    I never win. but my mom, she's unreal. She likes to play a few scratch-offs every month or so, and always wins. Then the forgets to cash them in and they expire. She gave me a stack of 20 tickets last year, and it was like $600. All expires. I screamed. Loudly.

    Arghhh !! Expired!! Why does she bother if she isn't cashing them in..lol usually you use the winner to buy more. .lol I don't buy the scratch ones anymore the ods are terrible. .buy a 2 $ ticket and lucky if you get your 2 $ back to buy another:/

    1 in 4 of those tickets is supposed to win *something*, even if it's just another ticket, and whenever I've bought them, they never do. Mom just forgets to cash them in. It drives me crazy.

    I've heard that @kelani every 1 in 5 and my Dad used to say if you get the losing code 'EYR' that's a guarantor of a winner in the next 5 lol it usually is but maybe only 2 $
    In the years I used to buy them once i won 1 000 $ but had to pay taxes twice .. once when i cashed it than again on my tax return. I'm sure I spent more then i ended up with.
    But ya to have so many expired would have made me crazy to lol.
    Going to fling Stella on my phone. .nexus getting warm from nonstop space think it needs a cool down.

    @Kathy If Nexus is warm, definitely don't run Stella on it. It's a huge battery hog. My oldpad almost got hot to the touch before I turned off sound

    @Ma Pig Bang level 20 is one of those where computer geeks have an advantage over us non-technical flingers. To get the extra 500 points you need to reload the software, I'm not sure which version, and then hit the power up or something after you score. It adds an extra 500 only on the first play after loading. So if you don't get a good score, you need to reload again. Or something like that. Ask @Kelani again. I bet he remembers doing it now that I've refreshed his memory. I never tried. I don't like Pig Bang. This is just another example of why.

    Thanx @Pa I guess I'll just settle with the pb level #20 I'm not in the mood or knowledge of reloading or any. I really think it has to do with getting the egg first time but what we know now we wish we knew then lol story of my life..
    @Kelani I don't care that much about stella not even entering scores just playing for a distraction till nexus cools off and charges up. But also almost Bedtime..aww I wish there were more hours in the day

    @Ma If I'm doing serious flinging on my iPad, the bottom right corner gets very hot. I put a bandage on it to keep from burning my palm. But I haven't heated it up in a long time though. lol

    As for puppies when the one from two nights ago is awarded, I think that's 5? Maybe 6. Two in a week is unusual for me, especially on an ancient Ham em High level.

    @Kathy Sound uses battery, battery gets hot. No sound, a bit less heat :)

    Hi @Mumsie. They're college football teams. I, my wife, my brother, my father, my sister-in-law, and two nieces went to Mississippi State University (MSU). We've all stayed loyal to a football team that's never accomplished much of nothing. It's been tough taking all the justified ridicule all these many decades. But this year, we have a team! We're currently undefeated and ranked third in the nation behind Florida State University and Auburn University. Today we played Auburn and beat them badly. MSU has never been ranked in the top ten since they started ranking the teams back in the 1940's. It's just possible, that when the national rankings come out tomorrow, MSU will be ranked #1. So yeah, it's a big deal for us extremely patient MSU fans. Whoo Hoo! Amazingly, the University of Mississippi (known as Ole Miss) is also having a banner year. It's just possible that our rival could be ranked #2 in the nation tomorrow. Two teams from Mississippi ranked 1st and 2nd in the nation. The odds of winning the lottery are better. lol

    I don't know if this helps you understand why I'm delighted, but I'm delighted that you're delighted that I'm delighted. I think? ha ha

    @hunnybunny I know I should, but after 9 months I kinda wanna have my life back :/ as for the tooth hell, I have been brushing, cleaning, pocket cleaning these last 2 weeks like a mad woman, even more so than I already did (had an infection on the same spot 2 years ago and went thru the cycle of specialist cleaning blech). Tomorrow will be the check up and the assessment of the rest of the gums... sigh I am afraid there will be more deep cleaning of pockets in my near future :(

    Mister @rat so no trip to Dutchieland just yet? well I can not blame you for waiting till spring time. The best time of the year imo, sunlight and blooming flowers, but no real high temps like in the summer. We are trying to plan our anniversary trip for December and I got my eyes set on Cologne/Köln/Keulen. We don't have a credit card and that looks like to be essential if we are to book a B&B across the border. So looking into the prices and regulations of a credit card.

