If we need fewer mastery point to level up in the new update, it is possible that the game is stalled on “Loading Balancing into action…” because at least one of our bird hat has too many mastery points which is exceeding the maximum (that is, for mastery level 15).

BTW I just tried again. Still no luck. Game runs fine with a fresh start but when I enter the credentials for my Rovio account, BAM! “Game update required for this profile”, I can’t exit out of the menu, have to quit and I’m stuck at the balancing again.

Same thing for me, can enter game fine when i delete it and then reinstall, but also getting “game update required for this profile” when i try to login to my rovio account. luckily it didnt autoupdate on my phone so i can still play on that :)

I’m having the same problem…game won’t load and is stuck with that same balancing message. I still haven’t done my arena goals for today so I hope they fix it soon.

@smwforever45 sounds like an issue on Rovio’s end then having to do with the updated accounts being broken. Last time that message happened for me they had to restore my account to an earlier save point, then it worked fine.

@smwforever45 @cassa @atom Thankfully, I don’t seem to be having any issues. The game was crashing between zones last night, just after I installed the update… however, this morning, everything seems to be functioning normally. I’m really sorry that you’re all having such a frustrating transition. That’s one of the primary reasons I switched to Bluestacks… I kept losing progress on iOS… so I simply gave up. Android seems much more stable.

@smwforever45 it’s true while i was playing the 2nd level of the dungeon i saw the 12 and at the end the congratulation yellow box for gaining the level 12 but i couldn’t see your bird :) but it’s true you are now lvl 12

@smwforever45 The progress I lost was very minimal. I think I might have lost the equivalent of 1 run through SRC (pre-nerf). So it wasn’t bad at all. Hopefully they’ll have fixed it all in the morning.

@angryde I tried Bluestacks a while back and Epic kept crashing when I used it. Maybe its better now but I also don’t have a Google Play account or Android device.

@atom @cassa I was using an ancient iPad 2 so it was (also) a question of necessity for me. I run Bluestacks on an iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) and it’s flawless. Fast, smooth, stable. However, it’s unsupported… so Rovio is like GTFO if you submit a support request. XD

iOS has never been trouble for me, all I ever heard of used to be Android (like event troubles, for example)…
I’d love to try out Bluestacks but where to get 1.4.6 from? The update was rolled out on Google Play already… :/

I am seriously dreading this update. The game profile is to be updated message basically means that the servers are denying your progress which means….it may get deleted if Rovio doesn’t do anything about it. Not to mention, it’s totally unknown as to which point in time will they be able to restore the profile like what happened to @atom.

Honestly, I am starting to see what Rovio “fixed” in this update and I don’t like it one bit. This update has more negatives than positives and this time the negatives are that much big to just ignore and wait..

I’m getting frustrated with these “updates” that cause more problems than they fix. I’ve spend too many hours to just quit the game. I still like the concept of Epic – I just wish it would work better.

Deleted and reinstalling the app doesn’t work. I still have my entire data, but can’t log back in and all I get is a message saying “game update is required” in which I’m running the latest version. So yeah there is nothing we can do no matter what unless we hopefully find a way to downgrade.

Some say yes, but @angryde did a test and said no…

Some also say you can get mastery when others use a bird of yours in battles. Unconfirmed yet.

At last we have less restriction of capital controls and i can use my pre-paid visa card and i bought with 10 euros the 220 “Bag of lucky Coin” so yeah i bought the Elite Skulkers for 60 Lucky coins discount 33% from 90 Lucky Coins and i am awaiting if they will give and the Paladin Elite Headgear.

Can confirm that the game seems to want to give Mastery to friends birds that you use. One of my beginner friends cap’n said it mastered up from 3 to 13. Not sure this is permanent.

EDIT- My Cap’n is at M13 so maybe it is trying to adjust his birds to mine
