Angry Birds Big Setup 3 Star Walkthrough Level 10-13

Our strategy for Big Setup level 10-13 is to fire the first Big Brother into the middle of the all-stone tower. As debris falls, the only pig remaining will be on the far-right. Launch the next Big Brother into the last tower to clear the level. The score in the video below is 81,070.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

Took me long to go over average. Did it via 3-birder. First head to head on front wagon, destroying it completely by hitting just above the front wheel. Second bird on second carrige hitting it quickly on horizontal stone spearing it into the 2 small pigs in the middle. Al 4 pigs counting from the right killed. Then last shot on the uppermost pig aiming 50% to helmet, 50% to vertical stone brick. Lots of debris finally made my day. But how are the scores > 90K possible….? Via 1-birder it seems not to be possible due to lack of debris.

Found a better way via 2 birder:

first shot directly face on into horizontal stone grazing the first pig and killing it. This should kill all 4 pigs counted from left (not from right as I previously wrote). 2nd shot as described previously.

There is a one bird way. Aim the bird at the upper half of the all stone tower. With some luck all the pigs will die leaving you with sufficient damage and two birds to get all the three stars.

@e-star Used E-Star’s stragegy but was able to complete the level with two birds. It appears that after the launch of the 1st Big Brother and during its destructive phase that pushing the solid stone tower to the left might be a necessary to take out the lowest pig. Second bird into the far left cart. Gained 7k+ in points.

I used the power-up frenzy. the birdquake, king sling, sling scope, and super seeds. when I cleared the level, my score was 124,540. and when first got back to it, I said this… “back to the same level where I missed a piggy”.

Had to change my strategy for this level to get 90K+. You want to use all three birds. 1st Terrance aimed right through the rim of the left-most pig’s helmet, and smacking straight into the end of the horizontal stone platform of the second wagon. It’s OK if there’s little damage to left-most wagon. You want 48K+ of damage *without* killing the bottom-most pig (important). 2nd Terrance: Aim to hit the top left corner of the thick stone next to the helmeted pig on top of the tower. With luck, Terrance will inflict maximum damage to right-most tower, and the left side of the stone tower remains intact. This is an important rebound wall for the 3rd Terrance. 3rd Terrance: That one little piggie remains in the bottom corner. You want Terrance to smack into what remains of the stone tower above the pig, then fall back onto the wood debris that covers the pig. Hopefully Terrance pulverizes all in the area, including that final pig. Happy flinging!

Took me forever on this level just for a minimum 3 star score, but I also have an alternate 2 bird strategy for anyone struggling. First bird on an arch over both carts to hit the horizontal wood plank holding up the vertical stone piece at the top of the middle structure. If done right this almost always results in all structures falling and killing all pigs but the very right (including pieces falling to the left and pushing both carts to the left popping the pigs there, it just always seems to happen). Last bird shot at last pig at very right with most debris damage possible.

By alangca

98,380 with consistent scores above 95k. 1st bird skims left wood vertical of wagon gains speed on 1st pig’s helmet, into horizontal stone base of 2nd wagon, drives it forward, destroys pigs and everything to right lower level. 45-50k pts +.
2nd bird lands on top of stone tower hitting pig at same time and tipping tower into right structure. Good destruction leaves you with 80-88k pts. One bird remaining for additional 10k.

I aim for the short vertical stone plank in front of the first stone tower. Red continues on through the 2nd vertical stone plank and pushes the right tower to the right while the other tower leans to the left and creates a domino effect giving a one birder but without a high score the trick is to sight where the most debris lies and take it out with the two remaining birds but don’t hesitate too long or you will lose the chance

seeing this is the daily challenge level: i had achieved top score not long ago (say a month) within 5 minutes, by playing it as usual. i concluded the level had become way easier (say in the latest version; as many others have; cf. alangca’s comment and follow ups, they’re from after v5.0.1 was released), so didn’t continue playing it, but a great opportunity for puppies today.

i didn’t because my score then was not very high on the leaderboards (into the low 90ks); but here it is
1st) clean up the low part as described in other comments e.g.. by alangca (in general, i reset if i have below 45k; getting into the low 50ks is very good);
2nd) clean up the high part by sending terrence through the small stone in the middle; hope it slices through both towers (may be helped by a damaged piece of wood just in front of it).

the 1st works every few attempts. the 2nd doesn’t work very often (with my precision once every, say, 15 minutes), but can give great destruction. just now got 98k after a 44k 1st so scores in the 104k-106k range should be reachable (also got 97k by using a 3rd; i play it mainly to practise the 2nd shot in cases the 1st didn’t work out, but 100k+ should be doable with 3 as well).

