The Mighty Eagle has finally come to Angry Birds Rio (v1.3.3)! Everything appears to be working now, but the update is making its way around the world, so if you have trouble purchasing it check back a bit later. Some users have had more success trying to purchase the Mighty Eagle from within a level than from the home screen, so give it a shot.
Some information about the v1.3.3 update:
- A separate In-App Purchase is required to obtain the Mighty Eagle in Angry Birds Rio. In other words, if you already purchased him in Angry Birds Classic and/or Seasons, you will have to purchase it again in Rio. In my humble opinion this is to be expected as these are separate apps.
- It seems the 3-star minimum for Carnival Upheaval 8-5 has been raised. It was previously 65,000, but now I have 1 star at 78,000. Rovio did respond to our inquiry saying, “Yeah. That Carnival level limit is not correct. Will be fixed. Sorry about that”. If anyone can find the new limit we are curious (note, it may be impossible).
- New Mighty Eagle related achievements
- If a user can let us know if the Stellarvore bug has been fixed, that would be great.

Any chance to to have mighty Eagle in my version Symbian of Angry Birds Rio? Why is just for iOS?

I have a third-party, Chinese-made Android tablet; I was just wondering when– or if the Mighty Eagle will come out for my device?
I can’t say anything specific about your device, since I’m not sure if the third-party aspect would affect anything. But Rovio indeed wants to bring the Mighty Eagle to the Android Market in some fashion.
P.S. My tablet runs Android 2.2 FroYo.
Has anybody else noticed in the setting menu of the updated Amazon Marketplace that you can now enable in-app purchases. It sounds like the Mighty Eagle might not be far away:

You should check the App Store on your NOOK, but I don’t believe these levels are available for NOOK yet.

I’m surprised that we haven’t seen the Mighty Eagle available yet through Amazon App Store, which, by the way, is set up to handle in-app pirchases.
It is set up that way by default in the App Store app. Caught me somewhat unaware, but it’s there and it does work.
So how about it, Rovio?
I think that they raised the limit in Carnival Upheaval 8-5 to about 90,000 – 95,000 points.
Doesn’t matter anymore, they changed it back. Out of curiosity, how do you know?
I know they have returned it to 65,000, but I am saying what i think it was before they changed it back.
I updated my angry birds rio and still I can’t see any option to buy the mighty eagle. Please help!
What device are you using? The Mighty Eagle is only available for Rio on iOS devices.