    @estar a credit card from your normal bank should be free, as long as you pay the balance off every month. You need to check if they charge "foreign transaction" charges. Also paying with a credit card abroad normally works out cheaper as you get "business" rate, as opposed to "tourist" rate, exchange. At least I do, but my credit card is so old that I have no idea if that perk still exists.
    Enjoy Germany, only been there once, for one day! on a cruise, but the little bit we saw was beautiful

    Yeah, the trip is delayed. The wife's work trip got moved to the spring and it just seems economical to let work pay for her airfare. Plus it's a long flight. This way she only has to cross the pond once. Well, twice if you count coming back. lol

    @hunnybunny our normal bank does have the option for a credit card, but due to us having the basic account it will be an extra cost of 18 euro's a year. As far as I could see there are no extra fees for foreign transactions if the country uses the euro, which Germany does. Mister @rat we never had the need for an credit card, I pay everything directly with my bank account using a system designed for all banks in the Netherlands, called iDeal. Everything else is bought in store using another system called pin, not sure if you have that over there, but it is basically the same system as the iDeal, put in your code and it get charged to one's bank account. No credit, so no fees for late payments. We also have PayPall for other online stuff, but we only use that buying software or eBay stuff.

    The only reason for us not having a credit card is because with the other available systems we can not spend more than we have in our bank accounts, which I find a nice reassuring thing. So even if we were victims of a crime money wise, they can not take more than we have, so although it would be a disaster, we would not end up with a bill larger than we can afford. But I have read that all credit card purchases are covered by insurance and I think credit card companies are known to pay back when one is a victim of a scam... so it is also the fear of the unknown I guess

    @Estar I'd love to see a world ID card that acts as a passport, debit card, etc. Get the banks out of the credit card business. They increase the cost of everything. Get rid of em. But since they're out there right now, I use them for the convenience and to make money. I even tried to buy my last car with a credit card. Just to get a $900 rebate. But I agree with you. If you don't have the money, you have no business spending it in advance. All my credit cards are set up with automatic bank draft payments in full every month.

    @all I'm confused. Everybody is accepting a friendship request from @jtwade. S/he's been a nest member since 2012 and has a lot of badges such as alumni and share the wealth, but no info at all on his/her profile page and no scores entered. None, nada, nothing on any level!!! Why is everybody accepting the request?

    @rat I did accept, but I have to admit I normally would not have... before I became an admin I had a strict rule of only befriending people I knew, but being an admin I do accept more requests. Also I figured if someone is requesting after such a long time and with so many badges that person is reaching out, maybe for assistance and as an admin I want to be more "open" to those that I do not know. Usually I go thru my friendslist every so often and delete some that I accepted but never spoke to. and to be frank, jtwade is one that I would probably delete again due to no conversation what so ever.

    @Estar I don't have credit card either just my bank card and i can't spend what i don't have. The only loan I have is my car which was a scary decision but i really needed a car sooo..

    I've accepted a few friends requests just because people had something to ask me privately. Sometimes it was important. But I never accept a request from anyone who's obviously clicking down the list. That's against the rules anyway.

    Haven't done the @estar friendly cleanout yet, but I may have to before too long.

    Just started my translation engine to type some english overhere. Situation here is still the same. Was as the doctor this week, he took 5 tubes of blood to test for inflammation somewhere in the body. The results are available this friday. Tomorrow there will be made a heart-film (correct word) - to see if something is wrong in that area.
    I hope I missed no ones birthday last week, if yes, apologize.

    @kathy thanks. Yes, it is frustrating. Feeling down isn't the right word, feeling exhausted. And that after a little physical effort. Swollowed many doses of vitamins, nothing helps

    Has the doc looked into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome @bernersenn ? I don't know to much about that but I've heard is common and treatable .

    @kathy I don't know what he is testing. That is weird, normally I want to know exactly what those people are going to do, couldn't bring that force yet. So I'll wait till friday, when nothing is known at that time I will go to the dentist that detected my wife's heavy metal poisoning - years ago
