Heinousk@heinouskI’ve noticed some very strange happenings lately in the arena. Someone may have already mentioned it earlier but there’s just too much on this thread to read them all. Since the onset of the slingshot levels, bronze, silver, etc., it seems that the match ups in the arena are completely falsified. I have managed to upgrade my birds hats over the past couple of weeks so that each of my birds is wearing a street cap. I’ve been winning the daily challenge each day and done fairly well in the arena but each time I level up my slingshot, low and behold every opponent that I face after that not only has the same slingshot as me but some also have hats that way surpass mine. There is no way that someone could have possibly leveled up their slingshot and been able to purchase multiple cowboy hats in the amount of time that this has been available. There have just not been enough opportunities to get that many pearls. I also notice that the level of slingshot does not match the hats that the birds are wearing. For instance the opponent may only have one street cap and the rest are party hats yet their slingshot is gold, signifying that they should all have street caps. Has anyone else been seeing the same thing in the arena?
Heinousk@heinouskOK, so I’m not an Apple user and didn’t realize that Game Center was an Apple thing. I feel a little stupid for even asking that question. Since I’m not a Facebook user, it’s been very frustrating for me for the past couple of months since the update. I finally talked my kid into letting me use her Facebook login so I could sync another device and transfer my game play and since I happened to have an iPad sitting around that never got used I figured I would use it for the game. My game progress synced easily once I logged in on both devices. My level was correct for each bird and I had all my stars. The levels of play were also correct. HOWEVER, my gems did sync between the devices. When I pull up the game on my phone, my original device, I have over 2000 gems that I’ve been saving up. When I open the game on the iPad I only have the ones that have been collected since I started the game up on that device. Right now it’s at 90 something.
Is this normal? If you sync your game between multiple devices why would everything transfer over except for the gems? Has anyone else had this problem or did I do something wrong? It really sucks to have been playing this game from day one and now not be able to use my gems.
Heinousk@heinouskPlease explain more about syncing using Game Center. I was under the impression that the only way to do it was through Facebook. I can barely play the game anymore since the last update and I don’t use Facebook. It would be really nice to be able to transfer my game play to another device and actually be able to play the game again.
Heinousk@heinouskI have been having problems with the game ever since the last update. I have yet to be able to play any level higher than 580 without the game crashing on me. My average for play in the arena the past couple of weeks is, if I’m lucky, once a day the game will let me play without it crashing and about every other day the daily challenge will let me play without crashing. It is very frustrating since I’m not on Facebook and can’t move my game play to another device. I started a case with Rovio weeks ago and finally have an answer, not that it helps. Apparently some people on a little bit older devices, like mine, a Galaxy S3, will not be able to play the game. The last update changed so much that the devices can no longer handle the amount of RAM that the game uses, therefore the game will crash. Here is what I got back from Rovio regarding the matter. Needless to say that the steps they suggested do not work for me.
“We’ve received other similar reports regarding the same device as yours and unfortunately it seems that the device is struggling to run the game and that there’s very little we’re able to do. We’re looking into the issue to see if we’re able to optimize the game to older devices but in the mean time you could try the following steps:
a) having as much free space on your device’s memory as possible
b) not multitasking (close all background applications when starting the game)
c) restarting the device every now and then to release some memory”

It’s been days now since I’ve heard anything from Rovio regarding my case. They responded initially asking me for more information about my device and I haven’t heard back since. I too am in the bottom 3 in my league at the moment and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve been lucky if I can play the arena at all. I have been able to save up a lot of tickets for the arena in the meantime. I figure if it’s just going to crash on me then I’ll just try when it gives me a free play, then watch the video for a ticket and save up. The past couple of days I was able to play the daily challenge and beat it, but once again today, it just crashes. I’ve seen the first of the new levels 3 times now but after flinging my first bird, CRASH. I’m unfortunately not on Facebook so I can’t even play on a different device. If they can’t help me out and get me playing again, I’m afraid that I may have to bit the bullet and set up a dummy Facebook account just to be able to move my gameplay.
Does anybody else have any suggestions for Saphira and I?

I feel your pain. I have been having the same issues since the update. I have only been able to play the arena a few times this week without it crashing and I am now way behind and will be demoted from diamond league if I can’t score. The daily challenge has been letting me play occasionally the past couple of days and I have actually been able to pass it without it crashing. I still have not been able to play any of the new levels. The game just crashes whenever I try to open up a level.
I have started a case with Rovio already and am waiting to hear what they have to say about it. I knew I couldn’t be the only one having these issues. I guess no one else is bothering to talk about it.
Heinousk@heinouskI’ve put up with all of the problems until this update but this is too much. I still have not been able to play any new levels or the daily challenge since this update. Whenever I try to open them up the game crashes and just goes away. I’ve been able to play the arena a couple of times but just about every time I open it up the same thing happens. The gears in bottom corner don’t move and the game just crashes. I was well ahead in first place in my league before the update but after I wasn’t able to get any more stars and ended up in second place. Now I have only been able to play it one time since the arena reset for the week, even though I’ve tried to play many times, and I’m just about in last place. I can’t imagine that I’m the only having this problem. And since I’m not on Facebook I can’t play on a different device.
Heinousk@heinouskI can’t even play the game now after the update. Every time I try to play either a new level or the arena the game crashes on me. I have only been able to get the first new level to open once and as soon as my first bird hit, the game crashed. I haven’t even been able to get the arena to open properly. It tried to one time but then I lost the ticket and am still waiting for my next ticket to be available.
Heinousk@heinouskI have not been able to play any of the new levels yet. Every time I try to open one up and play the game crashes on me. I can play older levels without it crashing. I wonder why only the new levels crash. The first time I tried to play the arena after the update it crashed on me too and stole my ticket. After waiting another 3 hours I was able to play the arena once and now the TMNT ad is keeping me from getting my second ticket. I’ve been resetting my phone for an hour now trying to get it to give me a different ad but it keeps coming up with the TMNT ad that doesn’t work. Currently I’m in first place in my league but that won’t last long if I keep having issues.

I have only been able to play the arena 3 times in almost 24 hours. Every time I try to open a new level, the daily challenge or play the arena the game crashes on me. Is anybody else having these issues?
