Beach Volley level 6-12 is a bit difficult, but only relies on one shot. Our strategy is to fire the Red birds a little above horizontal, looking for the right angle to topple the main structure. It is not very stable, so only one or two hits are needed. The score in the video below is 97,200.

Note: The first Red bird in this level has been replaced with a Yellow bird. While the strategy remains the same, you can now speed a Yellow bird over the umbrellas into the structure beyond. Since the level is now easier to complete, the video below will suffice.
Scored 106,000 on second try.. Only one method on this one I think.. Just lucky!
I found the one bird method by trying to get that stupid melon! I thought I would watch the walkthrough to see if there was a better scoring method-probably the first time I got 3 stars without trying (100860). Still can’t get that melon, even after watching the fruit walkthrough, so close:(.

Just two fun comments on this one … first for those who have had trouble reaching the melon in the crate it is possible with a maximum shot on the yellow bird … launch at about a 45 degree angle at then click when he is at the top of his flight and you will just barely reach the melon … also not sure if this happens all the time but a funny buggy side effect of this is that the yellow bird got stuck between the two umbrellas and just bounched back and forth at super high speed forever making the bird noise! HAHA!
103170, first yellow bird aimed low & tapped shortly after launch. It landed on thin plank in front of lowest marmoset with structure collapsing backwards on to second structure taking out the last 2 marmosets.
You must be thinking of a different game. There is no “first” yellow bird, just one, and it’s the last in line. If you’ve wasted 4 red birds, there’s no way you will get over 100k, more like 60k.
This was the easiest 3 stars I’ve ever gotten. One shot and that was it.
105340 with 1 bird. Launch yellow bird in a low arc. Tap it just at the right time (about half way across) and it will take out the low double sticks wiping out everything else on the way down. It took me quite a while as I was stuck on 99830 and couldn’t crack the 100,000 benchmark, then it just happened. Whoopee!
Yellow Bird? Are you sure you’re in the right walkthrough?
Yep, double checked. My first bird is yellow because Rovio changed the first bird from red to yellow (see NOTE above). If your score was achieved with a red it may be worth returning to the level and upping your score with the yellow which I imagine makes it a LOT easier. Fun level.
im gonna put a sensible comment over here first, 1st bird is yellow all of a sudden and i can’t still beat my high
score though

what the? I see the comments above.. I just went back to this level and they added?/changed the order of the birds.. now the first bird is yellow, in what update did this happen? i’m on ios, maybe you should wrote a small discaimer on this slim?
ah, i see in the video they just changed the bird.. maybe a new walkthrough video? seems to be easier scoring higher on this with the YB first?
They replaced the first bird with the yellow one.

Since the first bird is yellow, you can totally avoid the umbrellas. I found this out by accident. I was trying to up my score on this level a little because I wasn’t happy with my rank on the leaderboards. I was trying to high arc to come down on the umbrellas when I tapped my screen too early. I then watched my bird go straight to the structure and take everything out. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to get above average on all the Rio levels. This little discovery catapulted me from the low 700′s on this level’s leaderboard to the #10 spot. I am pleased. Now to milk another 2,000 points out of it to try to get another top score on the leaderboards.
That being said. The money shot for this level is the vertical board that is holding up the only plank of wood that holds two marmosets. If you come in at the right angle it will tear through the structure and push everything left for a one birdie solution. If you’re lucky, you can sometimes get some of the debris to bounce around on the umbrellas getting you some extra points until the level stops.

Lol I thought I was confused(as usual)….but. after reading commments about bird switch…I realized I wasn’t confused…100200 first shot with Yellow Bird..lol, he did bounce off umbrella so think I maybe able to do better…also would lile too see the funny mentioned by chris …I haven’t got the melon yet…ty for help:)
Wow! This was cool! I also came back like others have mentioned to improve my score which was 102K – 103K…and before coming to this page…I thought I remembered hitting the umbrellas before and did so again with no special out come…then I tried with YB for a long shot and sure enough he zoomed right over there and took everybody out with one bird…then I came here and saw that they changed it from a red to a yellow and what a difference! I tried a few more times and wow…got 107160! I got this and 107140 once too…I got these scores by hitting front two thin vertical slabs along with the first thicker horizontal one and it causes the debris to tumble down on umbrellas and they bounced several times for lots of points…the other 107K score I hit the two thicker horizontal pieces of wood that are stacked on top of each other below the first monkey sticking out in the middle. debris alos fell onto umbrellas this way as well! AWESOME!
I wonder why they chose to change this level to make it easier – it’s not as if it was a particularly tricky one initially. There are some far harder ones in Seasons Greedings on ABS where a bird switch would be much appreciated! Nonetheless, I’ll take the extra 10k in points and move on! :D
Alright I did it before the level was nerfed.One bird sent first structure rightwards, very little left.

i got my score on this speeding up not much out of the sling hitting nice and low at front u want the falling slabs to go through the wood ,also some luck hitting second or third lst umbrella on a low trajectory so it spins in to the sweet spot,.
Still the highscore after 4 months? Sorry I couldn’t be enough specific.I reckon the red is better at pushing,while the yellow excels in penetrating.If you can get the yellow straight at structure at a low speed it may be a better pusher.That was my very first successful attempt.
