Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 2-8 Walkthrough | Hot Air Balloon

Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 2-8 is to fling the red bird through the fire pit towards the king pig. Then send the blue birds towards the left golden disc. Finally, clear the remaining pigs with the yellow bird. The score in the video below is 119,990.

Note: This level celebrates the first untethered manned flight of a hot air balloon, in Paris, France on 21 November 1783.

122200 with this method:
Red Bird to the left-middle of the Hot Air Balloon. Strips a little bit of glass from the left side (And the red balloon may be popped).
The Blues to the same spot, clearing most of the level (With luck, it went through all 3 exploding coins on the balloon, and to the fireworks. This barely cleared the level and barely popped King Pig).
Yellow Bird to any other standing pig (Mine was a pig from the red balloon’s rope.)
Higher scores CAN be achieved.
Also, This isn’t an alternate strategy because I believe a LOT of luck was involved. You can try it, though.

I used the same approach, trying to clear the way for yellow to reach top right pigs. But they slowly dropped without the need for a third bird.30k bonus and 131k.

1. Red Bird into the left gold disc and destroys it along with most of the items on the left side and the hanging pigs under the 3 discs.
2. Arc the Blue Birds into same area destroying the remaining two gold discs and activated the rockets. The rockets hit the floating red structure and gold ring and the falling debris destroyed the King Pig and some of the structure.
3. Three bonus birds for 30,000

My 130,070 played out just as @wrw01 described but obviously with a lot more destruction. First bird into left most coin, detonating it so it releases those pink dangly thingies (what are they!) killing pigs below. Send blues high into what remains of the balloon to get the last 2 coins which fires up the rockets. The top right pig and ring was actually destroyed during the exploding coin damage. The lovely carnage below was all down to some well placed….read “lucky” rocket explosions which pretty much wiped the floor clean.
Is anybody else having a problem writing in their box? This is the 2nd day it’s happened. I can’t see what I’ve just written as it disappears off the side of the screen…..weird. I’m just going to have to hit send and hope there’s no mistakes.

Looks like you got out of the teens so well done! I would hate to rain on anyone’s high scoring strat parade but I’m pretty sure this is in the hands of Lady Luck and where those rockets end up. I’ve tried and tried again and just can’t get near my 130k score.

@jlz-666, I can see how they’d look like upside down pink rats now that I’ve looked again at the “body” shape & why either would be hanging from a cloud is something we may never know ; -), however, I definitely understand what you’re saying/seeing. I played on an itty bitty HTC Droid Incredible before my Motorola Razr Maxx & now play mostly on iPad. Now that HTC DINC was 1 small screen. How I ever managed to find the correct aiming points for a Top 100, let alone a Top 50 or Top 10 score is truly amazing!

Looks like a one-birder is possible here. If you send the red bird under the red balloon, it crashes into the concrete which sets off the rockets, potentially clearing the level.

(Please excuse the double post. It was on a different note.)

I didn’t manage a one-birder (would probably require some insane luck), but I did utilize the under-the-balloon method with the blues sent straight into the gold discs for a two-birder netting 124k for now.

Mixture of @wrw01 @jlz-666 & lucky rocket explosions – actually left only one piece of debris behind from what I could see on my iphone screen. Red took out the first yellow coin/disc so blues got better penetration through what was left

I got 134340 with two birds with a strategy similar to the walkthrough’s first two shot.
I sent the first bird slightly lower than the video (almost horizontal) so that it cuts through the rope about 1/3 the way down from the pigs that are attached to the red balloon. But the key difference is Red needs to go on through to hit the cement blocks to knock them over in both directions. For me, this caused more damage overall because the left cement blocks will fall left dropping the King Pig and damaging the ham structure, while the back vertical stack falls right. This may or may not unleash the rockets. On my high score of 134340 it did not cause the rockets to fire, rather cut the left cable holding them causing it land on a tilt.

Second birds to the left coin and split just before contact. You need to get all the coins and hope one or two of the blues land on the rocket structure setting them off. I got extremely lucky and the rockets flew up just right to drop the top right pigs and golden 3K ring ;-)

Here’s my screenshot:

https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/lesleyg/album/picture/11824/

I did manage a two birdie the other way as everyone else but the cement structure doesn’t like to fall that way very often…unless you get lucky and the rockets knock them over.

If you can’t get the “Lucky Rocket” shot…you can still get a decent score with four birds. On my previous high score of 126K/127K, I used my same first two shots but also used the YB to get the top right remaining pigs and ring. I then threw Stella in to pick up the cement blocks to crush remaining debris/rockets. I always ended up with a higher score using Stella, even when I had finished the level in three birds.

Much like the video on top but I got lucky with the fireworks (ugh they are so unpredictable and one needs to pray to the AB gods for them to go the right way), so only needed 2 birds. Red thru the rope holding the 4 pigs and balloons and the blues towards the gold coins inside the blue balloons and split at the last second. I got a score of 128660 this way.

@jimthepurple, as the rules say, you must provide a screenshot of the three-star tally screen to earn the trophy or underdog during the daily challenge.

Even if you could replay the level and end up with a lower score, your highscore will still appear.
See my example here: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sweetp/album/picture/19698/

Well here’s a first, relatively compliant fireworks! If you’ve been through YOD you’ll know what I mean. One birders are rare but two birders come along reasonably often as the fireworks have an unusually cooperative spirit taking out Dastardly and Muttley sitting above.
With patience though the one birder also comes along eventually when the fireworks take out the rings as well.As others say no skill involved, Red through the ropes knocking bricks over igniting fireworks.
