Our strategy for Poached Eggs level 2-21 is to fire the first White bird just above the leftmost pig, dropping the bomb as late as possible. With the next two birds, try to break the stone blocks on the left side. Once exposed, launch the Yellow bird through the exposed wooden blocks and into the heart of the level. Fire the Black bird into the vertical stone blocks on the right side to blow the remaining pig sky-high. The score in the video below is 84,430.
Version 2022:
AMslimfordy video added 8K to the score. It was 5K below average, about just enough to get the 3 stars. If all the verticle boards/blocks do not go down on the first white bird and the aim is a little high on the 2nd and 3rd bird, his strategy still provides a good scoring opportunity. Thank you.
Thanks slim! Added 7,000 following the video.
Whoa!! Where is everybody? Is there any other method for those with higher scores? I think @wrw01, @harmkt, and me still have a pretty long way to be at least with “decent” score here… :(
E-Star has a slightly different approach: Poached Eggs 2-21
Hope this helps, @birdjo ;)
It does a lot, @sal9. The key for me is Black should be detonated upon impact just like in @e-star‘s video. The blocks will fly further (and fall harder) this way, increasing the chance of breaking. But with one bird left, it’s very hard to even get close to 100k. Breaking every destructible objects in this level might just yield some 85k (95k with 1 unused White)…
Thanks for putting my video on here @Sal9, I guess I thought my approach was nearly the same and didn’t hold a hugh amount of improvement in point enough for me to place it.
This was for me one of the most difficult levels in all of ABO, I hope and pray to Odin that I can improve my score enough for the challenge, otherwise I’m dead in the water. I noticed that by egging the roof, the left top side opens up, maybe I can get yellow and red in there to cause some damage to the inner pigs.
yes, that SEEMS to be the way to go…. i think i’m at about83,000 currently but i got that a while ago…. i am having a tuff time breaking 75,000 now, lol…. but i am trying to drop egg on leftmost part of the left “pitched” (angled) stone roof piece….. goodluck WW
I tried that roof entry point about 50 times and the best score was 82k, so it’s not a viable method to score higher. It also seems that I’ve reached my zenith on this level, so I’ll just sit it out ’til 10 PM when the new level starts. Good Luck.
when they give you 6 birds….. look out, lol
I can’t foresee any approach other than the one in the video that would provide a high score.
And apparently you’re correct, the bothersome detail on this level is that the only way to really attain the ultrahigh scores is through collateral damage, but, I’ve yet to find how, unless of course, you just have to take whatever the game decides to throw your way.
At this point I would be glad to know how people got to the high 80s / low 90s.
@mvnla2 I followed the video, plain & simple. The difference with my 90k score was damage – the 4th bird into the middle cleared out a lot, & I was able to blow everything on the right side clear with the bomb. Haven’t come close to duplicating it since.
I experimented with blowing the roof off with the white bird & going from there without much success. I’ve had some of the top part collapse a bit after the 2nd or 3rd bird but all that really did was leave a big pile of stone & wood I couldn’t do much with. Having red as the 3rd bird & all that stone limits your options.
Hummm! If Manu Malin just got to <91K on the challenge today, can we really believe all these scores that are close to 100K, with no high score strats posted? I admit, some of them seem legit.
So — Leaders; We would really appreciate some high score strats. This is today's challenge. Appreciate your help. Thanks
Zice murash crazyrider bastieroxxor ernor63 I picked you mostly because I recognize your names (except for zice, who has top score.
I know that sherwin and murash’s scores are legit, using either Chrome or Google Plus. I believe matmarc is in that boat as well, as well as a handful of other people over 95k. The threshold for ABo may be r3d3vil — that’s probably the highest name there that I recognize.
So are you saying that it is easier to get high scores using Chrome or Google Plus? If so, what is the difference, and are they supposed to enter scores on these leaderboards?
There’s a few levels out there where Chrome/GPlus can get higher scores. I haven’t really been able to figure out the difference specifically, but it seems to be a higher degree of “penetrating power” by the birds. In general, I don’t think it’s overly different.
And yes, they are permitted.
@mvnla2 This level is a bit easier now to crack 90k. The white bird seems to be able to push harder, leaving a clear path for Chuck. Someday maybe I will try for 100k.
@AMslimfordy, I have an unusual query, are scores from two different platforms permitted on the same leaderboard? To be more explicit, can I post the higher scores from ABO and Chrome AB (PE, MH DA and TBS) together on the same leaderboard?
BTW, this is not the case now, I have only scores from ABO posted.
This should answer that and any related questions:

Thank you for your expeditious reply, based on your assessment, I think that mixing and matching would then be allowed for my particular situation. Again, Thank You Very Much.
Got an extremely lucky 2 birder. My previous score was 100,800 and I believe that 103,000 is doable with the 3 bird method explained above. My white bird destroyed much of the middle structure along with the left. When I sent the yellow bird in to finish the middle, the right side got pulled down. With 5 birds left this gave a 50,000 point bonus for my current score.
Two-birder for 101K+. Matilda as per usual, low lob into the little concrete nook on the left side, releasing egg at last moment for max destruction of the area, including the thin vertical cement slats. I then decided to forego the very high lob of YB, and instead went for an almost horizontal fling (it’s actually slightly higher fling) at immediate max speed. Got a really good line drive, just missing the base structure, and YB cut all wood like butter right up to the right tower. What I then witnessed was very surprising: the top center structure collapsed vertically, taking out more debris than I was used seeing. Also, two thin cement slats teetered on the right helmeted pig…I was saying “c’mon, c’mon, c’mon, roll off the platform”…and…it did! Amazing to watch, # 5 score on this level. Pleased and moving on! Good luck.
111250 with 2 birds.
This one came as a surprise.
Nothing special except that the rightmost pig was pushed by Matilda action.
No screenshot here, I was so far away that I didn’t think it was worth it.
Then Chuck as described by @jim3993.
Here is the result.
And the highscore screenshot.
Hope it helps.
This level is definitely worth going for the two birder. While it took me more tries than it took @asher when it did work I got a big score. I didn’t get a screenshot after the first bird but the score was about 30k. Matilda took out both of the upper leftmost helmets pigs. The second shot was low as described by others, such that the rightmost helmeted pig rolled to the left and dropped to oblivion. Here’s a screenshot, part way through counting the leftover birds, that shows the trajectory.

Totally agree with @hallieginsb and @asher comments above. Had 4 or 5 three birders all between 103,000 and 105,000 but finally got the two birder for the high score
