Hmm, just now after game crash I lost all. No birds, no karts, no coins, no gems, no eggs. Request to Rovio sent, waiting for response. Sh!t.

EDIT: Uff, I tried restore iphone from 2 days old backup and progress is back.

Haha, Rovio. They think we have to play single player? And how, when I cannot “Beat a friend’s score” and don’t have enough gems to skip this, because I lost about 4K gems due to their bungled updates? Their programmers are losers and we all are betatesters, unfortunately.

@grimmjow Yes, on iPhone, via iTools. Fortunately I found older versions of all my apps once in the Recycle bin, and since then I keep them.

@grimmjow I did several times downgrade to 1.8.4 and then upgrade to 1.9.0 and I managed to get back all my golden eggs, but at the cost of losing:
– about 2500 gems
– air kart no. 4 (2500 gems + coins for full upgrade)
– stunt kart no. 3 (1200 gems + coins for full upgrade)
– halloween kart + coins for full upgrade
– christmas kart + coins for full upgrade
After this I made upgrade to latest version and can play without major problems.

Then I wrote to Salla about restored profile and asked for refund lost gems and coins, but she (?) wrote:

I am so sorry to hear that the issues in the game continue! Unfortunately regarding multiplayer, our hands are completely tied at the moment. Some people with issues in multiplayer have been able to get some of their progress back out of luck but for some, issues continue. This is because we haven’t made any changes to the multiplayer in the latest update as we are planning on releasing a bigger update at some point which would tackle many issues. Unfortunately I have to disappoint you in this case and ask you to refrain from playing the multiplayer for now if it starts acting up again as I am afraid that we will be unable to provide any support related to it at this point in time.

regarding your lost progress, restoring your game from a backup at this point might result you into losing your multiplayer progress as you finally managed to get it back. If you are willing to take that risk, I can try restoring your progress but unfortunately there is currently no guarantee that this will work.

Have you done any in-app purchases in the game? Please forward us your purchase receipts. We would be happy to consider a compensation in case you have lost your actual money due to this progress roll-back.

fortunately I never made any in-app purchase. ;) Now I can play multiplayer with all my golden eggs, and all what I need now is refund lost gems and coins (as You can see in my previous reply).

Hello racers,

I did some downgrades and upgrades during several days, and it seems now I can play latest (chinese ny) version with my old real count of golden eggs. I lost some of my stats (about 500 races played, about 400 trophies won, and more than 100 hours in time played) and a lot of goods (about 2500 gems, fully upgraded air kart no. 4, fully upgraded stunt kart no. 3 – so then I asked Rovio for refund). But it does not matter – important is I’m back in Vuks team with my eggs :).

Strange situation today. Offline mode absolutely no problem. Single multiplayer – game crash after every race. Team multiplayer – connection error when seeking opponent team.

So, bad news – after today’s 3 crashes I lost my multiplayer progress again!

I have all apps (*.ipa files) in “C:\Users\Bluebear\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications”. Older versions are in Recycle Bin and I usually make Restore from Recycle Bin after every update to keep older versions.

I found in my iTunes directory these versions – 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.4.3, 1.6.0, 1.6.3, 1.7.0, 1.8.4, 1.9.0, 1.10.1 (this I play) and 1.11.0. There is no problem install any of these versions with e.g. iTools, but I think that it is meaningless if my profile was deleted.

LOL, game is full of surprises – yesterday I was a class 4 with 218 eggs, and now suddenly jump to a class 18 with 4490 eggs. In single multiplayer as BluebearTMP. WTF?

@abgofast I downgraded to 1.10 and can play local races without mortal freezes of version 1.11, but lost again Spooky kart, lost Turkey kart, and lost a lot of money spent for upgrading that two karts.

FYI this is what I wrote tonight to Rovio support:

So I think Rovio server still remember old Bluebear, and can not assign present (after Thanksgiving version freeze) BlueBear as old BlueBear. Actually I can play single player and multiplayer (from zero eggs) in Halloween version, because Thanksgiving version is very buggy and freezes very often, especially when I tap any “add” button to get some gems for seeing adds. Reinstall not helps. I tried install Thanksgiving version on iPad 3, made other account, and got three freezes during about 10 single races. Freeze is lasting, so I have to kill game, run again, and then I see some (not all) coins and gems are gone. This is very frustrating and this is why I play Halloween version.

And interesting is, that loss of some gems and coins occurs now in Halloween version too – when I play several single races, then go to most upper game menu and back to single races menu, some coins and gems, and even weekly tournament progress are gone. {Admin Edit}

@supersic welcome in the nest. I don’t know anything about Android, but for downgrade to older version on iDevice you can use e.g. iTools, if you have backup.

Interesting progress – I got this today from Salla, Rovio support:

– Is your multiplayer now starting completely from zero?
– Are you still part of the team with the same new but with zero points?
– Can your teammates see your old result?

I answered:

– yes, my multiplayer runs completely from zero
– no, my “old me” is still part of team Vuks, with old results (89307 eggs)
– yes, my teammates can see my “old me” with old results

I hope that it’s correct. :)