(sorry for responding late (relatively to the 24 hour length of the challenge); have been away)

By to mock a mockingbird (@vuelva)Score: 101,680

@windwalker just in order to illustrate the 2nd slicing through as mentioned in my previous comment, i now only played for the 1st to clear enough for the 2nd to have a clear path to the small stone. here’s a picture of the 2nd (and its trajectory) caught in the act of slicing through (after a 1st which got less than 40k destruction and moreover left one of the pigs alive; but that’s irrelevant; what’s relevant is that it cleared the path for the 2nd):

resulting in 81k damage:

clearly a better 1st could easily have given 90k+ damage for a 100k+ score. that should show that/how the 2nd shot i described is doable. it `only’ remains to combine such a 2nd with a good 1st. good luck (well, you already got your puppy, but to others wanting to try this).

I broke the 100k barrier during today’s challenge. Not enough for a puppy, however (yet?).

In case this can be useful:
1st bird as alangca describes above.
2nd bird at front charriot which, when left undamaged, can easily give around 12k by itself, possibly more, but then it depends on what is left from 1st shot. I prefer spending my 2nd bird that way, because there is time to aim.
3rd bird toward top of leftmost stone tower, hoping that everything crumbles pleasantly. I have not yet found the most efficient way to do so, hence the large variability in my attempts. For my 100k, I had 46k after 1st bird, and 58k or 59k after 2nd.

You can swap 2nd and 3rd birds, but them aiming of last bird must be done very quickly since all pigs are gone (this is an issue with @windwalker‘s strat, I think). I also tried to swap 1st and 2nd bird, but, unexpectedly it did not lead me anywhere.

Got it!

Same strat as above, which, I think corresponds to @angrychicken‘s below.

My score after first two shots was not impressive (not enough so as to pay attention, probably below 57k, despite all pigs dead there), but collapse of left stone tower to the left was very efficient. Note that I once got 64k after first two shots, with one wheel left. Therefore, a perfect cleaning of the bottom/left part of the level can in principle give 66k, and the best total can probably reach above 106k.

Regarding @vuelva‘s comment about the level being easier now, I wonder whether this might come from the wheels which seem easier to destroy than before. However, I do not play ABO enough to be sure that it is a correct explanation.

103230 for today’s challenge. The higher scoring potential here is undeniable but this was still a very frustrating level. Not only was @vuelva at the top which in my experience spells doom for the puppy odds, but this level can also be screwed up in over one-hundred thousand ways. Many of the tips in the comments did not work for me or maybe I simply lack the patience to test them. Eventually I got my score with the strategy I employed from the start, using 3 birds. The mountains in the background were very useful, I used them in relation to the bird’s tail feathers to help me aim.

1: Nicking the leftmost vertical wooden plank, through the little pig with the hat to the tip of the stone bar protuding from the 2nd cart. 43K with 1 pig on the lower level still alive but exposed.

2: At the top left tip of the horizontal wood of the left cart. 55K.

3: At the pig on the first tower of the upper level, collapsing the right tower and (finally!) pushing the bottom of the first tower to the left, destroying most blocks and the little pig still left below for 103K.

Something funny happened this turn. The 2 wheels from the left cart rolled under the sling. As I was about to fire the 3rd bird I noticed I could knock them around with terence while he was still on the sling! I managed to destroy one of them and heavily damage the other one, giving me 2000 points and an odd feeling of guilt. This ended up being much needed for my score.

By the Challenge end, I’d used all of the strats posted in the last 24hrs to slowly improve from 86380 (almost 4 yrs ago on itty bitty HTC DINC) to 97090 on iPad ultimately with @angrychicken strat. While my best was on iPad perhaps 5 min before Challenge end, the vast majority of proves scores were surprisingly on iPhone as it was easier (for me at least,) to line up the 1st shot, so let’s not assume larger iPad means easier aim as something about the resolution or layout on iPhone 6 Plus made the 1st shot to skim nearest pig’s hat to horizontal stone in cart much easier to judge; after shot #2, I had 61k but could only manage 97k in the end : -(
