How many times have you come close to throwing your phone or tablet against the wall because you just can’t 3-star some nearly-impossible level of Angry Birds?
We’ve all been there. We’ve cursed and screamed and maybe said some unfair things about the level designers — sorry, Rovio (we DO love you guys). But in all fairness, those baldness-inducing levels make Angry Birds so much more fun and rewarding! If every level was easy it wouldn’t be an enjoyable game. It’d be like those grade-school “Olympics” where everyone gets a trophy just for participating. Blah!
So with said, now it’s your turn to let us know what levels you’ve found most difficult to 3-star across any of the Angry Birds apps! To help spur your memory we have picked a few of our favorite challenging levels below.
AMslimfordy Beach Volley Level 5-11
“This level is actually one of my favorites, but holy smokes was it hard. In the grand scheme of things, this was the first level where ABN specifically uploaded a second walkthrough video, just because we got so many complaints that the existing video was “too hard”. Anyways, long story short, I actually managed 3 stars in under a dozen tries. But just after I succeeded, I knew I could’ve sat there for another couple hours with no such luck.” — @AMslimfordy
BirdLeader Trick or Treat Level 3-9
“I replayed Angry Birds Seasons Trick or Treat 3-9 level SO many times before I finally 3-starred it. Interestingly though, I never found it frustrating. When I FINALLY did earn that coveted third star I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Strange I know, but it was very rewarding (unlike, for example, Red’s Mighty Feathers). But then came Trick or Treat 3-10. Ha!” — @BirdLeader
Sal9 Mighty Hoax Level 4-14
“Angry Birds Mighty Hoax Level 4-14 was, and still is, my ‘Nemesis’. It took me about a year or so to finally overcome this level. It requires four very precise shots, with different aims, and 85K points to get three stars! I was stumped … This is the level that lead me to the Nest’s walkthroughs the first time, a very very long time ago. The legendary @Scarbzscope and @Fujitoast made my day (for those who remember them) and restored my sanity.” — @Sal9
E-Star Abra-Ca-Bacon 2-8
“Angry Birds Seasons Abra-Ca-Bacon Level 2-8 is my going-bonkers-iPad-almost-flying-across-the-room level! I remember sending the Orange Bird all over the place, but the boulders never fell in my favor. More frustrating was to see those immense high scores while not even being able to get 3 stars. When I finally did get 3*’s by luck of the draw … I ran! fast … out of there (luckily my score was above average so I never had to come back).” — @E-Star

Angry Birds Seasons Trick or Treat Level 3-10 was difficult for me. TBH, I’m still crammed on that level. Gonna look at the walkthrough!
I would list my most frustrating-beyond-belief levels, but I think all the psychological trauma they have caused has created some kind of mental block.
However, I do recall a couple of the Seasons “santa hat glitch” levels taking a long, looong time to get above average, post-glitch.
Back in the day I struggled with ABS season’s greedings level 20. I didn’t even have to look up the level number that’s how well I remember the pain. There just aren’t enough birds!! Although once I got the hang of it (two years later!) it’s not so bad anymore
Angry Birds Rio – High Dive Level 6. My Worst Nightmare! Always something goes wrong and I have to launch second Hal to finish it. Second Hal launched = no chances for 3 stars :/
There are so many levels that have given me massive trouble. I could list 50 and I still wouldn’t list them all. But here are a couple of the stand outs:
Original Mighty Hoax 4-20: I actually gave up and started using power ups and still couldn’t 3* this one. Eventually was able to without though.
Original Danger Above 6-13: This is the level that ended any desire I had at trying to get above average scores.
Original Bad Piggies 21-5, 21-8 and 22-9: Pretty much all BP levels give me trouble (Definitely the hardest chapter for me) but these three stand out.
Star Wars Tatooine 1-29: Not the hardest at all but it was the first level I had to look at a walkthrough to 3*.
Star Wars 2 Naboo Invasion P1-S3: My most hated.
Bad Piggies Tusk Til Dawn 5-1: Getting the upper star box.
Others that really got me are all three Original Ham ’em High Facebook Levels, Original Surf and Turf 33 and 36, Space Utopia 4-15, Star Wars Death Star 2 6-8, Star Wars 2 Battle of Naboo B3-19 and Rise of the Clones B4-8.
I just thought of something. This is probably some sick way to collect levels for the daily challenge.

@sntrooper, not a bad idea! But as the admin for the daily challenge, I would not do that to our Nesters. I’m all about having fun trying to get the Underdog badge, not creating torture!
For me it has to be seasons abra ca bacon level 2 -12 an almost impossible level to 3 star spent nearly over week non stop trying to complete this level and when I did it was the only time I danced a jig after completing a level. Only problem was I lost all my scores a year later so I have to complete it again arragh
@chris, I feel your pain! Actually, I’ve lost all progress in ABO, Seasons, Rio, Space, and SW…4 times! You should go through our Ultimate Backup Tutorial for all Platforms guide before you have to start all over…again! Good luck to you.

I don’t see ABO, Birdday Party Egg-Defender -7 listed. It appears that I never did 3* it. So it’s got to be harder for me than the ones I mentioned earlier, where I got 3*, but not above average.
Nhuf, I think it has to be the Poached Eggs 2-12! It’s so hard to clean all that glass nicely, and then you have to land a perfect shot with Chuck afterwards… >.<

AB original, surf and turf 35 make me crazy (3 stars and feather).
LEVEL 4-11 of Mighty hoax. Just what the post says, it requires four precise shots. Also 4-9 of the same episode. Too hard to kill the pig in the tank.
Poached Eggs Level 62!! Took weeks to finally 3 star this level!! Didn’t like it then!
Utopia 4-3 is terrible too. So hard to 3 star by just using 2 birds. But I soon 3 starred it after 93 tries (yes I failed that much).
Arrrrg, I can’t find the level in AB Classic that brought me to ABN in the first place! Before coming here in ’12, I had three-starred all the levels except one that was driving me crazy! I know what it looks like, it is emblazoned on my brain, but I can’t find it. I will keep looking…

Maybe I did have it 3-starred before coming here, but I think it was the last level in Classic (at the time anyway) to break above average. I just remember spending many frustrating hours on that one!
Wait, no that it isn’t it, but yeah, I struggled with that one too. The one I am thinking of looks like 6-4 though.

Some levels are easy enough to three star, but smokes the challenge is getting above average.

Original angry birds might red feathers #15. I still only have one star. I have 3 starred everything including star wars II, but no matter how I approach that one, I am unsuccessful. It is just too fast!

The two hardest for me has been polar bear days and rio open in seasons pig days.
The hardest level for me was Angry Birds Seasons – Haunted Hogs- 2-11.
I mean, these ghost blocks were really annoying me since they were hard to destroy. >:(
I couldn’t decide. Probably Haunted Hogs 1-13 for me!
Winter wonderham 1-24. The first bird meant everything and I tried FOREVER to get it right.
Has anyone voted for ABS 2016, 1-11? That one almost killed me.

Angry Birds 2 level 900. I couldn’t get the boss pig off his perch way up high without clearing the way first with several birds. So I had to get through four levels first and end up with at least 4-5 Birds.Then I had to do a three way bounce off three trampolines just to knock him off. The most helpful bird at knocking him off was Blues and just one hit him two to dislodge him. After the first hit, I still needed Blues to get him once more until he fell to the open space and was gone!! I needed quite a few birds to do it; it took me 3 days!
