128770 with 2 birds. Immediately shoot the red bird over the flaming things. Goal is to have swinging stone ball know over the far right tower and and end up taking out all the pigs on the right side. Yellow bird down to set off the TNT and hope to take out the rest of the pigs and get lots of debris damage too.

@dmsral,
Thanks for the great strat. I was able to get 144k with 2 birds. First one just like you described. I had about 83k after first bird.
Second bird almost straight down to take out the tnt. I got very good fall out. I just hung on to the 3rd bird for 10k bonus

@dmsral Your strategy just got me 154K. I don’t know the score from the first bird because I fired both birds rapidly after eachother, but it must have been well over 90K. There was a lot of wood falling in the lava, the entire right side went and some of the left, along with both boulders and all the skulls. Luckily the left tnt decided to blow this try, I found this to be a very unreliable shot and no angle seems to give good odds for ignition, but when it does happen it will give you a good overall score.

I took 2 screenshots because I imagine especially the top flingers will want to see proof of such a score:

Notice the glowing skull from the left structure still being intact, so even 157K was possible.

@dmsral, it looks like we both found this 1st shot, but very differnt timing.

When I looked there were no comments, so I came up with this:

Alternate 2-birder for lower scoring 3* of 108500, but if you’re having trouble with 1st shot in video & simply want to 3*, this should (eventually) work.

1st shot, wait until ropes have swung all the way right & as they come back to the left, launch red to cut through both ropes. This takes out all 4 pigs on the bottom left. For this 108500, both TNT on bottom left exploded from the falling stones/debris, but this was only time I got both. If trajectory was correct, the bottom far right pig will be the last to go, but it’s not essential.

2nd shot, play with aim & hit base of far right structure. Falling debris will also take out pig trio. If the far right pig didn’t die with 1st shot, it’s often taken out with this shot.

10k bonus bird

My 121k was per Walkthrough.

Used 2-bird strategy as initially described by @dmsral – thanks for sharing it so early. For quite some time my results were below 140k – very frustrating. Then I almost got 150k, if far right pig had fallen (even more frustrating, when it did not that time). I came close to giving up (at least for today), but was staying with this level a little bit longer. And then it happened: 95k after 1st shot, 2nd shot down shook stone ball above TNT, which exploded, brought down left structure, debris fell down on 2nd TNT box, which let right structure tumble and everything fell to the right side, broke through the wooden (or bamboo?) bridge outrigger. As there was not so much debris left over, it might be challenging to get much higher scores. Go ahead, flingers!

@aki-van-emden That is an awesome score! I do believe it given that you’re a long time nester, but I still would have liked to see a screenshot of the remaining debris, just out of curiousity. This seems to be an odd level where massive points can be gained if you’re very lucky. I too was stuck at a mere 134K forever before I got 154 because the tnt rarely blows up. The left structure never fell into the lava for me but I can definitely see 10-15K coming from that.

You can see in the shadowy background of the screenshot some remains of my top score shot: on the small “lava island” lies one bongo, a few bamboo sticks, and a broken chain. On the left hand side you find a single stone block and a wood plank. As far as I remember, there was almost complete destruction of the structure on the far right (not covered by the screenshot). Hope, this helps. I guess, we will see more scores above 160k, once our fellow flingers concentrate on this level (or develop a lucky shot, as I did).

@aki-van-emden that is indeed an epic score! I only rarely got the right boulder to topple the right pedestal and then couldn’t get the left TNT to blow. So – lower score but a reliable 130k and occasional 140k by switching @dmsral‘s first two shots. Then I could be assured of blowing the left TNT before releasing the swinging boulders. I took yellow bird highish after just letting boulders start swinging right, then down thru ropes to lower part of pedestal.

However, I do not remember special details: first bird as described by @dmsral and trajectory of second one can be derived from my picture #14258 (see above). In the background of that screenshot pic you can see aiming direction plus acceleration point (immediately after slingshot release). The key of my success was that (somehow?) most of the hit structure fell through the bridge outrigger into the lava. It might be the case, that this has not happened to any other flinger so far. Wish you good luck and please send a message of success – would like to see somebody confirming my experience made here.

don’t have a great score myself (147450/2 , 25k behind the amazing and beautiful current top score), but since i didn’t see a picture of a trajectory for getting such a great (95k) first as described in the comments above, here’s one:

https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/vuelva/album/picture/14364/

i was aiming and releasing almost (but not quite) as fast as possible after level restart, making sure the bird misses the left swinging object and such that upon cutting its rope, that boulder crashes through the lower bamboo pieces of the right side of the bridge, enabling the right boulder to roll to the left later on (or is there another way to achieve that much destruction?).

unfortunately, i missed the 2nd shot as described in the comments above, each of the four times i got such a great 1st (not unexpectedly though as i get that 2nd only 1 in 5 to 10. got my current best of 147k after an 88k 1st. worth a revisit later on, but happy for the moment to have reached 5M in the Tropigal Paradise Episode).

I found a different strategy for a good score.
Bird 1: don’t try and rush the shot of hitting the ropes. Wait until the ropes swing left the second time, then just as they are starting right again, hit the rope above the left flaming thingy – red will bounce and end up tipping the far right voodoo pig to the left. Combination of red bird and/or boulder should take out all pigs to the right.

