useless resources?

I don’t know if this has been discussed before, apologies if it has.

My question is about potions/consumable items that are replaced by higher level recipes.
atm I know that for example banana juice gets removed and replaced by sea berry juice when the recipe is bought.
After that, banana juice can’t be crafted from the cauldron
so what happens to all the bananas I’ve collected/about to collect?

I’ve bought the sea berry juice not expecting this.
Right now I have close to 100 bananas without a use for them. Are they completely useless? same for sea berries, snow apples etc when their time has come

You’ll need banana, sea berries, and snow apples to make fruit cake rank 4.

They don’t become useless. Fruit cake uses all three you mention. As far as I can tell nothing becomes useless on the alchemy side. On the anvil side once you have set items you will probably never use anything you collect.

all right, thanks I’m only level 12 so I dont know that fruit cake (unlocked at 15) uses bananas too

Got a little worried that my bananas were forever useless :/

@bubbley — People are saying that the gear you get in the new caves in 1.0.14 is more powerful than the set items you got while level 29, so it sounds like anvil items will be useful. Can’t verify this, since I play on IOS.

Set items on lvl 29 is stronger than normal item in the latest cave.

I play IOS also. Have to wait. It would be nice to find a use for the mountains of stuff I have for so far I have rarely used the anvil.
