Paladin Devotion:
Weird bugs in the arena. When opposing Paladin uses Devotion to protect one of his birds/banner, this link will persist even after Paladin is knocked out, as long as his side has a resurrection emblem. No other secondary ability does this.

Today, both I and the computer were using Paladin, and both had used Devotion. When computer hit my Paladin with a Lightening Bird , my link was dispelled– this happened twice. When I hit his Paladin with my Captain, there was no dispel of the link.

What does this mean?

I was also demoted from silver to last place in wood league.

HOWEVER, there is some Good News! Valiant set has been fixed, at least for me. check it out.

Shrink to nothing!

I don’t’ know if this is a bug or not: I was playing an arena battle against a witch class Matilda, with the blessed set on each side, so it was a long fight. My thunderbird was hit so many times by the witch that my bird disappeared completely off the screen. His blue circle was still there, but I could not make him do anything. The game completely stopped, because I couldn’t activate my shrunken thunderbird.

Eventually I quit, taking the loss, just to do something else.

Is this shrinkage to nothing supposed to force a defeat???

The new update to Epic is extremely unstable. It crashes continuously, at any moment. This is most annoying in arena battles, which the system counts as MY loss, but also in switching between the nest and map, or between arena and map, or in chronicle cave battles. I am tapped out, again, from the arena due to crashes rather than losses.

Yes, I have deleted and reloaded the game, twice. I have turned off my iPad several times, and I am not running any other active programs. iPad still has lots of memory space. What else can I do?

You were lucky! I tried it twice on the regular wheel, once on the arena wheel, and got NO set items.

Thanks! I was already on iOS 8.4 , but relaoading the whole app did help a bit. I was able to fill the daily objectives (a pretty low goal, I admit).

The situation is becoming intolerable. I opened the new day’s arena objectives, and start a battle. System crashes. I start again, win two battles, and system crashes. I turn off my iPad completely, restart, win two more battles, and system crashes on the third.

One of the objectives is to win three battles in a row. Since the system wouldn’t
Allow me to play three battles in a row, I can’t reach this goal. I am finished for the next 22 hours.

The latest update is extremely irritating. My iPad crashes several times a day, and the last five arena battles I have lost have all been due to system crashes. I can barely get through the daily objectives. And, with fewer golden coins and rarer “rainbow riot” days, chances of upgrading my birds or banners are disappearing. Very discouraging.

A bug I haven’t seen before: my bird is spy with Beep! Set, gets stunned. The AI has no bird with a stun capacity. AI’s banner is red, with chain attack, perfect balance, and vengeance. AI birds are wizard with Phoenix set, paladin with dragon set, spies with ballista set. So where did the stun come from?

Playing on iOS; in the arena was facing Spies with “the sling” and plushies. During the AI 1st turn, the Spies attacked, then immediately attacked again. No, the time-turner was not in play, nor was Chuck with the chronos set. Of course, it is hard to win when the AI gets 4 bird attacks to my 3 birds.

I am unable to get epic to connect to Internet. I use iOS, it is up to date, and the iPad has been turned off and on several times. Other apps connect properly to Internet. Please advise.

I can explain Stoneguard’s second ability: any bird under Ancestral Protection has a shield, which doesn’t stop a pig’s attack — but(!) the pig takes a 40% weakening of its future attacks.

Agree with @killerkea, using thorns on the banner and birds that have support skills that do damage to attackers – mage’s shock shield, thunderbird, cannoneer, rogue. Then get the enemy to attack your banner – Princess, for example.

A new bug for me: using sea dog linked to paladin, attacked banner with a stunned bird icon, and sea dog is stunned when he followed paladin attack. However, sea dog has not made his own attack yet. The system is stuck, waiting for my stunned sea dog to do something!

I agree it is definitely harder to win than on the first round of arena battles. The ratings and equipment of the opponents has greatly increased. I am now seeing opponents with all 10-ranked birds, all with matching set items, and banners and emblems (purple and retaliate, for example) showing they have been in diamond league. Can’t beat that.

A weird bug: I am dueling an opponent with paladin, when his paladin uses his support skill on MY berserker! That really surprised me. It didn’t seem to really work in the usual way, but I am not sure how it could work. I won the duel a little later, so it didn’t hurt anything.

Thank you! I should have realized that. There are so many effects going on in arena battles, including various banners items which I am not familiar with, that I can’t always keep track of the results.
