For anyone who has had problems getting Angry Birds Mine And Dine v1.6.0 to load you definitely want to download and install this update (v1.6.1) as soon as possible. I just installed the update and so far everything looks good. If this works for you please let us know via the comments. Android now has the v1.6.1 update as well. Go get it!
If this still does not work DO NOT REMOVE ANGRY BIRDS from your device, as you run the risk of losing all your progress.

so absolutely none of the tips have helped and my AB opens maybe once out of every 20-30 times I try to open it… anyway… when it DOES open… I cannot use my Mighty Eagle… it just prompts me to buy it again. I checked my iTunes purchase history and it says I bought it… I’m signed into game center… what gives?
It does not work with the new update. Before 1.6.0 everything was perfect, but after the update I cant open the game. I have an HTC EVO

Yeah I was one of the lucky ones to lose everything because nothing worked. However, even after downloading the 1.6.1 update, every time I click on the Angry Birds app on my iPhone 3G it goes black screen for about 10 seconds and then exits back the home screen. I click it a 2nd time and then it goes black screen again for about 10 seconds but loads. This has consistently been happening with me everytime after a lengthy break. Granted the game loads but it takes 2 attempts and the solid black screen is rather inconvenient.
On a positive note, Episode 1 is back to full 3 stars and World 15 is now at 3 stars. Slowly getting the progress back though. Fortunately all achievements kept, but i’m still at 98% now with Smash Maniac being the last one. However, due to the data loss I have a feeling my achievement progress counter for smashing blocks was lost.
TL:DR; 1.6.1 still appears to have loading issues.
How do you know you are at 98% with Smash Maniac?
He has 54 out of 55 achievements, which is 98%. He’s not saying he has 98% of 500k blocks. There’s no way of knowing that.
Didn’t have issues with 1.6.0, but after 1.6.1, the app won’t load on my Motorola Droid. It just flashes black for maybe half a second, then returns to wherever I was previously. I suppose I’ll have to interact with the real world now until it’s fixed – scary.

Have you tried rebooting your phone first?
i have rebooted.. done a battery pull… airplane mode.. back to wi fi still nothing… it is truly a bummer to lose everything i’ve done.. and now not to be able to play at all anymore..
this is why I came here.. I have the exact same problem. I had 3 starred everything. then I updated to 1.6.1 and it wouldn’t open. After a few days I uninstalled and just tried some different games.. but, I missed it.. so i re enstalled it. Played fine.. was almost back to where I was before. And now it won’t open again… GRRRRRRRRR….. flashes black, goes to previous screen! I’ll be really really angry if I can’t get back at least to the second round. I was a beta tester for the first angry birds ever also… never had problems… and now seasons is so choppy, it’s not even fun. I think rovio is just too worried about making money than giving us a good game anymore. sad…
Sorry to hear you all are having these issues. If you’ve truly tried everything and just can’t get it to work then you may have no choice but to wait for the next update. Hopefully it fixes the issue once and for all. The last thing you want to do is uninstall and lose all your progress. Thanks for coming here. I wish we could magically solve your problem.
When will the next update be released? it still works on iphone and my partners samsung galaxy but it wont work on my Sony Ericsson Xperia
I honestly don’t know. I’m hoping soon, because there are still a decent number of issues that need to be addressed. If I catch wind of the update I will definitely post news about it.
02/11/2018. I have been trying every think but your game get to the numbers but when I press number 1 pig has refreash page dozen of times cleard catch deleted reinstalled and still the sam didn’t get to play halooween it’s so sad I have a error code 1123 if that means anythink please help
I’m in the diamond league and don’t want to go down in rank by the program not opening in the tournament mode. I can still do daily tournaments and play levels just not tournament mode.
I have an iPod touch 2nd gen device, AB cannot be run with the update vewrsion v.1.6.0 or v.1.6.1. Tried to enable or disable the wifi, log in or log out from the Game centre. The problem appeared even in previous version, with more stars gained, the problem happened more often, hope this help in debugging.
Have you tried turning on airplane mode, rebooting, then trying again?
Yes, I did try that before and still not work. More hints for you, I always play AB with wifi off, thus those achievement or star gain may not be sent to the network at once. I think when I play the AB with wifi on again, it will try to send out all these “saved” information to the Game centre or somewhere else, is it the root cause for the program to wait too long to think that it is running in trouble and terminate the program itself. (Or the limitation of the IOS API …)
ab’s summer picnic will play 1 level at a time in Airplane mode. At the conclusion of a level, HTC incredible advises “network connection lost” at which point I gotta de-activate airplane mode, re-launch the new level, then re-activate airplane mode. App designers won’t collect as much advertising income if gamers “airplane out” of the ads. Not surprising that they’d eventually find a way to force us to see their annoying ads. It was fun while it lasted, to.

I have a 2nd gen iPod and my mighty eagle still works it takes awhile for the game to load and that kinda gets on my nerves
Can’t access ANY of my angry birds apps!! Just get a black screen and then it goes back to my icons (using an 2nd gen iPod). I’ve tried all the suggested fixes (except deleting the game and starting over) but to no avail. Will I ever be able to play again??!?
I am also on a 2nd gen iPod touch and haven’t been able to open ab original at all since mine and dine updates. Seasons and rio both still work absolutely fine. Has anyone got any idea when or if there will be another fix. I think it is pretty harsh on all of us still using older hardware as we’re the ones who’ve been playing angry birds sine the very beginning and rovio don’t seem to be doing much to solve our problem.
We know Rovio is working on a second patch for the AB loading problem. It is not specific to the 2nd gen or anything. I’ve heard of iPhone 3Gs un-open-able.

