One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 27-6 is to fling the Yellow bird through the middle of the left tower at an upward angle, allowing to to break through the right tower as well. Blast the leftmost piggy with the White bird, ricocheting into the nearby structure for some extra points. The score in the video below is 116,790.

Top Score for now (126,610)
It’s pretty much a guarantee that you’ll need to use the White Bird to attack the bottom-left piggy, so forget about the left tower.
YB: Over the left tower, target the boulders in the right tower. This will yield some solid damage points, and you’ll still detonate the TNT below.
WB: Bomb the bottom-left piggy and ricochet into the boulders of the left tower.
Yessssss! I can say that I do agree with the Mighty Slim. Missed your score because the bottom left pig didn’t cave under the boulder, so I had to use another Matilda… May I had that the best results come when the bottom right of the structure collapse after the inner pig inflate. Couldn’t figure why it does and why it doesn’t sometimes.
@AMSlimfordy — Thanks! Was about to ask for some extra tips, but finally got 128190. YB slightly below boulders in right tower, YB went through and detonated TNT; largest boulder fell to center and took out right side piping. Largest 1st shot score I’ve seen. WB bombs lower left piggie and knocks boulders on left tower into center for even more destruction.
@Sparty83 @Silverbird — I’m probably up to ~130 restarts, and have only seen self-destruction twice.
130K with three birds. First two as Slim describes, but still lots of debris trapped in the center. Shot last white low, ricochet into piping to open a chute to empty out the backup. Took a LOT of tries!
Real rare to see you with a Top Score!! Nice going Slim!!
I have left a lot of debris, 105k. 1 bird left
I used that strategy but threw the third bird low and up into the rubble that had accumulated in the center. All of that dropping face me an extra 20,000 to get me to 125. Nice!
I got a 1-birder by following the same shot in the video. The Big boulder landed on top of the thin rock piece over the Helmet Pig and popped it.
I did the same but not for a great score.
FYI – The right tower can collapse all on its own.
@SilverBird, I haven’t seen the self-collapse yet. How did it happen? Was it swaying as soon as you opened the level, and how many seconds did it take before it fell? What was the score? If you could post what you saw in our Self-Destruct and Unstable Levels section, it’ll be added to the list on page 1. Thank you!
cc: @mvnla2
I will, thanks for reminding me that we have that resource! Meanwhile, yes, it’s swaying as you open, collapses within seconds. Out of five observations (this level is serious fun!), the YB didn’t make it to the dynamite twice, and I didn’t kill the left lower pig also twice. One time score was around 120,000, even though the initial score was around 80,000. I just didn’t get enough destruction.
In 1 hour, I only noticed significant swaying, enough to topple the right side (I had already flung yellow bird), once. I am not certain it is of much benefit as you probably still need the white bird.
Playing more this morning, saw a number of collapses, but never resulted in a high score.
nothing special, lucky two shots and got top score with 133k right now. screenshots : first bird and second bird
Here’s repeatable 130k+ strategy. The first shot is the hard one and also the key.
First bird on fairly flat trajectory, object is to take out both the pipe that comes out of the left floating platform AND the wooden beam between the two vertical stone blocks. The entire mid section will collapse and sometimes the left tower as well.
Second bird, bomb egg on the lower left structure and topple the upper left tower if it still there.
Third bird, bomb egg on the piping to the right and topple the right tower.
That first shot is definitely hard.
I’ve only gotten the pipe and the plank to go once in about 100 flings.
But I can see how this would be a high scoring option.
Good find!
The shot is a little hard to start with, but with just a few minutes of practice, it becomes quite repeatable. I still haven’t managed a 130k + score with it, but this strategy has a lot of potential.
Combine this with a self-collapsing right tower, now that could be a whopper score! I haven’t made the first shot work yet, but I worth trying some more!
combined this indeed with self-collapsing right tower to get 136310/2 within 10 minutes (2 self-collapses):
0th) reset until tower sways significantly immediately (less than 5 seconds in total per reset);
1st) through horizontal pipe (quickly, before the boulder from the right tower arrives to the tnt). hope for left tower being pushed to the left and total destruction. if not;
2nd) as described above, bombing left structure sending carcass into left tower.
this is a very simple to execute strategy (both shots are simple), albeit quite boring (the resetting that is), and 140k+ is certainly possible with it (with a bit more time and luck).
