We all know this simple equation: Angry Birds + Crunchy Cheesy Goodness = Yum! Given that, it should come as no surprise to see, Angry Birds Cheetos, a brand new Angry Birds Flash mini-game built around — you guessed it — Cheetos. There’s just one catch. Angry Birds Cheetos is in Turkish, so for this English speaking American it’s a bit tough to decipher (note: anyone can play). That said, I’ll do my best.
Before I go into the details, I would love access to the “locked” levels, so if someone has codes they want to share — or an account I can access — please contact me.
Like most of the other Angry Birds web games you need to login to play. In this case it looks like you can either login via Facebook or create an account by entering your email address and a password. Once you’ve done that you’re ready to fling. Game play, as well as other details, are as follows:
- There are three levels available for anyone to play and five levels that can be unlocked using credits. You earn credits by entering passwords found on specially marked promotional packages of Frito-lay chips. Each “password” will give you a random number of credits.
- It costs one credit per play of a “prized level”.
- There are some great prizes and awards for top flingers — both daily and all-time — however,
it’s unclear ifthey’re only available for those residing in Turkey. The competition runs through 30 June. After that, it is not clear if the app will be discontinued, or if users will have unlimited free access to all levels (à la Pistachios). - While there is no Mighty Eagle in Angry Birds Cheetos, there are exploding packages of Cheetos which can be used to raise one score. Flinging a Cheetos package will cost you 3 credits on “prized levels” per use. (Happily, Cheetos packages are free on the free levels.) You can detonate a Cheetos package while it’s in the air to send a destructive Cheetos flying in all directions.
- Unlike the previous web versions there are virtual badges that can be obtained and shared with friends. The complete list of badges are (translated as best I could from Turkish):
- “Attention Beginner”: Angry Birds Cheetos played for the first time.
- “Bounty hunter”: Complete all sections.
- “Game Addict”: Angry Birds Cheetos played 100 times.
- “Score”: 10 million points.
- “Big Star”: 3 Starred all levels.
As of now that about does it. We do have walkthroughs available for the first three Cheetos levels. If you have the others unlocked please contact us ASAP. Lastly, for those unfamiliar with the Angry Birds web based mini-games of yore you might want to check these out:
A big thanks to @Dr-Omega for tipping us off about this in the forum.
lol, you can throw cheetos at the pigs.
I’d think they would enjoy it!
Exploding Cheetos? I may never buy another bag after this!!! :-)
Very tricky, exploding Cheetos. Maybe it will be meteors. Pigs avoid this. Funny.
how likely do you think it is, that rovio makes a small app for all those minigames (pistachios, volvanos..) ? i would think it was a good idea! and i´d happily pay 79c for it! :)
That would be “THE IDEA” :-)
There are some nice grand prizes available! I’m waiting for the game to load and I’ll try it out during lunch, maybe I’ll get some Cheetos :).
Tyrkisk Peber was more exiting, but this one is defiantly more smooth. I wish they’d add back the victory music in ABO like they did here…
Yeah, winning just feels empty without it. :(
I want to Play on iOS :-(
I have no credit and i launched the cheeto pack like 6 times. i used in each level to help me three star them all
Hey, I see you are using the Easter Hatchling avatar I made! Nice!!
No i thank you doctor omega you are AWESOME
Wow cool your an admin on angry birds wiki
eh.. not really..
why not? isnt it cool to be an admin?
Open source = open frustration.
so its not fun to be admin?
Agreed. Plus I was made Admin after I notified that I had already left..
Will the chips with the codes be available everywhere or just in Turkey?
Likely just Turkey (and maybe the surrounding areas).
A few things on this game –
1) A lot of the basic menus are in English with their Turkish translations if you view the source code of the page, so that might help with translations
2) I use Firefox and it works fantastic. Most of the others are Chrome only and chug really slowly on my system, so whatever coding they are using on this version, it works great in FF 12.0.
The same with Chrome, a lot faster and smoother than the previous web versions.
Awesome! No codes, though. :( I live in the UK.
Where do we find it?
There’s a link up above, second sentence.
Thank you so much!
When will there be a UK one!? *sigh* Guess I can dream!
Are we to assume this is one of the five AB related games coming out this year, making it the the second one released and third announced? (Space, Cheetos, and F1, announced a couple of months back) :)
Not according to the news we had.
But I’m pretty sure something will be released with the olympics.
Of course, I’m just speculating :P
We aren’t sure. Per our original post, our guess is that web-apps are not included in the list. Our guess is based on the context of the interview, where the Mighty Eagle says that Rovio released one app last year (Rio), so that did not include the web-apps (Pistachio, Volcano, …).
Just our guess.
great! but what I don’t like is that you have to sign in. Is this confident?
All Rovio’s games are subject to their Privacy Policy I believe you are authorizing the game to send you e-mails, I don’t think it’s too much else! :)
It uses Facebook, but didn’t post anything to Facebook for me. It did sent me a thank you e-mail in Turkish though..
Will there be one in Australia?
yeah im aus aswell that would be so cool :)
I know this is a stupid question, but how do you play? All I get is a video that shows the gameplay.
Not a stupid question. You have to login first.
Ok, from what I’m seeing, you have to log in from facebook, right?
Or you can create an account by entering your user name and password (all this is written in the post above BTW).