I agree! I presume it’s more from the marketing aspect. All us AB addicts will play a new world for a few hours and master it. Then we have to wait another month for a new world to come out. One level a day keeps us focused on AB for longer not leaving it for other games. It is frustrating though. Also does it take a long time for your scores to add up each level on pic nic? Mine takes several seconds. My other worlds do not do that. I’m giving up on Smash Manic, been playing since first app came out and no acheivement. Gotta be a bug.
I know its a different platform, but just updated Symbian to 1.6.0 and have lost ALL progress, all 3* and all golden eggs upto Mine and Dine, which i now have, but can’t access as all levels are locked again!!
Also updated Rio at same time, also have now only first 2 chapters loaded, thankfully, 3* and fruit completed still there, but missing the other chapters which were all also completed fully!! When is symbian 1.6.1 out?!?!
Will it get me my progress back?

v1.6.1 broke my Angry Birds!! It won’t open now at all! I was a beta tester back when this started, I’d finished every level… I thought something went wrong when I downloaded that last update, so I uninstalled and reinstalled… Pissed that I had to start over, but did anyway… Was maybe 1/4 of the way back and now it won’t open again!! I have an Android (original, non-rooted) phone. Please Rovio, quit worrying about the money you are making for a moment, and fix the issue. I am not the only one. Come on!
I must ask that you do not use all caps. I understand your frustration, but it doesn’t do any good to use all caps.
Next, uninstalling an app always deletes its corresponding data. It even gives you a warning of that when you go to uninstall.
Rovio is aware of the loading issue and (with the next update due any day) I assume they have a fix therein. Rovio is very involved in their customer service and have been very open and sympathetic about the issue, as seen on their Twitter account. This error had nothing to do with making money; it was an honest coding mistake that effected somewhere around 25% of users — both iOS and Android alike.
i updated my phone through internet and lost everything but when i reinstalled angry birds it worked again just had to start from beginning again but i dont care i can play it now :)
After the last update I can’t get Angry Birds, Angry Birds RIO, or Angry Birds Seasons to load on my iTouch. I tried dumping them and re-installing and still no dice. Very frustrating because I love the games. Now I can’t play them at all. This happened to me once before after an update and I re-installed and it worked. This time that wasn’t enough to fix it. Any advice?
Is it an old iPod Touch? Are you low on space?
downloaded the latest angry birds Rio but when I try to get on the first level I keep getting kicked out of the game I have tried to restart the game but nothing happens

We have advice about this issue in the 2nd paragraph on the Rio v1.3.0 update page.
You should not delete your app under any circumstances, lest you will lose all your data.
I just installed the “paid” version of AB Seasons on my iPod Touch 2. It doesn’t load. I see other comments about other games with loading issues – back in July. This is November and it was a new app. Why are there still issues?
Does everyone have this issue or is it just me, and if everyone has this issue, why is it on the market?

angry birds on the htc wildfire i was nearly at the end of it when it crashed and i uninstalled it now i have tried to re install it throught android market it installs but when i try and fire the birds they go to the left off screen not towards target i tried redoing it again and same problem

Just got an iPhone. NEVER hadso many problems downloading AB. Have used AB on my kindle fire for about six months with no problems, no updates, nothing. It is seamless. What is the problem?

purchased the mighty eagle but when i go to use him/her it says pay once, unlimited use. when i go to shopping trolley it says i have already purchased the eagle. I purchased it through the phone i am playing on Samsung ace any ideas on a fix for this please?

Hi, I just purchased the paid version (after tapping on the x next to the in-game ad banner), but the ads won’t go away. When I try doing the same thing, it just goes to the Google Play store and says, “You have already purchased this item, or the purchase is still pending”.
I bought the paid version of Angry Birds AND the mighty eagle at the SAME TIME. The eagle works, the ads-free doesn’t. I tried restarting my phone to no avail. Will this problem fix itself? By that, I mean will the “pending” payment go through eventually if I wait patiently?

The transaction could be pending (waiting to clear). If the situation doesn’t clear in the next day or two, contact Rovio and Google Play.
That was my first assumption, but if that’s actually the case, it’s strange how the Eagle add-on payment cleared immediately, whereas the Ad-Free payment didn’t.
Oh well, I’ll take it up with Rovio and Google Play in future. Thanks again :)
Ever since the upgrade of the Back to School game – I have not been able to get ANY of my Angry Birds games to load — Space, Rio, etc. The only one that loads is the Free version which I kept out of sheer laziness – just never deleted it. I haven’t been able to play since the upgrade a couple of weeks ago. What gives?

Since other games are affected, it is likely an issue with your device.
Try to clear your multi task bar and restart your device, that might help.
Had AB go installed on my Samsung galaxy 10 tab in December 2013. Jan 2014- Tab broke and got a new one, trying to re-install AB go on the new tab and the google play app is saying that it’s not compatible with this device!! help please! Just tried again this morning (jan 20 2014), still not compatible
