up points faster than your level 18 birds can do. I’ve battled against those. First time in a month I had to spend 60 gems and watch a video on top of my full set of level 18 birds, 5 spells with pirate/cowboy hats. That sucks.

I want to know if that super players

– play the same levels
– also face the same surviving pigs in buckets or stone constructions
– Do their birds also not react?
– Is their Terrence also often useless?
– Are their snow levels ‘slow levels’, too?

The arena was a lot better yesterday, haven’t tried today yet but I’ll let you know how it goes. Rovio might be doing the good day / bad day routine. The good day to suck you in and give you hope then the bad day to get you to use precious gems and spells.

It was better for me anyway, especially compared to the previous day when it was tough to get past the 1st streak. Your birds are lower ranked than mine and I’ve bought several sets of hats so it’s harder for them to create mismatches against me, poor Rovio….

I find it really suspect how all these so called Arena Glitches happen only when you are kicking ass. Not fair and complete BS. Way yo to set a good example of fairplay.

Not sure where to post this because it covers several game play issues, one of which affects my arena streaks. For the 4th time in less than two weeks, the DC respawned a few hours after playing it. The result was my winning streaks in the arena were wiped out, three times after a 6 streak, one time after a 2 streak. Another issue is that spells, mostly eagles,are being subtracted from my saved inventory when I am neither selecting them for use nor using them even when I get them as a bird back. I reported this to Rovio, they said sorry, it will be fixed in the next update, here’s some gems. It wasn’t fixed. The last issue is really frustrating. While watching the screen on my tablet, just watching not touching, the 1600 premium chest opened and took 1600 gems and gave me spells that I neither wanted nor needed. I reported this to Rovio and they couldn’t refund accidental purchases. It happened again a couple of hours ago as I sat with the tablet in my lap waiting with my arms crossed waiting for the free chest to count down. The premium chest opened and 1600 more gems were gone. This definitely WAS NOT AN ACCIDENTAL PURCHASE! MY HANDS WERE NOWHERE NEAR THE SCREEN!!! I just turned in another support request to Rovio. What do you think they’ll do? What would YOU do?

My mighty Eagle spells have always ‘magically’ disappeared on me, so as soon as I get towards the end of a streak I use them before they vanish. Never experienced the other issues, they sound very annoying. Rovio have gone to the dogs….and that’s an insult to dogs.