I don’t see a place to register, only a place to log in.
When I registered with Facebook, I got a login screen that says: “Facebook Hesbinla Baglanti Kur” which means “Connect with Facebook” (Google Translate)
Click the second box to play the game, the first one just opts you in to “take part in future Cheetos”
Also, you seem to be able to use the “cheeto bag” every time you play, not with credits.
Love the credits. :)
FYI – there is an amusing Pig group shot sitting amongst a mound of cheese in the game credits, too..
The irony with this one is, if they are so hungry, why waste time with eggs when you have cheese and Cheetos surrounding you?
Cholesterol?!?? :=)
LOL. Eggs are super high in cholesterol. Probably moreso than cheese..
Maybe they have low cholesterol! Eggs are healthier too, but I’ve never known a pig to watch her weight
At least you got the gag, so that’s good. However, all thing being equal, I’d probably consider eggs to be a healthier food than a processed cheese snack.
too bad i don’t have a facebook account
According to BL you don’t need a FB account, but I’m not finding any other way to register.
I bet that if somebody knew Turkish, we could decipher it and figure out how to register.
Google chrome comes with an automatic translator so I understand everything they’re saying, but I can’t find any place to register.
yeah google chrome helpeed me registerafter registering they redirected me to this link
https://www.cheetos-angrybirds.com/game?isnewlyregistered=true
try if it works for you without registering
(@blahalb09 I do not have Google Chrome.
Can you provide a short description of how the translator works and the process of finding it on Chrome? I first would have to get Chrome. Where do I go after that?
Does one have to bring the game up first then the translator?
Does the automatic translator convert the Turkish screen to English or does one have to go to another screen?
I have also never used a translator on the computer. I know little about this subject material. Thanks
@wrw01 After you get chrome, go to “Web Content” and “Translate in options (wrench->options->under the hood->Web Content/Translate)and select your language(if it is not English). Then, make sure the checkbox labeled “Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read”. If you go onto a site that has a different language than your default language, Google Chrome will ask you if you want the page translated. There are 3 options: Translate, Nope, or Always Translate This Language. If you select translate, Google Chrome will translate all text on that page to your default language. The translator is a bit inaccurate though, but it’s good enough so that you can understand it.
@blahalb09 Hi blahalb09, Thank you so much. I am going to print this and save it for when I am finished with Space and give it a try. Some of what you present is like “Greek” because I have no knowledge of chrome, translate, etc. But will give it my best shot. That would be cool to play AB game from a different language.
Thank you again, wrw01
And out of all the junk F-U-D available to us, CHEETOZZZZZ have always been my favorite! Years ago, a friend saved the UPC codes and mailed ’em in for a T-shirt. Back then, THAT was cool!! I wanted one but the campaign WUZ over, WHAH!!
Need to go shopping anyway . . . I’ll check to see if there is some kinda campaign going on. WOW!! Love dem Cheetozzz and of course, ANGWEE BOYDZ!!
Man, don’t know Turkish but managed to “figure” [LOL] out how to “get in” and play and it was fun. Only 3 levels and even used the “Eagle Cheetos Bag” ;>)).
Can’t tell ya how I got in, just kept filling out email & PW and somehow, found the “back door” Hope I didn’t open up a “door” to malware or adware.
But it was fun, anyway.
when i went to the site a random video starts playing .do we have to register for playing it?
Bit of trivia.. this is actually the second AB game that Chester Cheetah is in. He shows up for one level of the Pepsi Vuela Tazos game..
Cool but it could be awesome if it wasn’t a flash game.
Cool! But I hope Rovio can put all mini games in one app called “Angry Birds Mini-Games”!
In this case, i wish Hungary was still part of the Ottoman Empire, so I could buy those promotional packages.
A little unrelated but Angry Birds hit 1 billion downloads!
Good eyes. Our post is almost finished, but the 1 billion downloads is not the apex ;)
How or where do you get angry birds Cheetos and do you need Cheetos to get it
This is explained in the post.
There’s a link in the second sentence, as is the answer to your second question, but I’ll paraphrase here: The first free levels are available to all. The other 5 are only available to people who obtain codes via packets of cheetos but only i Turkey. I’m 99% sure they will be freely available in time though – Pistachios, Vuela Tazos and the rest have all followed this pattern! :)
The Cheetoes bag explosion is a cool addition to the game. Too bad the additional 5 levels need codes.
Anyone know where all these online versions are hosted? Only issue I have had with this, is that the lag reminds me of the old 9600 baud days… some of the levels are just deadly slow to respond. Even on a 20Mb connection, the birds move across the screen like watching a second hand move on a clock.
Other than that.. these are pretty fun levels, and yeah.. Laurence mentioned, hopefully it will not be too long before we all can unlock and play the rest of the levels.
This edition has Turkey as a target market.
Your reply had nothing.. nothing to do with my question or comment. We all know this is a game intended for the Turkish community..
Relax, it only meant that the servers are likely to be in that region. I should have been more thorough in my answer.
Most of us experienced lag when playing Sakura Ninja for example.
Agreed! Sakura is even worse for me.. tho it wouldn’t really make sense to host AB Cheetos in Turkey, and AB SN in in Japan lol!
Wow this is cool. Kinda related to Vuela tazos