You don’t have to wait for this collapse to happen as long as you can count to 9. It happens every time. There might be a better pattern but this works fine for 135K+ and I guess 140K+ with more tries. This took me a few minutes to find out.
I should say that these kind of patterns are depening on device, version and what OS version you’re playing on but it shows that there are NO randomness in AB as we maybe thought before. It just differ depending on the parameters I mentioned above.
I post and say this as all score get more dependent on these parameters espasially on self-collapsing levels and these silly high scoring levels as ShortFuse.
This video below is from an IPad 2/iOS6.1.2/AB v4.0.0
http://youtu.be/Dcttu1u86U4
tried counting, but that didn’t work for me. still, interesting observation and video.
Sorry I didn’t say you have to hardclose to get into work. Then go in to the level and start counting. But I’ve seen playing with my friends that outcome depends on the three parameters I said.
ah. that makes sense. used that long time ago in angry birds free for a self-collapsing level (but then negatively, to avoid ending up in the same pattern, did something different each time before starting a run). my idea about this was that various elements in the program make use of a random number generator, but that that generator is initialised with a fixed seed value upon program start. had understood from some comments elsewhere that that had changed, but you’re right that it hasn’t: don’t know the number of resets needed on my device for 26-6 yet (it’s largish), but i do know that the pattern is the same in each run, in particular getting 50pts in the 9th from program start.
while experimenting slightly increased my score, but more to be had indeed.
@vuelva, Here is a 3 min + vid showing it 3 times in a row. You’ll see that the collapse is identical. Pink bubbling up still has some randomness but I guess if you do this many times you’ll see some patterns in the scores
http://youtu.be/yz385ScV9ec
I just improved a 1k this way. Still more to grab with this counting method.
here a vid of it same as before
http://youtu.be/d6taBdpxgZ8
found a fast way for my device (ipad air,ios 7.0.4,ab 4.0.0) too: open ab, open level 22-7, close level 22-7, open level 22-6, reset; the right tower will fall. scored 137k on my second attempt just now, so will try some more.
Yes that way worked fine for me too and seems to yeild more when pink bubbles up. improved 138k on 3rd go.
Thanks! I hope to come back to ABO once ABSeasons and Xmas is over. These levels are nice but I’m no fan of the multiple scores on some of the levels. That’s to random for my taste.
I couldn’t let this level be and just shot a nice 146.6K with 2b and using @vuelva ‘s 26-7; 26-6 and reload. I had 101k after 1st with self collapse
http://angrybir.de/1985A5M
interesting that this one works for you(r device) as well, but yours doesn’t for me (only giving some pts then, but no collapse).
it was in fact the first thing i tried after giving up on just resetting 26-6, only selecting 26-7 because it’s next to 26-6…
after several 139ks after posting my previous comment, just now up to 144k with that, after a 99k 1st (i reset when scoring less than 95k). was shooting (trying to shoot) the 1st in such a way that the low diagonal pipe would also be taken out by it or at least damaged (slight angle, activate shortly after release) to clear the path for the falling stones. 2nd was such that the carcass hit the tower low (just above the hollow square) making (the platform with) the boulder on it fall to the left (don’t know yet what’s best though, falling to the left or to the right).
yes, a lot of randomness in several of the sf-levels. like playing a lottery (in real life, i never do that exactly because there’s no relationship to skill).
haha. you handsomely beat my score while i was posting on it. excellent. i call it quits for today.
to mock a mockingbird, @vuelva, thank you. With the right side collapsing as I launched the YB to clear the left pipe, I slowly improved from 126710>131340
& finally 138960, currently #5.
Yours was the 1st post I read that described how to force/initiate the right side collapse by restarting ABO>open SF>open & close 26-7 without playing>open 26-6 & without shooting, refresh/restart level. Almost as soon as the level opens after the “refresh/restart level,” the right side leans & collapses. Very rarely the TNT isn’t set off.
