This strategy ended up giving me the best results. 139,740. I found that hitting the top pile near the bottom, just over the first small square stone block, provided the best results…but I think it just takes a lot of attempts.

1st toward the small square block on the north pile, inflate before impact so it pushes as much as possible into the geiser.
2nd in between the 2 pigs close to each other on the south pile, again inflate before impact so it pushes all to the side.

Got lucky with both crystals, thanks @traneric.

Great strat @traneric! I got my best score exactly like @z0z0 described, inflating just before contact of the small stone for the first bird to push everything towards the geyser and having a piece of stone get the top crystal and second bird also just before impact bewteen the little piggys at the bottom ;-) I got the bottom cyrstal too ;-) I really like this level! It was fun instead of tortuous like some of the other in Red Planetlevels ;-)

Thanks for the details @z0z0. I had been aiming the first shot higher and not having much luck but once I focused on the small square block I saw how it wiped out much more of the top and right side debris. Got both crystals and not much debris left. I improved from 137k to 143k.

Wow, I’m surprised by the comments from people who don’t like this level. I thought it was fun, even if it was a bit unpredictable. Then again, I’ve hated many levels that other people love. . .go figure.

I think my aiming points are slightly different from any others that are described here. I’m posting them hoping someone will find them useful.

The trick with the first bird, I think, is to get the TNT into the big ball ‘o glass and pigs, but that is easier said than done. Depending upon where you hit, and when you expand the OB, the TNT may or may not get to the target. I had the best luck when I aimed slightly left of the small stone block–in the little nook between that square and the rectangular stone piece. Expand immediately upon contact. If noticed if I expanded too late, the TNT would detonate without moving.

I aimed the second OB directly at the lower pig in the bottom pile, and expanded when it made contact with the stone triangle. This shot is much more forgiving than the first, especially if there are no pigs remaining from the glass pile.

I hope this helps any one who is struggling with this level!

I’m with you @DocTonyNYC. There are three small square stone blocks on the north of the planet. On shot #1 I aimed at the center one, which has basically the same effect as your shot. I also found that timing the expansion of OB was key to getting the TNT into the ball of glass. Just as you, I aimed shot # 2 at the lower pig.

Once I started putting these two shots together I saw increasing damage and scores. Chalk me up as enjoying this level.

Good flinging, everyone!

I didn’t check this walkthrough until someone asked me for some help. But, I got my score using the exact same strat as @z0z0. I was fully zoomed out. The second bird needs to be flung as soon as possible.

1st toward the small square block on the north pile, inflate before impact so it pushes as much as possible into the geiser.
2nd in between the 2 pigs close to each other on the south pile, again inflate before impact so it pushes all to the side.

My strategy for Red Planet 19 was to aim bird at top pile of debris and “blow up” bird BEFORE it hit, giving the denris a gentle push into steam streams without blowing the TNT box. Then immediateylau.ch second bird netween two pigs at bottde debris pile and “blowing up” bird i. A way to give maximum force into stream. This caused second debris field to intersect previous field eith TNT, allowi.g TNT tl explode where it could cause maxim damage. Completed level in two shots with score of 139410. Good luck!
