I did have one-digit “Next Rank” values before… :)
Today I had 51 mastery left for Spies to reach rank 12. Enough reason for me to do an extra run in 1-5 with no friend’s bird just to get the rest :)

Can someone who has a working game tell us how much mastery is required for each rank now? Someone tell us why some people got their classes downranked and others upranked?

After the update my Paladin was M10 showing -3427 mastery to the next level M11, went to a battle, as soon as a pig died Paladin leveled up, and then he was 3428 or whatever into the points for M12. He was pretty close to M11 before the update, I think around 2500 to go. So he went from 2500ish short to 3500ish over. I’d guess the total cost to M11 dropped by 6,000 mastery. But I don’t know if that was all from the M10 to M11 jump, or from M1 to M11.

I didn’t see anyone go down, but My highest is Wizard at M12, I have a few at M11, and most at M10, Tricksters at M9. For all of them the points to the next level went down. Seems to have gone down a lot for M10-M11 where most of my birds are.

ed – sorry my Wizard is actually M13, and he didn’t seem to change much at all

Fairly confident M11 to M12 is now 32,000. I got Lightning bird to M11 yesterday before the update and haven’t used him since, he’s 31,914 to M12. I got Cannoneer to M11 a few days ago but haven’t used him since, he’s 31,412 to M12 (probably got a 500 in the Dojo for him over those days).

M10 to M11 seems to be somewhere around 32,000 as well, maybe a little lower 30,000 or so. My Priestess, Elite Skulkers and Frost Savage are only just past M10, the power bar is about 3 letters in e.g. under the “O” in Frost, and they’re all showing 25,500ish to M11

It’s all over the place. My Illusionist who is at M11 and over half the bar filled is still showing 22750 points to go so in this case M11-M12 over 45000. My stone guard who I don’t use and just ranked up to M13 is showing 36304 to go so in this case M13-M14 is 37000.

My Treasure Hunters at M10 is at 34560 but I have some points up so in this case M10-M11 is 40000 plus

M12-M13 seems consistent at 32000 and M14-M15 is at 50000

EDIT- I am still using old version, my update wouldn’t download and now that I hear of the horrors I won’t update until necessary.

Now that I have access to my game via Bluestacks, I can tell what is going on.

You know this bar that grows larger as your birds gain more mastery to the next rank?
Based on the position of this bar, your new mastery amount has been calculated. For example, a 30% fill of that bar will mean a 30% fill of the new bar also. Your mastery rank won’t change; it will stay as it is.

Based on what I have on my own profile (and thanks to the fact I’ve got my Excel file for the Mastery, I can say this has changed:
– Mastery 6 -> 7 has slightly increased; Sea Dog now needs 8,511 to the next rank instead of 7,426. His bar was ~50% filled so the new Mastery amount needed to rank up from 6 to 7 is probably 17,000 (was 15,000).
– Mastery 8 -> 9 has decreased; Witch now needs 12,431 to the next rank instead of 17,355. Her bar was ~45% filled so the new Mastery amount needed to rank up from 8 to 9 is probably 22,500 (was 32,000).
– Mastery 9 -> 10 has heavily decreased; Bard now needs 5,580 to the next rank instead of 12,759. Her bar was ~75% filled so the new Mastery amount needed to rank up from 9 to 10 is probably 22,500 also (was 50,000).
– Mastery 10 -> 11 has heavily decreased also; my freshly upgraded Frost Savage has 28,323 to go to the next rank, so I assume the new Mastery amount needed to rank up from 10 to 11 is 28,500 (was 50,000).
– Mastery 11 -> 12 has heavily decreased as well; my Paladin has 7,663 to go to the next rank, instead of 12,292 before the update. His bar was ~75% filled so the new Mastery amount needed to rank up from 11 to 12 is probably 30,000-32,000 (was 50,000).
– Mastery 12 -> 13 has increased slightly; my freshly upgraded Spies need 34,337 to go to the next rank, instead of 32,473 before the update. I assume the new Mastery amount required to rank up from 12 to 13 is 34,500 (was 32,500).
– Mastery 14 -> 15 has decreased as well! My Wizard needs 37,733 to go to the final rank, instead of 44,231 before the update. His bar was ~12% filled so I assume the new Mastery amount required to rank up from 14 to 15 is ~42,500 (was 50,000).