I play on an Android phone & <strongevery single time I followed this procedure the right side fell. It took me quite a number of tries to shoot the YB in the correct spot, but as TNT explodes & pinkie bubbles float, when the left pipe is gone there’s enormous scoring potential. I 1st saw the collapse when moving to the level today after also lucking out on 26-5. As I opened 26-6 & launched YB, I saw the right side falling & actually managed a 1-birder for 120620 & silly me thought that was a good score.
@vuelva @ernor63 I can not find any consistency on collapses on this one. Only had it work once coming from 7 into 6, but only after I went into 7, did a reset, then into 6, did a reset. Not been able to repeat this. The tower probably falls about once in 100 tries, which then requires a lot of luck on how much is destroyed. I was able to go from the 133k I already had to 136k, but would be nice to play with this if I could find some consistency as this randomness is very time consuming.
How interesting is this post! I had no idea you could “force” a self-destroying level ;-) Thank you to both @vuelva and @ernor63 for the details shared in this walkthrough ;-))) I should also thank @f91jsw for the original idea of going for the pipe with the first YB ;-)
I play on iPad (original) version 4.3.3 and ABo version 4.0.0 and BOTH of your ways worked to force the collapse…btw every time!!!
Also interesting to note that after finding it less time consuming to do it the “to mock a mockingbird’s” way, I got sick of a hard close so I hit reset and found that several times the right side would collapse on an additional 3 resets as well as an additional 6/7 resets (which would have been ernor’s original way of counting to nine) with my “played” level counted as one of those resets. This wasn’t always consistent, however, their original ways were 100% of the time.
I got my best score using vuelva’s right side collapse along with sending YB through the pipe. My score was 97490 at that point. Then WB to drop on the left of the bottom wood triangle while she ricocheted into the top left. I seemed to score higher when the boulder rolled down to the left. Thanks again for sharing your information guys ;-)))
I found I could “force” the collapse every time with both of these methods, thank you @ernor63 & @vuelva for the details. I never saw the the tower collapse without doing a hard close of ABO so it is a bit time consuming, but the scores are worth it :) I’m on a 1st gen ipad ios5 & still with version 3.4.1. Had 100k after the 1st shot with collapse, & I agree with @lesleyg, scored a few more points when the boulder dropped off the left side of the floating platform.
Both strats worked for me with 8 resets or opening 26-7 then 26-6 with one reset after hard open. I does take time to restart game with hard close / open, but I figured I would spend more time on soft resets, no falling tower and lower scores. The problem is I would sometimes choke, miss pipe, or kill middle pig. Ugh! But it is worth the time to hard close in the long run. More productive flinging!
In the 133k range I couldn’t leave well enough alone either, wanted to clear over 140k. In less than one hour of hard close/open, I finally got over 144k and currently in 3rd place… Happy with that. Moving on. Thank you for the very “out of the box” insightful strats!
Yes! It did fall on 9th restart, also on ~11th while I was practicing first shot. The discussion about repeatability is in the forum on self-destroying levels. Complete discussion in old forum. I will post some updated observation. However, note that on 26-12, pattern doesn’t repeat after 2nd restart.
I am playing on iPad 2 with IOS 7
@mvnla2 – Interesting that mine works everytime on 26-12. My version is in my above post ;-)
@lesleyg — Had to read what I’d written in forum on self destruction to figure out what I meant! Seems like I might have been having a conversation mostly with myself on 3 pages, ABO SF 26 – 6, ABO SF 26-12, and the forum on self destruction.
Anyway, ernor63 and to mock a mocking bird found that there were repeatable sequences that produced self-destruction on both 26-6 and 26-12. On 26-12, after the first hard close, I got self-destruction on both the 2nd and 3rd restart. Although the pattern of self destruction on the 2nd restart after a hard close does repeat, I never saw self destruction on the 3rd restart again, and the pattern after the 2nd restart was different every time. A year ago when some of us were looking at repeatability of self-destruction, the pattern was identical through many restarts (this was for some different levels).
Not sure this really clarifies anything, but …
@ernor63, thank you so much for this video. Were stuck on 123k, tried a gazillion times the method menthioned above – a hard shot. That was an understatement. Each time I tried to shoot away the pipe and the wood I killed the pig on the same time, so he couldn’t swell. Again, thanks very much – despite the other comments here.
