I actually tried the King Pig Challenge.. I love how they tote “even greater rewards” when you’re doing double the amount of work for 20 more pearls than the DC. What a joke

@jon3800 and then you have to do it within the time limit. Perfect way to rapidly blow through spells and gems to end up with hopes at a few more black pearls. Rovio must think we’re stupid or so addicted to this game we can’t rationalize anymore.

At the beginning the King Pig said “Either step up or get out” (or something along those lines). Next time I’ll take his advice and walk away

Hi Rovio-Team,

I’m from Germany, a 50+aged player and playing constantly a lot of your games. It is still my decision, if i want to make in-app-purchases and i do it from time to time.

But there is something really wrong ongoing with angry birds 2 at the moment. You do know, that there are a lot of cheaters in this game actually, which blame all normal acting gamers. Visiting the site “angrybirdsnest” i read, that you identified the problem and tried to act against this behavior.
Let me give you some of my thoughts: if a gamer spents some money, it’s via itunes. So not only you gets some bucks, also apple is participating. If a gamer decides to cheat or uses a hack, he is blaming not only all other honest players, he is also blaming you AND apple. But, if because of this blamers, more and more honest players stop spending money or quit the game?
For me and many others it is simple to quit the game or delete the app, but for you the consequences will be much harder, i think.
And what, if some of the honest players will inform several blogs, which will publish this to the gamers AND possible future players?

I think, you not only have to think about this problem, you have to find solutions. And i mean really working solutions!
Btw, i really appreciate playing your games, but at the moment it sucks, especially angry birds 2.

I haven’t allowed the update yet, judging by the comments on here I’m going to hold off as long as possible. The arena has gotten harder even without the update, almost every stage of the streak is a scrap.

I feel for you guys. Looks like they’re back to the old algorithm. They were only facing me against players that were equal to me in every way, but now I’m competing against lower level opponents in every way.

Same here. I’ll delay downloading the update as long as possible. I’m doing well enough with the DC and the arena, where I’ve won every 7 streak since the last update. Rovio will eventually force us to accept the update like they did in the past. Until then…

I have now lost 6 Arena first rounds in a row. The bird level and star rank of the opponents is so far ahead of me that even without them bringing in a full load of specials (but they all do), I wouldn’t stand a chance. Interestingly, I cannot see their specials until we are in the first room where the card count makes it obvious.

The free bird video (before my eventual demise) randomly takes 60 of my gems.

I have not seen the King Pig challenge. Is that at the end of the DC? I seldom get to play past Level 2 because I work all day (imagine that, lol) and don’t have the time to devote.

Can’t believe they actually succeeded in making this game even worse than it was. That took some doing!!

Sounds like we’re both doing OK. I tend to do the DC’s every time and only occasionally have to use 60 gems. Can’t remember the last time I lost in the arena, I use 2 or 3 spells for the last 3 stages of the streak and every now and then I have to use 60 gems. Had a tough day yesterday but not so bad today.

Got a lot of gems and pearls stored away so that’s making me nervous about the update as well. I know Rovio would just love for me to “accidentally” lose them all.

The King Pig Challenges becomes available when or IF you can successfully complete the daily Challenge (which is a feat in itself) and it’s a one shot time only so if you back out it’s gone for the day.

I’ve completed the first Pig Challenge. Series of 5 levels (4 normal and one a boss) that ranges from 3-5 rooms per level. Rovio totes about how the rewards are even greater than the DC. The only thing greater about it is the black pearls, which even then it’s stingy. 5 battles with one life only awards you 50 pearls, 2 random premium chests, and 1 magic duck. Wish it was a lot more. So like angryplayer says, I’m a hamster on a wheel that’s going to spend months maybe even a year grind to get a diamond sling shot.

@jon3800: Thanks. I’ll seldom even see it. I play the first 2 levels while waiting on my coffee to brew in the morning. Then I’m off and running and typically never have time for the 3rd, which I never get the first time. By the time I get home again, it has long since expired. Doesn’t sound terribly worth the effort anyway ;)

WHAT IN THE HELL?

