    12 hours and still no joy. Reading back over other threads, this has been going on forever, and takes a whole lot of the fun out of the whole arena experience. Every time the tournament ends, it’s the same thing. Frustrating!

    Hi. I only registered to say that this issue MUST be widespread. I’m writing from Chile (South America) and I’m having the same problem with the Arena everyone here has mentioned. So… it’s up to Rovio I guess.

    That would be nice, along with a double dose of the daily feathers that I’m going to miss. But it won’t make up for all the feathers I’m not earning in the arena today. ?

    I stayed logged in right at the switch-over, and for the first time I immediately received rewards. I am also in a league where everyone else is at 0, and I’m at 350 stars. This is going to be a good week!

    I know why it locked up. Red#5174 is a time traveler. He scored 300 stars 3 hrs after league started last week and scored 48 stars 4 hrs after system locked last night. Best player ever !

    Just a warning, if you uninstall and reinstall your app, you may lose your gems, pearls and spells. They are NOT synced to your Facebook account. Per Rovio, they are saved in the device memory. I found that out when i played on a different device then I normally do.

    Looks to me by the way the arena is handicapped, rovio is losing money. Come on now, arena games are rigged to keep the game close. All rovio cares about is how many videos you watch. Keep the game close and somebody has to watch a video. Either way rovio gets paid. They got to be losing coin this week. Bet you now have to watch 2 videos until they catch up.

    Still can’t get in, dang it. If I have to reinstall the app, I won’t bother. Went through that a few months back when they did a big update and lost everything. I’m starting to think it’s time to break my AB2 addiction.

    Hi, this is Germany. Arena is not available since 40 hours. Email to Rovio is still without answer. I have to expect 300 pearls from the last tournament. I wonder if that works! So sad.

    Yesterday at 7 p.m. the arena was suddenly online. The last week tournament finished, I owned my pearls and the other players in new tournament are all new for me with low scores at that time. All is fine.

    Hi there, i’m new here and the last weeks forced me to register. Because i have had a deja vu, i want to tell you all a short story:
    A few years ago i downloaded a recommended app, it was a tiny little construction game. Not really like the ones you find today, but it was ok for me and lots of other gamers.
    While also playing the same game, a good friend of mine found a community like this one here and enjoyed to log in there, found good friends allover the us, canada and europe which leads at the end in mutual personal visits.
    Now to the game: daily log in gave some benefits, regular updates brought new content and for exclusive new items the players were willing to pay small amounts.
    But then came some updates and with them bugs, which the community reported to the developers. Suddenly a employee of the developer company rushed in the community blog and promised, that all reported bugs would be given to the programming team and should be fixed by them. He (later it was also a female employee) asked for reporting every bug, that we gamers could find and again everything worked after updating well.
    But because real life isn’t a game, the developing company was overtaken by a big asian company and everything changes. No daily benefits anymore, exclusive items became more expensive, updates became a rarity and at least no response anymore from the developers. Not to tell you, that the game went down and in the end the app was closed and taken from the app store.
    Can you imagine, why i had my deja vu?

    Just a note at the end: i have nothing against making profit, but is has to be a good balance…..and only a satisfied customer is a loyal customer. If ab2 is going to be wrecked like it looks like now, i will say goodbye early enough to all rovio games.
    Finally i have to say, that visiting this community here was always a pleasure for me and often enough i find here the solution for any level in any rovio game i played and was acting like a zombie when i despaired in a level.
    I apologise my bad english, i left the school in germany more than 40 years ago, but i hope you understand my intention for my post.

    I just stopped in to say thanks for the temporary fun Rovio but you officially suck.Hacks all over the place as of today,blatant at that.I have now uninstalled the game and decided no more android games period.Goodbye and good riddance.

    I can’t believe it!!! Rovio sent me 100 gems and an apology for the recent arena outage. That doesn’t help the fact that the leader has left all but 2nd place behind with 1000 stars more than 3rd place. I have been in the arena since Monday morning around 8:45am CST. I’m in Memphis TN. I would not uninstall the app. This is a server problem. When they fix it everybody will be able to get back in. It still sucks because the week has been wasted for most of us.

    Ok – I was lucky to get in to Arena because I watched the countdown to the week turned over. I had over 150 before anyone else joined so I saw this as an opportunity to earn back one of my two recent demotions. In a few hours someone not only caught up to me but has also surpassed me by almost 200 now. I’m playing what I consider a ridulous, insane amount and can’t catch him. Because since everyone came back, I can’t win with more than 7 stars! The last two weeks I was all 8, 9, 10, even in the last three rounds in a streak. Just now, in a Round 6 match, I literally HIT A PIG WITH FOUR BIRDS before it finally perished! I still won without a video but only earned 5 stars. I would have killed it had that one bird not been protected by some diswine intervention. As for chests… when I wanted feathers I got gems. When I want spells all I get are feathers. I had survived two demotions very well – it broke the spell – and I was ready to uninstall. Then the opportunity to catch up presented itself. But when a game notoriously always flies in the face of logic, the laws of physics, and gives the exact opposite of what one needs it becomes impossible to justify. And yet Rovio does. It’s like a person gets caught cheating and the spouse actually SEES the other person in bed with another person and h/er reply is, “I didn’t cheat. I can’t help what you think you see.”

    Although I can get into the Arena (lost 2 1/2 days of play after tournament end on Saturday however), I have chosen not to participate this week either, which is too bad, because it seems a lot of the competition has been disabled due to more Rovio server issues. But even with this handicap, there’s no way I will ever reach close to the top player because I have a life and am not giving this game any more time than it already robs from me.

    Top player in my league already at 1000+ stars. They must have been able to run the Arena since Saturday without any outage. I bet that person is thinking, “Hawlright…” (if it’s an actual person). I would have to play consistently winning 10 stars every game for the next 48 hours and I still might not even catch him.

    Last week I was lying in bed playing for over 2 hours and kept my eye on the player above me. At one point, after about 45 min of me playing, their score was 20 stars or so ahead of mine and hadn’t moved during that time (I assumed they were just offline and not playing). As I got closer, and closer, suddenly their score went up another 200 stars!! I get it that we don’t see updates until they’re sent to the server so how in the heck did this happen? Are updates only sent every x hours for every player? My score seemed to move in real-time as I played…. and it would take at least a couple of hours to successfully gain that many stars… something is decidedly fishy…

    And since I’m seeing most of the players in my ‘league’ this week are also repeats from last week, I keep thinking about something that @hank said once in the forums- when asked about if the Arena players are real people, he said something along the lines of “yes, unless it’s early in the competition and there isn’t anyone scoring yet, then those are placeholders until enough players get in there and fill up the roster…” So I wonder if enough people are just dumping the app and we are only playing/seeing these miraculous ‘placeholders’?

    As stated earlier: you want people to pay money for your app then you better make sure you give them what they pay for. This means upholding the consumer/business agreement to keep your service working as expected.

    Rovio is operating a restaurant where people come in, and pay before they receive their order. In return, some of them get a plate full of more than they expected; others get cold food from last night; still others sneak in, don’t pay and find a way to sit at a table and fill their bellies and management just overlooks this because they can’t figure out how to block the entrances; and yet others receive an empty plate/substandard fare and the waiters ignore them when they complain. So the management fires most of the staff in an effort to retain revenue and the few remaining workers have to do all the tasks. People get fed up because now the place is also dirty and it’s anyone’s guess if your order will even be filled.

    How long would a business like this last in the real world? Who would go back to eat there after an experience like that? Rovio needs to give their heads a shake and put some attention on what matters…
