Angry Birds Rio Beach Volley Walkthrough Level 8 (5-8)

Our strategy for Beach Volley level 5-8 is to fire the Blue bird head-on into the ice blocks of the left tower. Follow suit with a Yellow bird into the heart of the left tower, clearing all marmosets within. Fire the last Yellow bird through the marmosets of the right tower to finish the level. The score in the video below is 77,690.

Destroy the right building first, then finish with the 2nd bird.

I think is the best way to go.

First bird just over the first building, touching the grass and split to destroy as much as possible second building and 2 marmoset . Second bird destroy first building. 80400 for me at the moment, but much better is possible.

I think a one bird solution exists (hitting with blue bird left corner of second building)but is somehow connected with “antigravity board” (the upper right board) mentioned before. Until now, with this method I succeded to destroy both buildings except one monkey. Worth try until maybe this dies too.

By darpan goyal

while trying the same method,,got 89200..destroyed all the monkeys in the first buildind xept middle one then destry remaining one and get destruction bonus…..n move on 2 the 2nd building….

I found this to be possibly the most excruciating level in Rio. I had an endless parade of scores in the 73-75k range using both of the main methods described in the comments (including some that used all four birds!) before finally getting a lucky shot with the third bird (video method) that caused a lot of damage. 82170 is plenty for me – I’m never touching this level again!

Incidentally, I’m quite convinced that the reason for the “antigravity board” effect is that they actually had to alter the parameters for that one piece in order to keep the structure from toppling immediately. You can probably see that absent any trickery, there’s no way that the first structure could possibly support itself at that angle. So there’s another reason to hate this level: they had to sabotage the physics to make it work.

I’ve been going back through all the levels replaying them to have a score greater than the average score posted on the leaderboard. I’m still trying to figure out if the one bird solution posted by tatake is doable since no one has posted anything about it.I’m trying top improve a 76,940 to something greater than 80,000.

Definately worked best by destroying second structure first…talk about a ghost in the machine, several times after I destroyed second structure, some of the top of the first structure fell with out anything even touching it! Weird! but the time I got my highest score of 81040 this didn’t happen, so anyway second bird seems to cause more debris points if you send it thru first structure right at the top of the bottom vertical wood plank just were it meets at the wooden triangle corner, if you notice the vertical wooden plank is a little thicker and then it thins out right there as it meets up to make the left part of triangle, the wood thins that’s the spot to hit it at.

That was very weird, like you said @lesleyg! The same thing happened to me, when I aimed at the second structure, split bb and the first structure started its self-destruct mode. It’s happened several times now, and I guess that’s how @tatake was able to get a one-birder. I wish I could get lucky and have all of the marmosets destroyed like that.

In fairness to other players, unusually high scores like this should be supported by a screen shot at least, otherwise the challenge is a waste of everyone else’s time.