In short, this is what I can definitely tell now:

2 -> 3: ?
3 -> 4: ?
4 -> 5: ?
5 -> 6: ?
6 -> 7: 17,000
7 -> 8: ?

The mastery required to get from rank 7 to rank 8 is still 20,000 thus unchanged. My Stone Guard just levelled up and he’s got 19,979 to go.

I noticed some odd new numbers as well. I have not made exact calculations but I am pretty sure my Elite Paladin suddenly needs 5000 extra mastery points to reach M14! I was down to less than 15000 points needed to reach M14 but now it is around 20000 points necessary again. The numbers for all my other birds changed, too, and every single birds seems to need more points, their bars have gone down. I had some birds I never played since the last update with even numbers (like 4500 or so) left to reach the next level (mostly M13) but now their numbers are odd. This should not be the case because I am buying their mastery only at the dojo. That is why/how I noticed the change.

I’ve found a couple of odd things too.

Level 7.

I have only 2 Classes and both figures went up.

Illusionist figures went up from 15263 to 16663
Frost Savage went up from 7432 to 11054

Level 8

I have 7 classes.

Stoneguard figure went up from 8742 to 10926. However, the other 6 classes figures did go down.

You didn’t use Frost Savage in the meantime? Huh. That would mean that there’s a somewhat odd number for 7 -> 8 now. o.o

Stone Guard’s figure went up, are you sure?!? The amount of mastery needed from 8 to 9 definitely went down to 23,000-ish!

Just before the update I wrote each classes numbers down. It’s something I always do and then double check after the update to make sure they are the same.

After reading everything that has been written about the new levels I was surprised, hence my post.

I’m going to write to Rovio and ask them why that has happened. I don’t think I will get a reply anytime soon but it interesting to see what they say.

I did not record my numbers as @suzyq or you did but my bars went “down” because of the amount of mastery needed to reach the next level has been increased. For me it is a longer way to go now. My Tricksters were short of M13 and now they are away some 9000+ points again. I saw the same on Wizard, he was approx. 16000 points away from M14, now he is around 20000 away, which is only halfway to M14 I suppose.

I must say that almost all my classes are in the range of M12 and M13, only Thunderbird has just barely reached M7 and TH hit M10, so I cannot give any numbers or observations regarding lower classes. Maybe there has been a bigger change only to higher classes? Because in my case I can definitely say that every single class that I am slowly leveling up from M12 to M13 needs more mastery after the update.

For some of my classes it’s a longer way to go now, too – but their bars didn’t go down, only the absolute numbers have increased.

M12 to M13 has definitely increased a lot so you’re quite unfortunate… M14 to M15 has gone down, and M8 to M9, M9 to M10, M10 to M11 and M11 to M12 have all heavily gone down as well.

I seem to have a reduced number of Dojo Snoutling offers at once now. Most of the time, I get between 2 and 3; right now I got 4 for the first time. Can anyone else confirm? I used to get 12+ offers sometimes.

@smwforever45 we’ll have to watch that, as it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Rovio would do that. Having just updated, I don’t have enough data to truly comment, as I have had 4-6 per Dojo visit. This does fit with previous visits, anywhere from the dreaded 0 up to 15 purchases.

So Epic just does not seem to like me… A few months ago I was only four classes short of bringing ALL my birds to M12, which we all know was formerly the highest level the birds/classes could reach and then, well, we know what happened… Now another change from Rovio. And I get less offers at the dojo, too! I consider myself lucky if I get more than 4 or 5 offers. It happened to me a couple of times that I did not get a single offer at all or only just 1.