I’m the in the Gold League. I mentioned the Azure league and that was wrong. I’ve been winning every battle for the past week. They do this update and I am facing people with level 3 and 4 birds and they are out scoring me by 2 million points. Why? WTF?

PLUS, I was trying to beat an opponent that some how jumped ahead of me by 2.5million points on just 1 stage. A pig was thrashed around and had the holy shit beat out of him and do you think it popped? Hell no. I use my final 3 birds, Terrance, Matilda and bomb bird AND THEY DID NOTHING. So I take advantage of the free bird ad. I get yellow bird. Hit that frickin’ pig head on and STILL nothing happened. I was in position to beat the opponent IF I could pop that pig and go on to another stage. So I use the gems to try again. I get 3 more birds AND NONE OF THEM could pop the pig!!!! BULL DAMN SHIT. I’m none with this game.

Ok probably not done but that is some serious bullshit.

Right you are @jon3800. And by the time you finally manage to get a diamond sling shot, there will be a “Super Titanium Carbyne Slingshot” or whatever the hell they come up with by then, bird tiers will be “God Deity Ethereal Being” granting points times x-infinity-googleplex (like score even matters anyway, except in the Arena), and the new hats will be 1 quadrillion black pearls…. and of course there will always be players that walk in stacked with everything on the day of the release and Rovio will stare at those players and ignore they even exist.

All this takes is 1 graphic artist to come up with the designs and icons, 1 programmer to increase the values to the class array and add one more data column for the new tier, and a blindfolded chimp with a pencil in his teeth to create the new levels (well, I already believe the levels are being randomly generated based on a structure algorithm against your star/bird level, but that’s another subject).

I think we are all sick and tired of the bs AB2 has become, but we keep on playing! If we all just stopped until the bugs were fixed and cheaters banned you can bet Rovio would notice. Of course we all keep right on playing what dolts!

The update finally downloaded automatically. All my birds leveled up to 16. I played one of the new levels. I then went to play the arena and all my birds were dropped back to 15. When I get a spell as a bird back that spell is deducted from my inventory of saved spells, so I’ve lost 4 eagles an assorted other spells in the last few days. To add further insult to injury, I had Bomb with 8015 banked feathers. Then 500 feathers just vanished. These exact same things happened 2 updates back and Rovio said it couldn’t be fixed until the next update and sorry about your lost feathers. Here’s a few gems for your inconvenience. The more things change the more they stay the same.

All my birds leveled up to 16. I played one of the new levels. I then went to play the arena and all my birds were dropped back to 15.

Happens with every update if you have enough feathers to go up a level. All you need to do is simply collect 1 feather of every type, and they will all be back to level 16 again.

I have no idea why an additional feather is required when you have more than enough feathers to begin with, but I haven’t found a single update lately where that exact scenario doesn’t happen.

The spells I get in the game are often removed from my inventory but I have no prof. So Rovio says we are sorry your spells were reduced but we already sent you some gems awhile ago (months ago for another bug). We can’t send you spells……I feel like they are saying liar we don’t believe it.

Hi.

I ran into an opponent today at the Arena who´s first THREE birds were yellows!!!
Can you please explain to this huge minority how this is possible?

And furthermore, I do NOT understand how you can keep quiet after the enormous mess you have created.
Care to address this issue?

@kedik22 I get the feeling they are no longer with Rovio or they no longer care about consumer feedback. bankler hasn’t been on angrybirdsnest in 3 months, and heading towards 3 weeks for Hank, according to their profiles.

It kind of feels like Rovio have a vision, and no matter what we say or do, it isn’t going to stop Rovio making huge mistakes….

Algorithm is back to the fair one, so stop complaining. Everyone is now the same star level as me, same bird level as me, same slingshot as me.

Ah well, had the update forced on me. Miraculously didn’t lose any of my stuff and the arena has been OK so far. See how long that lasts for…

Ps. Just had 200 yellow feathers in one of the half hourly treasure chests, not going to complain about that!

Pps. Just did the king pig challenge on my 1st attempt, not a single spell or gem used. I found it pretty easy to be honest.
