One strategy for Angry Birds Bad Piggies level 23-9 is to Blue bird towards the hanging wooden wheel. Split before impact so that at least one bird finds its way to the far right pig, while the other birds push the wheel to the right. It should roll down towards the bottom pig in the cave. Then use a second bird to clear any remaining pig. The score in the video below is 75,860.

I doubt that I will have top score for long. It took me for ever to get past 1 *, so I didn’t even think that I might get top score. First shot pretty much like video, but I think I managed to take out all pigs on right, so I only had to get rid of left pig on second shot. Maybe @cbird2796 was paying better attention.

Hi @mvnla2, it was a completely flukey one-birder. First shot as per the video and suddenly everything was collapsing all around me!I see I’ve lost the top score now though.

Same strat as video, but lots of collapse up top and the yellow wrench was destroyed as well. What hit the wrench, I don’t know.

Phew, just managed to get above average, for now, lol – this being only my second attempt, and I got the golden wrench!
I don’t honestly remember how I got it, I was using the video strat and I think a block from the far towers fell down the hole. I’ve been trying to improve my score since then, and so far, no repeat of any falling blocks or additional golden wrench points, so I’m guessing the ‘L’ factor must have played heavily in my getting it when I did. :)

Seems I’ve just been flinging for hours to try and improve my score for no reason; avg back at 73165.

Now I’m aware that many members must be playing these levels, what I don’t understand is why the average score is changing so frequently, as in every hour or so. I’ve replayed at least 4 levels now to get above avg again only to find that the avg has dropped, so perhaps someone could explain to me the reason for this, what’s going on please?

@leggy, my good friend, there’s really nothing to be alarmed at. There’s a simple explanation for this fluctuation that you’ve noticed while watching the ups and downs of this average score: mathematics. Well, to be precise, it’s that New Math everyone’s chattering about these days. In the olden days, back when I was just a calf, we were taught how to compute an average (also known as the “mean”) without the use of these fancy-shmancy calcu-lamajators aka no-armed bandits. We didn’t need no expensive Microsoft Particle Excel-lerator Spreadsheet gizmos, either. In theory, calculating an average is one of the easiest to solve problems in math. The numbers (scores) in the problem have to be added together and then divided. As of the time of this posting there were 162 scores posted for this level, with the highest being 84900 and the lowest at 48010 for an average of 73162. Let’s multiply 73162 by 162 to get the sum of all posted scores, or 11,852,244. If the next person to post their score were to have matched my pitiful effort on this level – 68670 – let’s see what effect that has on our current average: (11,852,244 + 68670) / 163 = 73134. The average, or mean, dropped 28 points after just one mediocre score was added. My educated guess is that once this level has been live for more than just three days, we will see hundreds of more scores added to this Leaderboard, at which time the fluctuation in average will become just a point or two either way. Until then, I suggest you keep doing your best on these levels and ignore the current mean as it is likely to fluctuate quite a bit. Hope this made some sense. Aloha.

After trying a lot of shooting at the wooden wheel I got a full score with one bird:
– Shoot against the wooden wheel, a little bit on the top. Just in front of it you split so the bottom bird hit the barrel/wheel. The other two will go on top and demolish on the right side. If you are lucky – all can go down in one bird. Score 80.790.

This was one of the toughest levels EVER. Glad it’s over and thanks for the tips but the one birdie still eludes me however, the video worked….eventually!

You can see ~180 degrees of the hanging wheel from the launch platform, and one of them is the sweet spot. The choice of trajectory and when to divide increases the odds against overwhelmingly. If you get lucky, and get all three right, you’ll get a one-birder. My score was 83950. My tip is persistence. There are too many variables to explain a specific strategy, other than hitting wheel very much like first shot in video, and tinkering with split times in blue bird’s flight path.

A key consideration is where the wheel lands. If hit head-on, it is likely to disintegrate in the air. Ditto if it lands on the topmost point of the ice ramp. It has to land just below and to the right, to propel the cement block onto left pig while still being far enough to the right to avoid being stuck in the gap just below the top section of ice ramp.

I don’t know if this shot could be repeatable. I’ll concede that blind luck after 50+ tries was a major factor.

Was able to obtain a one bird solution in the same manner as @desox mentioned. One just has to keep fling’n at the round wood disc and then AB’s magic happens. Everything is destroyed. Scored 78,010 with the one bird.

The great thing about this level is that if one misses with the one bird solution you can always try to complete the level with two birds which made it fun to play. It is just a win-win solution. Did it very much like the video but had greater damage with both wrenches destroyed (gold one by flying debris) and good damage on the right side.

I’ve had a lot of luck in shooting the first blue bird so that it gets the wheel swaying but doesn’t cut the line. The birds then kill a lot of the lower pigs. Then you use the 2nd blue bird to cut the line to get the wheel rolling and kill the upper right pig and any leftover. Tried the video shot many many times, but most of the time my wheel just falls straight down and doesn’t roll down the triangle. With this strategy you can time it easier to ensure that the line is cut when the wheel is over the triangle so it rolls down.

after 14 hours to find the right point for the TOP-ONE BIRDER.
similar the video, activate earlier.
see, what needs to happen.
after activate, one bird kill the pig in front or the glass under the pig.
one bird destroy the glass behind the first pig (right from it)
the wheel fall to the right and roll to the lowermost pig.
and the other bird fly to the right pig (behind the stone, left from the pig) kill it and the tower fall to the left.
