Same 1st shot as video. Fallout was different. nest 2 shots were different from video!! Only used 3 birds. 234k
1-birder for 247k. I aimed higher than the video, to the brick above that blue thingy. Nearly every thing fell, most of what remained was the very left column. I probably should have taken that out with a second bird, but decided not to gamble.
I hereby dub this the “pachinko-bird” strategy!
I found a sweet spot below the ledge on my first shot and took out most of the left side for 177K. Second shot was simple to get the structure hanging over the ledge and the right side for a final score of 249K. Left scattered debris in about four spots.
That was the only time I found the sweet spot after hundreds of tries. The video shot looks much easier to score high points. Might give it a go tomorrow and see what is possible.
Thanks @birdmeister for the sweet spot advice. I can’t seem to get the second shot straight. Could you pass on some hints?
There are various ways to handle the second shot depending on the amount of damage. I think the mosti critical point is to get the top structuce to topple to the right. I aim for the small stone block about half way up that is to the left of the wood ledge. But sometimes that isn’t possible with Matilda and has to be handled by YB.
After many attempts, I did finally manage 153k by aiming for @birdmeister‘s sweet spot slightly below the horizontal slab. Imagine scraping the top of the bird’s head on the slab.
I came back to try for more points, but was tired of throwing the same old shot, so tried looking for another “sweet spot” What do you know, I found one! This time I aimed for the bottom of the column, as though I am going directly for those little blue bottles. This more reliably takes out the lower left side. 157k so far.
@bonneypattycat, this level is proving to be the most difficult BD5 level for me. I’ve been trying all the strats here along with a bunch I developed on my own, but I can’t get past 253K. I found the sweet spot in the lower column that you mentioned, and that did take care of a lot of the left side, but what do you do for your second shot? I guess I have the same question for @birdmeister as well. Despite your clarification, I still am not sure which stone you are referring to. Thanks for all the help!
Not the highest score but a fairly repeatable 2 bird strat. Aim the red bird so that it just gets over the first wall and hits the pig with the magnifying glass. With a bit of luck it will carry on through and damage the next wall and set off the sparkly tnt. Then use the white bird to finish off.
hit square stone to left of monocoled pig (far leftisded one)…. biggy red entered sweet spot with likness of a possum thru greased culvert… and it all fell down.
@apaulling, I’m pretty sure that’s just about what I experienced for my 247970, except it took a 2nd shot. It’s my only 3* score & I got lucky with it. This level, 30-7 & 30-15 had been my last to 3*.
When you say sweet spot, do your remember where that was? Was it the junction of the rectangular stone & stone plank or below that ?
dead on to face of square stone (x=y)….target sone has tiny stone chip sitting atop, i believe….. took long time for far right overhang to drop, i actually was seconds from sending next birdy that way—- lucckily the mini-tower above\left of overhang fell right, desabilizing overhang dwelling. cool socks 4 me
@apaulling ,I was going to post a new strat, but noticed yours is the same. Mine was with two birds though. First bird like your first, but it only took out the left side. Second dropping the egg on remaining debris and flying up to to pig with clipboard. At times first red bird diverts up into second level and takes out left side, but leaves a lot of debris untouched. Other times it goes low into blue explosives, takes out the left side, leaving very little debris. My ~262K was with the low route.
@moondoggie, could you elaborate on the red bird shot and what you mean by “low route”? I have been heaving red through the square block, and if I hit it just right he cuts through to the wood platform just above the explosives, then drops down to detonate them. Is this the “low route” you describe? Usually it leaves a lot of left side debris when I do it.
The low route is through the two lowest pigs, under the little ledge holding the horizontal plank, straight into the explosives. There seems to be better destruction when the bird goes very low.
@jrsquonk
I also throw the first bird a little lower than described above. More towards the bottom of the square stone where it meets the triangle stone.
Thanks @moondoggie! I managed to figure this out yesterday, complete with the slightly lower aiming. I line up Terry’s bottom just a pixel or two above the white horizontal line in the background. Terry goes through herky-jerky, not like a knife through butter, and this gets a lot more damage done. This is the only way I have managed to get anything north of 255K.
@moondoggie, finally got it after weeks of trying. Mucho thanks!
Nice score!
I need help. strategy and sweet spot similar to @birdMeister, only needed 2 birds, scored 257990 (have the screen shots to prove), but when trying to enter score, am told it is 2 high! I could appreciate the help to enter.
@tfhusker Your score has been added and our max_score threshold has been raised for this level.

Thank you
Well done. Can we see the shots please please please.
259,180, two birds. Same stat as tfhusker, more fallout.
267630 with 2 birds.
I did not find the sweet spot on the small square stone, so I tried the low route as described by @moondoggie.
Here is the trajectory for the first bird.
I had a few one-birders but not with really high scores.
Here is the result after the first bird for by best score run.
The second bird is then high and triggered so that the carcass hits directly the explosive cube.
This is the result after the second bird and the highscore screenshot.
Hopefully a very, very lucky one-birder might bring a 270k+ score…
Hope it helps.
Thanks for the strat,@asher! I never got the set up that you got after the first bird, but I was able to improve my score by 2K. A few notes…I got over 261K twice with three birds, so that tells you what the potential is here.
The sweet spot in the middle of the left tower is indeed there, but it is VERY small. So small that differences in initial setup after resetting have an effect. Therefore, the same exact first shot will work…sometimes. Some aiming tips…lower Terence such that his left eyebrow (his left, on your right) just disappears behind the sling band. This will put you very close to the sweet spot. From there you may need to adjust a pixel or two.
problem with youtube to upload
2-birder 257610

256250/2. Desperately close to a 1 birder using the first shot as @comex666. Have to keep trying now.
264k one bird, same shot as everyone – maybe easier now or just lucky
