Our strategy for Angry Birds Birdday Party (Birthday Party) Cake 4 level 8 is to bomb the lower structure while ricocheting into the left upper structure. The falling stones should detonate the TNT below, clearing all nearby pigs. Then target the bridge with a Yellow bird, or the TNT there if the bridge is protected by stone. The score in the video below is 157,630.

I’ve been doing exactly the same as in the video here, but there’s a problem. The level finishes up before all the rubble has fallen, so I don’t get all my points :-( Anyone else experience this?

Possible to get a 1 birder on this level. It’s pure luck though. Have to bomb like the video and hope the white bird’s body pushes some stone to the right side igniting that TNT.

Definitely the most challenging so far of this Release. I managed an incredibly lucky 1-birder on Android phone for 162720 & it’s my only 3* so far. One or two other 1-birders were in the 140s & low 150s. I wish I had something to add that would help anyone who’s stuck, but it really was “L.”

1 bird, White bird on a gentle arc,over the first structure, dropping egg between pigs, so it shoots right, pushes the upper columns, into the TNT. Which inturn send debris over the right side, exploding theh round TNT’s.

Note: This could take a few attempts to achieve in one shot. Upper TNT is very finicky. Interesting level!! 165k

162730 with 2. Like the video, but angled yellow down so it went straight through the wood and also through all the TNTs.

This one should be the “hardest” in this 4th birdday version. Tried about 20 times for the 3-star.

Just can’t stop loving this game. Can’t believe this is the 4th year now.

I am sure many here are like me – 3-star for every possible level on iOS for all AB games!!!!

Here’s a thing. I had just fired off the first bird when the bottom left structure started to collapse all by itself. It was falling to the right. I wasn’t in time to stop the release of the egg so I have no idea what would have happened. Since then I have noticed that this structure often leans over to the left. Perhaps this is why it’s so difficult to score on because we are not beng patient enough.

Here’s a new strat for this level which seems to work very well. One bird only.

Aim at a 45 deg angle, downwards, and drop the egg so that the carcass shoots up into the top level. It should have enough force to explode the TNT and the resultant fallout will take care of the lower level. Picture below for 165k.

@steviep147 — Thanks for the tip on self-destruction and the high-scoring strat. Can’t really see the trajectory on your pic. Where does the bird hit the upper structure? I’ve only seen the upper TNT blow once. In the meantime, I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many stone blocks land so softly on TNT.

PS. Just keep at it. It’s surprising how often the TNT does blow. Aim to get the carcass somewhere in the vicinity indicated. I think there is an element of luck involved!

If you haven’t read it, you should look at what I posted in the self-destruction forum. Can’t remember another level that had so many modes.

The piggy engineers for this level obviously did too much partying! Many modes of self-destruction from 2K to 66K, but requires a lot of patience. See forum on self-destroying levels:

One-birder. Slightly higher trajectory and carcass slammed into the lower part of the grey bricks rather than the blue glass upright. Lucky result as I must have tossed essentially the same first shot about 200 times, with about 95% needing second shot to clear the right structure and yielding scores in the high 150s. Did not notice any structural wobbling.

I finally got the 1 bird score I was hoping for. After committing to the 1 bird strat mentioned above for countless #’s of try’s I was convinced the only way to get over the 165k mark is with one bird.. But one bird doesn’t guarantee anything. Using the strategy of slamming the white bird into the stone stack to get the top TNT to blow and getting the nessasary fallout to the left and destroy the lower structure.. It’s a lucky shot but you will get the results if you keep at it. I must have gotten 10 one bird results before getting the good score I was looking for. (168830).. Most of the 1 bird scores I got before that we’re less than my best 2 bird score of 161800.. Many of the 1 bird scores were under 150k?!!

After a couple of low score 1 birders I went back to the 2 bird method in the video with one minor change.
First bird as video.
Second bird aim for the left corner of the wood that paper hat pig is resting on.
Get it right and the TNT will drop through the gap destroying all below.
Not a very high score, but a reliable way to get over average.
It got me 162010 after 5 attempts.

There’s an invisible line that separates amusement and torture. At best this level straddles the line, and in all likelihood is firmly rooted on the torture side.

These comments concern the PC version. It’s hard to tell what the unused bird bonus should be because it’s computed before the ‘dust’ has settled. I’ve had two scores of 155K+ that left me doubting the bonus arithmetic. These were both two birders that left only a small piece of plank and the bottom layer of the TNT cakes. More than once I had what looked like perfect trajectories out of the sling with the yellow (2nd) bird, and clicking on the mouse either failed to accelerate the bird or paused the level. In the latter case, continuing the level guaranteed the bird would be wasted. Please don’t suggest my system or its drivers are the problem. They aren’t!

Good grief – I just got top score, by doing nothing other than what I’ve been doing for 3 days, which is flinging the first bird just as the video. The white bird bounced just right, hit the pig with paper hat, went through the board, and the TNT fell through and got everything. Will upload a picture of the score to my album and add a link. I honestly cannot believe this!

Very similar as Annem302. White bird did the trick. I have found a two birder will bring 161K, with the right breakage. But finally a decent score after several one birders. I lost many my scores as I had a defective cord that was not backing up my scores to pc. (From Dec of 13 to May of 14) Same cord I moved to another location ( not knowing it was a dud) Ipad went dead, bought a new Ipad then found out it was the chord. A Duh moment for sure. So I am redoing. ;-(

Also a better/easier way of the egg bird is: fly low and drop egg at the gap towards where first TNT is. Right after the pig who has VLC player on his head.