Bird 2: point yellow almost straight up, pulling sling back as far as you can without decreasing power. It should come down and take out one or both tiki torches just to the right of the remaining birds, but most importantly, take out the left support of the bridge that keep debris from falling into lava.

Bird 3: send Boomer into the left protected tnt and hope for an explosion. With no obstruction the debris should fall to the right into the lava for mucho points. I have much more luck getting explosions (about half the time) than trying to explode tnt with the yellow bird. GL

By to mock a mockingbird (@vuelva)

158090/3 with that 2nd and 3rd, but still using the original fast 1st of @dmsral .

finally was able to get some consistency on the 1st, by timing it such that the right boulder would just clip the top right structure and the left boulder would fall as vertically as possible through the right support of the bridge. to that end, i let the seat of the bird overlap between a third and half of the dot in the background (playing zoomed-out on ipad air) still releasing almost as fast as possible (if my first swipe/drag does not get the bird in exactly the right spot, i restart, as there’s not enough time for adjusting); in this way the right boulder bounces back a bit more to the left increasing the chances of it falling down hence of a good score; usually this 1st gets 75k+, frequently 82k+, and every 10 to 15 minutes (in my case) 90k+. but for a good score then i was really only paying attention to the destruction of the right side of the bridge, not to its left side as any material (e.g. the skulls) remaining there can be gotten by the combination of the 2nd (loosening its left side) and 3rd (falling on top of and then through it).

the 2nd i was shooting as pointed out by @waimea ,activating roughly when it crossed the trajectory of the 1st (using some stars in the background to activate a bit sooner or later, to compensate for small deviations in launch angle).

the 3rd i was shooting with its tail feather between the large dot and the small dot to its right in the background.

scored first 156k and now 158k (and say five 150k+ scores) with that in an hour of playing it like this, where the latter was obtained after a 90k 1st, so given that i think up to 100k after the 1st is doable (have had 97.5k before playing it like this) scores between 160k and 165k should be reachable with this (which makes sense, subtracting 10k from the current 2-bird 171k top score), but 171k seems a bit too much.

unrelated but relevant since timing is so important: after playing this level for some time (on my ipad air, with no other apps running, all latests updates), say after 15 to 20 minutes, it very noticeably slows down. in particular, everything seems to stop when the 1st bird in the strat above hits the flaming objects, and this get worse the longer you play; this morning after switching from the challenge last night everything stopped each time the bird hit something for about half a second. maybe this is a well-known phenomenon/bug @admins ?
to be sure this also happens in some of the other angry birds tropigal paradise levels. reminds of the stalls you get due to garbage collection (known to be difficult to reconcile with real-time), but don’t know the programming language (that part of) angry birds is written in. it could even be ios specific (are people with android experiencing the same?). not that important though, the simple solution i adopted is to close and reopen the app every 15 minutes.

Rank: Gold Flinger with 9485 points

now up to 163250/3 with that, but surely 5k more in it: didn’t get one of the skulls and have had more of the bamboo sticks, e.g. after an 98.5k 1st. in the case of my best score had 110k after the 2nd with 4 pigs remaining, but have had 115k then (then the structure refused to keel over and fall into the lava).

anyway, this level seemed, in my case, the `easiest’ way to get the 5k needed to break 5.1M in the tropigal paradise episode, so happy to have done that (and to have single digit rankings in all its levels at present, but that depends on other players, so will soon change). 50k more in it (half of which should not be very hard), i think, but not going to play for that.

wrt other episodes: in south-america i have still some levels to play (i’m already at the nr 1 spot, but that’s mainly due to some of the levels having become easier i think). i am, say, halfway through abra-ca-bacon but while playing it tropigal paradise came out and i switched to that. have played some (levels of) other episodes as well, but mainly to get to the daily challenge level first, and then to complete the episode next, often being satisfied with 1-starring a level to move on. there’s no plan, i play when and what i feel like playing.

Rank: Gold Flinger with 9485 points
By to mock a mockingbird (@vuelva)

@angrychicken because the latest seasons challenge level was from the go green get lucky episode, i now decided to give that episode a go, and in just a few days got to the nr 1 spot in it, without playing the levels to their/my limit. since this puts me above renowned players whom i normally have a hard time beating all things being equal, and since i’ve played the levels (with a few exceptions) only using known strats, i think that again my higher score is due to levels often allowing higher scores in the latest version (because i had never played these levels before i don’t know since which version that’s the case or which levels it concerns; i’m playing 5.2.0 on ipad).

@vuelva Congrats on first place but like you said you must have had some kind of advantage. I just tried a bunch of levels from GGGL and, with the exception of 1-10, they seem to score the same as always. Perhaps the increase in scores only occurs on iPad, otherwise I don’t understand how you could top a leaderboard that has been competed for several years. Not to mention that since the NBA finals update levels take a lot longer to load and restart.

If you’re wondering which episode to take on next I suggest you try The Pig Days, in my opinion this is the best chapter due to the theme changing every level and the massive points. The leaderboards have also already been supplemented with ‘5.1.0 scores’, so it should pose more of a challenge.

same for piglantis; got to nr 1 spot in that episode even with still quite a number (six or so) of levels to play for (ranks lower than 100). not much fun for people who had played these episodes seriously before, spent a lot of time on getting the most point out of the levels, and now will have to start all over again (i know the feeling from angry birds original; just stopped playing it except for the challenge and recent levels).