Ernor63 — Wow, I didn’t quite follow your explanation, but after watching your video, all was clear — the mental block was mine. Your observation has significant implications for playing any self-destructing level! Knowing when the instability will appear — i.e., upon 9th restart in this case — is the key to replicating it on demand. It is incredibly insightful. Thank you for sharing.
While my first shot was on it’s way to clearing out the pipe on the left per @f91jsw strategy, there was a partial collapse of the right tower. The TNT ignited, triggering the potion, clearing the center structure. WB #1 took out the left side and WB #2 cleared the remaining right tower.
After seeing the earlier posts about the collapsing right tower I waited 20 seconds 20 times without the collapse reoccurring.
Pic of my score is in my album.
Finally came back to Short Fuse to finish all the levels and improve some old scores. I am happy and relieved to report the self-collapse is still “working”. I am on iPad 3, iOS 7.1.1, AB 4.1.0
Got my score after opening the level 9 times.
Oh My @f91jsw Thank You soooo much!! I’m very late catching up on this episode, and i thought I’d never make average after scrolling down, reading of the self collapse and watching Ernor videos, but I had one last hope and read carefully through the many posts! found yours made average at least! thank you 🐣
And thought I had it, but as I was typing, The level timed out and that ugly’Failed’ pig was laughing!
WwwwwwwHhhhhhiiiiinnnneeee😭
For close to two hours I was aiming below the boulders, never getting beyond 122k. Went back to the video method and quickly got 134k. High scores are probably as likely either way, but I happened to get my score via a direct hit to the boulders. GL!
found this level toughest for feather 100% demolition
In the end I fired 1st bird like the video, next 2 birds use to take out ALL the wood/stones on floating left tower, finally fire can at closest ice block, easily repeatable with a couple of tries.
Thanks for the Mighty Eagle strategy – got it at the first attempt!
New top score as per strategy mentioned by “to mock a mockingbird” and others: self collapsing + YB to the pipe + WB as to make fall the the top left tower on the one below. Good fall out and a final score of 148,290 !! Quite a boring level though, with the systematic reseting…
Here is the prove:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/angry-birds-addict/album/picture/8678/
Thanks all for posting good strategies for high score on each walkthroughs! ;-)
Did anybody noticed that with the new ABO updates, the two little wood pieces on the far right tower were replaced by one single piece, thus preventing the fall out to happen. I guess high scores are not possible anymore on this level, right?
@angry-birds-addict Well spotted! I wish I had read your post ten minutes ago. I will now give up on hoping for the tower to collapse.
Ditto! @angry-birds-addict. Currently replaying this level to improve my scores, and had been hoping to get the collapse. But as @triggerfish noted, it’s been changed in an update. Guess I’ll have to make do with my very mediocre score!
@admins – perhaps this should be added to the “blacklist” of levels not suitable for daily challenge? It seems beating high scores is a non-starter now.
well i can see I’m not Ever gonna make average on this level, what with the changes, updates and all, Thank you for posting @peejaydee27, Knowing that is no longer possible I appreciate your saving my efforts 😉
Again a few years late and a few dollars short lol!
I feel your pain @kathy! This reminds me of another potion levels with the multiplying pigs (can’t remember the exact level, but everything was upside down I think). They reduced the number of potions and really spoiled the fun!! Videos and screen shots before the level was nobbled looked amazing!
Thanks @peejaydee27 , yep most of these levels in this Episode are different than the screenshots and videos from way back when, oh well, I’m managing average in most but there are gonna be a few that are impossible…
145740/3
Only mention this because I didn’t use the self collapse and this may be the highest score described without it. First flat glancing off pipe to pink vial. Second to take out front tower and pig below. Third to take out rear tower. Lots of rubble destruction. A 2 bird version may be possible if the front tower perishes on the first bird (which happens) and also takes out pig on ground. I may return…
Thanks for the post @desperate-dan. Used basically the same three birds for good destruction and an above average score. Did not see any self destruction nor wobble on the right side.
